Unfortunately, since they moved to Main Street (Mt Shasta Blvd) something is not right there . . . and I know what it is. Store and shop proprietors in the retail market should above all else have two goals in mind, excellent customer service and excellent products. When either of those two things fail, the business usually soon follows. I regret to inform Yelp readers that Mountain Song Natural Foods has a very grumpy and unfriendly female person working there that may be the owner. Today, I went in to buy a Tofu Sandwich and Chinese Herbal Cola for lunch. The store was clean enough, organized well enough, and some fairly nice items were displayed. So, the products seemed fine. The Tofu Sandwich and Chinese Herbal Cola were also fine. Me, being a very avid Yelper means I am always excited to write wonderful reviews and help promote businesses, especially small owner run businesses. I politely asked if I could take a photo of the woman behind the register for their Yelp business entry and was mistreated! She rudely said "NO!", looked away, and then mocked Yelp itself. She proclaimed, "I don't care to promote my retail business, because I'm going to focus on Internet selling soon!" Then as I walked out she muttered, "Yel-pppp" in a sarcastic way. The reason I am giving Mountain Song Natural Foods 2 stars instead of 1 star is the other person behind the register, a male co-worker, heard my conversation with the woman and tried to smooth things over by smiling and saying, "She doesn't know what she's talking about." The Shasta Spritzer was a tasty cocktail made with their own distilled gin and if you are going for non-alcoholic, the Ruby Spritz was yummy as well. The staff was welcoming and friendly but we were seated and forgotten about for 10+ minutes and then it took another 10 minutes to get our beer & wine. We were one of three tables; there were plenty of staff. I had to get up to request condiments and later flag the waitress down for another drink. The food was thrown together with very little care & my burger was missing all the toppings described on the menu and our sides were mixed up. All this with the "Manager" right there, strolling around casually chatting with her staff. Very Disappointing!
