My first time and definitely booking again. Check in process was simple and quick (However there is a long wait line, so plan ahead) Make sure ID matches your card! Have your booking info ready. My guy Arabeque came through for me. I booked a mid size specialty and was afraid they rented out my preferred car because of the long wait. The jeep was brand new, clean, and ready to go. I had zero issues. The return process was smooth, and breezy as well. Thank you Arabeque for your hospitality! Plan ahead because of long lines and wait time 45 min plus, which isn't a big deal for me because the rates are low. Makes up for it, This location has a Starbucks inside, lobby waiting area, vending machines, and WiFi. You are given a number and you go downstairs to pick up the rental. Then you check out with the parking attendant. Take photos of your rental in the garage. Booked through Priceline Ten day rental Reservation 10AM. Arrived 930am and checked out 1030am Deposit: 200 (amount varies depending on driver/location)

    Ding on door.

Picked up my rental tonight, arrived promptly at 10, was set up with Thrifty, sign said go to Dollar. Walked over to Dollar and both agents didn't bother to look up from their phones when I stood there, had to walk closer to draw their attention. Once I was addressed, I realized she was not friendly or customer service oriented, no name badge, condescendingly asked if I was going to get liability insurance, I said I got it through Priceline, and I have auto insurance that covers it, as well as my Chase Amazon Visa Prime also covers as well. Was directed to get my rental from Hertz area, "key is in the car" not even a good night, have a good evening, nothing. There are dings all over the rear bumper of the car, windows dirty and fogged up. Hope the drop off service is better. I'm gonna have to double check the contract to make sure I wasn't charged for insurance. I will pray for her.

I had a horrible experience with this company back in 2024. I almost had another bad experience but this time, they actually delivered. I did feel bad for the only employee working the front desk though. People were being so mean to him. They just need to add more staff. My car was really nice for the price I paid. I would take my chances again.

They should have a grim reaper here waiting for people to die in line.

One of the worst travel decisions I have ever made in my life. I wish I read the reviews before booking. Don't shop for LV car rentals based on price alone unless you just want a low end Motel 6 type of experience. This is your first scam experience when visiting here. No wonder we don't visit Las Vegas anymore. Look at the pictures of this line! Insurance scams too. Ugh!

Upon returning my car this morning to the Las Vegas airport rental to dollar I was going up the ramp and I realized I left my phone in the cupholder. I went back down in the car had already been taken to the washbay one of the attendance went out there to see if my phone was in there. It wasn't. He brought the car back, but not only was my phone missing but the receipt that I left in the car next to it that I was initially given when I ran the car all I got was shrugs. I'm very disappointed that they hire people that are very dishonest there do not leave anything in the car and I will never rent from them again until everyone I can just stay away from that company.

The original car with low battery.

Worst experience of my life. Our flight lands at around 8:45 PM in Boston and we picked up our rental car and left the airport around 10:30 PM. We drive about 2 miles out of the Boston Logan Airport just for our car to die because it was apparently below 5% charge. I have never driven an electric vehicle before and didn't know where to check battery levels before driving out of the airport. I call Dollar Rental support and they have the audacity to ask why I didn't just turn around and bring it back to the airport. Um I don't know maybe because it's dead. They patch me over to the emergency road sode assistance line and send someone out to tow the car. Meanwhile it's December in Boston and we are in a dead car freezing our a**es off. They told us that we had to wait for the tow guy to show up for the tow before we could head back to the airport to pick up another car. We finally make it back to the airport well past midnight. There is a line of angry people waiting for cars and the manager lets people know that there aren't any more cars. How can Dollar Rental take people's money and then not have cars. The manager, Igor, was apologetic to us and said he would get us a new car and we wouldn't have to return it fully charged because we were given a dead one to begin with. it's now officially approaching about 2:30 AM and one of their workers, Jennifer, is trying to chrck the car out to us on their computer system, but it's not letting her do it. Igor comes in and writes his manager number on our slip and says we can just take the new car and leave and show the exit gatekeeper this paper. We take the new car and end up finally getting to our AirBnb and sleeping at about 4:00 AM. We missed our family member's birthday celebration and all of our family plans went out the window. We finally return the car at the end of the trip on December 25th at around 3:33 AM. It is now January 8th and they are still charging us continuously for the original car because I guess they think we still have it and won't close out our contract. I have picture proof of everything, even the return of second the car we were given along with the case number for the tow of the original car. No matter how many times we call in, nobody can seem to get us to the right person to close this case. I am behind words and beyond angry. I hate this company. I hate the customer service I've had to deal with. I hate the fact that I even chose to use them. I will never book with them again and I will always steer anyone I know away from this company.

