That being said Walmart has more competitive prices on a number of items that I buy. Of course Walmart has more than grocery items such as copy paper, paint, automotive parts, etc. Then again if you are just looking for groceries then Walmart can seem overwhelming. Another pet peeve I have with Walmart is that there aren't enough handicap spots. Worse than that sometimes I see a number of car parked in handicap spots when they don't have a handicap permit. Grrr.

I love the prices and selection. The substitution process is so easy. You get a text and you can accept substitutions so quickly. You get a text to let you know when your order is ready, click link head fo store. The app tracks you, so when you pull in and enter your parking spot number they are out in a jiffy! So quick and friendly service. Both times they were out of a few things which were fine and the substitutions are impressive. I like not having to call and wait for 15-20 for them to come to my car. So easy, in and out in less than 3 mins. Wow! Convenience. And no extra fees and low prices. My grocery shopping go to no other way!

On 7/15/2025,My husband and I went into the Walmart at 10445 Dixie on Hwy to purchase a few items…read moreone of them being a can of shaving cream. We found this item and it was in a locked case so we rang the bell for assistance. We had to ring it 3 times before the employee for that area came over. She seemed miffed due to another employee call her attention to wait on us. I asked for a can of shaving cream so she got it out but wouldn't give it to me. We were told that we could get it up front. We went on and picked up our other items and went to check out. She was waithing for us so I asked for the shaving cream. She would not let me have it and insisted that she had to ring it up herself. She did not ring any of our other items up but she stood right beside us as we checked out. I told her she was making us feel as though we were going to steal this shaving cream and she said the homeless people steal it and that was why it was locked up. My husband and I are in our seventies and are not homeless by any means. I was very insulted by her actions and statement. We felt that she thought was we would steal or she didn't like senior citizens. I was appalled that we were treated like that. I tried to reach the manager but was told he was there. I will not shop there ever again....

So the decor and design of this wal mart is sleek and nice with that new feel to it. However the good stops there. They very rarely have anything in stock and the workers here are lazy and unmotivated. Lines move slow and the workers won't acknowledge you. I'll tell myself thanks and you're welcome sarcastically every-time I get the silent treatment. The clientele here is to put it nicely "rough". Lots of riff raff and crime happen here. Seems like the local news is always talking of robberies, child abductions and even murders at this location. So that's always fun. A long time ago there was a wal mart at this location across from the mall. It was dirty and smaller but I loved it. Because nobody went here and they had stock on everything. They since ripped that down and left for about 5-10 years and then they built This new one. Which is nice and big. But the service, stock, people and workers all here make this location a "only come here as an absolute last resort" type situation. Overall I would recommend not coming to this location. There are 3 wal Marts well within ten miles of this location that have a smidge better service and definetly better stock.

There was even a sunscreen that expired 4/2024 on the shelf almost a year later. If I found it at home, I would probably still use it but I don't want to buy it expired. Also, several of the sale signs were wrong. I love Kroger's weekly deals. I saw the salmon sale price sign and quickly tossed it in my cart. But then remembered seeing a coupon for the sale price last week. I learned the hard way that you should always verify the sale price dates on the bottom left of the sale price sign. Of course the deal was over. Im wondering how many thought they were getting the salmon for the sale price and was unknowingly charged the regular price. Not just at Kroger, but any store check those expiration dates and sale price dates!

Pretty standard super grocery store in the same vein as a Winn Dixie or the grocery side of a wal mart. They do require a Kroger plus card to get discounted prices. So that's kinda annoying. Just charge everyone the same price and be on with it. Especially since if you don't have one a worker or nearby customer will just let you use there. Anyways Thai particular location is a nicer one. Very spacious and very large. They do a. Good job on the upkeep of the store. They have decent sales items as most Kroger do (as long as you have the Kroger plus card). Overall not a bad location. Service here is solid. Lines can get long as there aren't too many grocery options in Shepherdsville but they do a good job on keeping the lines moving on my few trips here when in the area.
