Longest line ever to check in. With no movement after 30 minutes. Not enough staff. You get what you pay for. Terrible experience

    ### Yelp Review for Priceless Nifty Car Rental…read more I booked my car rental through Priceline as part of a travel bundle that included a flight and hotel. While the flight and hotel were satisfactory, my experience with Priceless Nifty Car Rental was far from acceptable. Upon arrival, the rental instructions advised us to call when we were on the shuttle bus. After doing so, we were told to wait until we reached the drop-off location, which felt unnecessarily confusing. IMO, it would have made more sense to call upon arrival at the pickup spot, but we complied. Following a lengthy 22-minute drive, we called again to confirm our arrival. We were then instructed to wait for a driver in a grey van with yellow lettering, which turned out to be quite a distance from the rental car location-an additional 5-8 minutes away. When the van finally arrived, it wasn't in the most appealing condition--dusty and unkempt. The driver informed us she had to stop for gas, despite us having called well in advance. Upon reaching the rental location, there was only one red Nissan that appeared to be in disrepair. The other 4 cars on the lot belonged to the staff. The process of retrieving the vehicle was frustrating. I was surprised by the $400 deposit requirement, and when I inquired about the email instructions, Nicole explained that they needed the first call to prepare the car and the second call would initiate pick up. She also mentioned that the reason for the lone single car was because they were overbooked and needed to retrieve a vehicle from another location. All RED FLAGS! The rental fee of $127 had already been prepaid, but the condition of the car was alarming. Here are some of the issues I discovered: 1. Gas tank was below half. 2. Engine light was illuminated. 3. Skid traction light was on. 4. Tire pressure light was activated. 5. Back seat had stains, possibly dried milk or vomit. 6. Blonde hair was found in the rear window seal. 7. Temp tag indicated it might have been recently acquired. 8. Scuffed hubcaps and a missing paint section on the driver's side front fender. 9. The steering wheel and gear shifter were filthy. 10. Wet paper mats were placed on the front seats, misleadingly suggesting the car had been cleaned. 11. A cigarette burn hole was present in the rear seat. 12. Overall, the vehicle showed numerous nicks and dings. After bringing these issues to Nicole and the owner's attention, I received acknowledgment HOWEVER it resulted in the form of gaslighting . The owner acknowledged my concerns about the back seat stains and stated they'd had the car steamed but those stains were stubborn (not accurate, a quick wipe down with a lysol wipe showed otherwise) but insisted they wouldn't hold me liable. However, I felt uncomfortable driving a car in such poor condition, particularly with the engine light on. After driving just a short distance I experienced severe vibrations leaving the lot and therefore IMMEDIATELY doing a Uturn, and returned the vehicle, citing safety concerns. The owner instructed Nicole to issue a refund for my deposit, but when I inquired about the prepaid rental fee, I was informed that they wouldn't receive payment for 30 days. I was advised to contact Priceline for a cancellation, which led to further frustration. Despite my efforts, Priceline was unable to secure a refund due to the misleading claims from the rental office. Ultimately, I returned to the office only to be offered another unserviced vehicle, which I declined. My wife and I opted for an Uber instead. If you're considering renting from Priceless Nifty Car Rental, I strongly advise against it. Their practices and the condition of their vehicles do not meet acceptable standards. Save your time and money by choosing a reputable car rental company instead.

Do not rent from this company. We were in New Orleans in…read moreMarch for a wedding and had a very short trip, which made the problems with this rental even more frustrating. The day after we arrived, we picked up the rental car. We drove only 0.9 miles back to our hotel, parked the car, and went inside to grab our things before heading to the venue. When we came back out and started to leave, we backed the car out of the parking space and immediately heard a dragging noise. I stopped the car right away and got out to inspect it. The entire front-right section of the bumper was hanging off. I immediately called NOLA Rental and spoke with someone I believe was named Devon. I took photos and sent them to him, explaining that their car had literally fallen apart after less than a mile of driving. He told me to bring the vehicle back and that they would provide another car. When I arrived, Devon was already prepared to switch us into another vehicle. My two grown sons had followed me from the hotel and were outside inspecting the damaged car while I was inside. Devon came outside with me to look at the vehicle, and all four of us clearly saw that several zip ties were holding the bumper together. We also observed that the front bolts underneath the bumper were completely missing. I made the mistake of not taking more photos at that moment because we were standing there with their own employee, all looking at the obvious pre-existing damage. I believed that would be sufficient. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that NOLA Rental attempted to charge my bank card twice on the same day--once for $300 and again for $250. I immediately called and spoke with who I believe was Devon. I explained who I was and asked what was going on. One additional detail that raised concerns for me: during that call, he seemed confused and initially thought I was someone else. He kept referring to an incident involving a vehicle that had allegedly been parked at the airport and had hit a post. I had to repeatedly explain who I was and which rental I was calling about. Whether it was simple confusion or something else, it did not inspire confidence. After I explained the situation, he told me he did not know why his manager had attempted the charges and said he would have her call me back. The next day, they filed a claim with my insurance company. That claim is currently under investigation. Since then, they have attempted two more charges to my card. I have called numerous times, and every time I am told someone will call me back. No one has ever returned my calls. As if that wasn't enough, the replacement vehicle they gave us had a passenger-side seatbelt that was folded and jammed inside the buckle assembly, making that seatbelt completely unusable. If you absolutely must rent from this company, take photos and videos of every inch of the vehicle before leaving the lot. Document the exterior, interior, wheels, bumpers, and undercarriage. The rental contract stated there was no damage to the front of the vehicle. However, I later found photos in a review from 2024 that appear to show previous damage to the same area of the front bumper. I am grateful that the wedding itself was beautiful because dealing with this company was an incredibly ugly experience. Months later, it is still not resolved, and I am still dealing with the insurance claim and unauthorized charge attempts. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend renting elsewhere. One additional detail that raised concerns for me: when I first called after noticing the attempted charges on my card, the employee I spoke with seemed confused and initially thought I was someone else. He kept referring to an incident involving a vehicle that had allegedly been parked at the airport and had hit a post. I had to repeatedly explain who I was and which rental I was calling about. Given that confusion, it left me wondering how many damage claims and disputes they may have been dealing with involving this vehicle or other rentals. I can't say for certain what happened in those other situations, but the conversation did not inspire confidence.
