Case in point, I spent well over $200 today, but whatever soulless piece of garbage you had manning the checkstand I went through should be taken out behind the store and flogged mercilessly, then taught the fundamentals of Customer Service 101. Failing that, just simple lessons in how to be a right and proper human being would suffice, but America, sadly, no longer has finishing schools, when it needs them the most. I mean, this same guy checked me through about two weeks ago and seemed fine. Today? Not one word, no engagement, eye contact, even though I had to speak to him at one point. He just mutely and absent-mindedly hands me the receipt with a vacant "I don't give a shit about you" look on his mindless face, I with five bags of groceries to bag myself, with absolutely ZERO help from this loser. Younger guy, close-cropped brown hair, he was on checkstand 2, around 4 p.m., and if he tries that mute, vacant, NPC waste-of-space shit with me next time (that is, if I am forced to go through his checkstand), he's going to get my opinion on his complete and utter lack of personality, people skills, or customer service capacity, and I may even call the manager over and dress him down, too for being stupid enough to hire zeroes like this in the first place, who should be digging sewer ditches, not interacting with your valued customers. People like this are the biggest advertisement for grocery stores all converting to self-checkout, and them to go on EDD / Unemployment. Please consider it. Oh, four stars for the products and prices, but it's too bad that that's overshadowed by having absolute inhuman creeps doing your product-beeping and representing your store in a viscerally negative way.

The attendants were very friendly...and it was wonderful chatting with them. It's not a big store but they sure have a lot of different ways to incorporate "Weed" into the various souvenirs. We spent more than I expected but had a lot of fun. If you're in the area it's worth a look.

It started off as a random thing and now it's happening more and more frequently. And when they close early is random so one day it'll be 10pm like normal and other days it 8pm. And it's not made clear. Very inconsistent and unreliable. It's totally fine if you want to change the operating hours just be CONSISTENT about it. Or just make a permanent change to hours. It's very frustrating when the posted hours say 10pm and they close at 8:00pm and youve scheduled your plans around them closing at 10. Especially if you aren't in the mood to drive into town. And for people who don't have a car or have unreliable transportation it must be even more frustrating. And in the past they close for maintenance / temporarily close which is fine. And totally understandable. It'd be very helpful if they posted a big yard sign in front of their driveway or something similar to visually notify people driving by they are temporarily closed. Just some form of visual notification at the beginning of their driveway would be wonderful. Because alot of people go to town and shop then swing by the dollar general on the way home. And you can't see the tiny sign they've placed in the door. So they look open.. and then you have to drive back to town to the dollar general in the city of weed. And it's an annoyance that could be avoided. Other than that great store. . I love having a store so close to lake shastina. That's the only reason I'm providing my constructive criticisms. They could literally look outside of the window and see our truck hooked up to the gas pump. So this business wants you to sit there and wait for your gas to finish pumping before you are allowed to use the restroom-no other gas station in CA is like that. We will never stop here again. There's plenty of other gas stations and we will be using a more reasonable one from now on because who wants to stand next to your vehicle to collect a receipt in order to use the restroom? Also wanted to add that the lady behind the counter was incredibly rude. Do yourself a favor and just go to one of the other gas stations in Weed.
