No one was there to accept them. The dock area was a complete disaster area, strewn with dumped stuff & downed signs. You couldn't even get to the door at the top of the ramp. A woman inside finally came out & mumbled something about everyone going on break at the same time before she helped take the boxes. I thought this might just be a one time issue with the dock. However, I was by there again a couple of days later & the dock was still an accident waiting to happen. It's an admirable concept but too bad it's not better managed. After looking at some reviews, I do agree, majority of the clothes are leaning more towards the younger audience, but it makes sense because it is located in a college town. The clothes I see in Dallas are more diverse, but leaning more towards the mature side. So, the clothes they have do depend on the location of the Uptown. For this particular location, I think they're pretty good on having clothes that are trendy and up-to-date for college students. The most recent visit I had was very pleasant. They were doing an event for an anniversary and I was welcomed with a coupon at the door which was nice! I ended up a few things including a pair of Aerie Crossover Flowy Shorts for such an amazing price that I couldn't even find looking through Depop and Poshmark. After checking out, I was given a swag bag that had some cute pieces in there and I left with a cookie lol. I love and miss San Marcos so much! This place is also one of the reasons why I enjoy coming back. I remember thrifting in SanMo wasn't always the best specifically for me, but I think this place is guaranteed to have the items you're looking for. Of course, Uptown will cost more than a thrift store, but I don't mind that because it makes it more efficient for me to find items in excellent condition.

Fresh eggs, milk , butter, bread, and every other kind of grocer item, and at pretty good prices. Mind you, the selection is limited due to the constraints of the store size, but they carry some pretty good brands, not knock-off typical dollar store fare. It's quick to shop & quick to check out.

All areas are organized and items are always marked. They have a large bric brac and household section so be sure to hit that first as I found so many great additions for our home from vases, glassware, a desk monitor stand, and even picture frames. There is plenty of space in the parking lot and super close to the national chain store next door where you could easily walk to if. needed. Staff is friendly and kind as well. We are greeted every time we walk in and when we head out. This Goodwill location is worth just a few hops away from South Austin. It will be worth your time to go out of the city to find some cool, cheap, and unique thrift finds.
