    Final sale for fake products.

This store sells fake Labubus. Very deceiving. The boxes were replaced with fake Labubus and they claim it's real and no refunds/exchanges. Please don't fall for this and don't support this business.

I'm part of a non-profit organization & today 7 industry friends were shopping for a Local Women's Center (see receipt). We were treated unkind and with a tone that would be unacceptable with any owner or brand. Apparently we were blocking the aisle as we were unloading 4 shopping carts of supplies. We immediately complied and 3 of us moved and waited near the door. Apparently that wasn't enough. We were asked again rudely not to block the aisle from customers. This time NOT ONE customer was in sight. I guess a please isn't part of the training manual here. We all have bad days and I guess she had a taxing day at 10:11am. Let's try to be kind to customers or better yet to everyone. It's also free to smile and to great customers.

Seven is larger and different color than the 0. Also, loosing its shape along with the heart by day four.

This rating is for their helium balloons. The number balloons are two different colors (supposedly rose gold) and the seven and heart have shrunken considerably by day four. Also, one of the balloons that was listed as in stock on their website wasn't available when I went. All four balloons ran me about $18.

I needed some stones/pebbles to place in a case for one of dying plants and my brother told me about this place. First off, everything's $1.11. This store has some great selections for party supplies. It's clean and organized and on Burbank Blvd between Hollywood Way and Pass so there isn't much traffic here and parking in their lot is a breeze. Totally found what I needed and then some.

Ok this place rocks! It's so clean and organized! I love that the aisles are wide and not jammed packed with floor displays. They have everything from makeup supplies, house supplies, party supplies, art supplies, shipping supplies, knick knacks... Think a small version of MICHAEL'S with a Dollar Store flare. No produce or real food like the 99¢ Only Store, but they do have some snacks. And seasonal things. I love this place! Ample parking. Clean bathrooms. And friendly staff. Bring your own bag or pay ..10¢ for one of theirs. You gotta check this place out!

I keep giving this place a chance because we enjoy their craft section. They are now raising their prices again to 1.51 so it's not going to be worth going there anymore since the dollar store and Michael's using coupons gets you the same deal (or better). Employees are so rude! They play a recording overhead when someone looks "suspicious" to them. Also a new recording now children come in

Way better than the .99only store. Better products and a cool staff. Give the staff kudos for dealing with some crazy crazy customers!

Another positive is the store is well organized and clean, which I think also reflects on the great staff here. However, I haven't been to Five Below in years and goodness has it changed! It surely can't be called Five Below anymore - hardly anything is $5 or less! Some books are $5 and then it's pretty hard to find $5 items. Seriously everything is so expensive here now! I was shocked to see so many $25 and $35 items! I'm like...what in the world is this? It's basically just like a Bed Bath & Beyond now. Plus, at least half of the items are not even priced! We had to take 5 items up to check prices I was interested in and then to learn the tiny items were $10 and $15 - bizzare. There were tons of items I thought were cool, but without prices I didn't want to keep bothering the store people so just passed on them. I just am not vibing with Five Below anymore! There are no deals or bargains to be had. I ended up buying a small travel game for $6, a hat for $5 and chalk - one of the very few items I could find under $5 in the store. I was looking at Kpop Demon Hunters items here and they had posters for $25! I literally went to Dollar Tree right after and found the exact same poster for $5~ yikes! It's so weird because the bag they put everything in at checkout, still says Five Below - everything $1-$5 and that is no longer the case. Five Below needs a rebrand to ThirtyFiveBelow or $5-$35MidRangeItems. I definitely won't be back!

There's everything you need here - makeup, greeting cards, toys, seasonal products, pet supplies, bedding, electronic accessories, candy & snacks. I'm sure there are more that I didn't list. The store isn't that big but they really pack it in. Aisles were wide & accessible, products were easy to reach. I deducted 1 star because it's hard to see where each "department" was - it would be nice if there's a sign above each area that said "Pets" or "Toys" but I guess this forces shoppers to have to browse each area & aisle for more sales. This is a great place to go to if you're looking for last minute birthday, Christmas or Hanukkah gift!

Best of all, while the owner is new to Sherman Oaks, she is very well known and connected to Hollywood and the music industries. Lateasha, the owner, is a fixture in the store, always there to help and to let you know who owned the items, and when known, when they wore them. A celebrity in her own right--(the daughter one of the original members of The Temptations), grew up amidst superstars, and she herself was a recording artist with Motown and on Broadway as well. The DISCOUNT PLACE (aka "98"), Whomever it was who coined…read morethe term "Hole in the wall" could've easily been referring to this tiny general merchandise store hidden deep inside an unkempt mini-strip mall in the heart of Scum Valley. Opps sorry, I meant to say Sun Valley.... The store is difficult to spot from the main street, Sunland Blvd, and is completely invisible from Nettleton, the adjoining street. The best way to visit this local gem is via the alley behind the mall which begins off of Nettleton Street. Park in any of the first 5 parking spaces and the nose of your car will be pointing directly at this bodega. As I said, this place is TINY, maybe 300 to 400 square feet of floor space max! Yet, despite their small size somehow they almost always seem to have the item I need on a shelf waiting for me. For example: A few days ago, following a shopping expedition to Target & CVS, I found that I was still "in need" of a few odd items; an extension telephone cable, a female 2 female coupler, some utility candles, and some butane fuel for a camping stove. Believe it or not they had them all and the best part is: I paid only .98 cents each! (ALMOST everything is at that price point here.) I do have one complaint, which cost them a star, they recently began charging customers .10 for carryout bags. Yes, I can hear some of you thinkin: 'So what dude, lots of stores charge for bags in LA cause its' the law. All the stores are doing it, Duh.' It is a fact that "all" stores seem to be suddenly charging this bag-tax but only a specific few are required to do so. Many, like this shop are exempt but want to charge me anyway, which irritates me. Additionally, stores, such as this one, collect the fee and then give you the type of plastic bag that has been banned from use by the same law which establishes the tax! The law states that a store with sales over 1 mil./yr must provide either paper bags or reusable plastic bags (meaning the bag must be able to be used carry something like 20 lbs. for at least 50- 100 x's). IT SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITS plastic single use bags, PERIOD. Obviously, this is a new pet peeve of mine...so if it is not an issue to you, then uh never-mind. The store is open daily from 8 to 8 and seems to be family owned/operated. Due to the imminent opening of a Dollar Tree store less than a quarter of a mile away this business' days may be numbered. So If you find yourself anywhere in the area and are thinkin of going to the .99 Cent Store to get something...GO TO THE DISCOUNT PLACE and help out a neighbor instead. You'll get a Gold Star for the day if you do! Oh, one last thing...the name is almost misleading, the prices on an item by item basis are the same as elsewhere. I have never found any real bargains there, at least not price-wise. Ciao fer now! D