Where to begin...thought I got a good price when I made a reservation online and was not expecting what I encountered here. We arrived around 10:30pm on a Friday to a long line which they were quoting a 2 hour wait time. They then proceeded to not allow anyone else in line about 10 min later with the security staff telling people there aren't enough cars and that Apparently making a reservation does not guarantee you a car, only guarantees the rate. They told them to come back early the next day but still had to wait hours to see if a car was available. Naturally I was getting nervous that I wasn't going to get a car also and a few people though the same and got out of line. Let's just say a lot of people were frustrated and quite a few actually yelling at security. Between the 3 security people there only 1 was nice and not condescending. I decided to wait it out and eventually made it to the counter. Now I don't blame the counter staff, they didn't cause it. Luckily there were still a few cars left and ultimately I ended up with a slightly upgraded car. Not a great experience and they really need to rethink their business strategy.

Taken mid-line with 20 people in front and 20 people behind.

But I probably saved $300 over any other car rental for four days. My only issue is the gasoline. Normally they tell you to bring back the car with a full tank. I was asked if I would return it with a half a tank or empty. I said I would return it full. They said no, half a tank or empty. Apparently those are the only options. They were bragging how they are $.20 less than in town, but unless you bring it back at exactly half a tank or on fumes, you will pay too much. Only need 1 gallon for your rental? Still paying for half a tank. Absolutely ridiculous. Maybe it was a hard sale tactic because the sales person gets a commission, but I would really like the option to return with a full tank like normal. Other than that, pretty good.

By the time you add baggage fees, seat selection, taxes, hotel resort fees, or rental car extras, the total can be much higher than expected. For example, Frontier Airlines may charge around $95 for a carry-on bag depending on when and how you pay for it. That fee isn't always obvious when you're first comparing prices, so what seems like a cheap flight can quickly become much more expensive. Before booking, always check the total cost--including baggage fees, cancellation policies, and any extra charges--and compare it with booking directly through the airline, hotel, or car rental company. Sometimes the "deal" isn't really a deal once all the fees are added.

It took a hot minute for our luggage to arrive on the carousel, so that didn't help! When we got to the rental car 'corral' there was a line about 15 people deep. Thankfully, Alamo had 3, possibly 4, desks open, staffed & helping customers. Despite the high number of people in line, we did NOT wait more than 10-15 minutes before getting to the desk ourselves. Picking up the rental was a bit out of the ordinary for us this time. After we filled out the contract & paid for the class of car we wanted, we were directed outside to the Alamo lot. Once there, the porter directed us to row 4 and to pick out whichever car we wanted. We didn't have much to choose from... but it was nice that we could choose ourselves. We were able to compare trunk space as well as head space for my husband who's considerably taller than I am. After we made our choice and exited the lot, the adventures began. The car was clean with low mileage at pick up. We simply chose it because of its beautiful blue color, lol. Priorities!! 3 states in 5 days! The car was most definitely fuel efficient. We used less than $100 in gas! It was spacious for me... but not so much for my husband. It drove comfortably across the highways & through the tunnels. It did well in the desert heat, as well! Returning it was seamless, as well! We gave ourselves a little extra time as we had to drop off and take the shuttle back to the airport. For once, I can recommend a car rental location.... At the time of this review, the Budget located at Harry Reid international airport has an overall…read morerating of only 1.5 stars. After my experience, I can understand why. My experience with this particular Las Vegas location was completely different from my experiences with Budget locations in Denver and Seattle, which were both excellent. I prebooked and prepaid for my rental online. I ended up being one day late picking up the vehicle because I had to push my flight back. I tried calling the location to let them know, but after being on hold for 15 minutes, I had to hang up. I understood that I might potentially have to pay for the additional day. When I arrived, the woman behind the counter was extremely rude and repeatedly tried to upsell me. She used what I felt were scare tactics to convince me to buy additional insurance. She then told me there were no comparable "upgraded" vehicles that I had already paid for and that I would have to pay more for a vehicle that was not an upgrade. I pulled out my phone and checked Budget's website myself. There were numerous upgraded vehicles available. When I pointed this out and reminded her that I had already prepaid for my rental, her attitude became increasingly hostile. She told me that even though I had prepaid, they would rent the vehicle to someone else if I didn't pick it up on time. She again tried to get me to pay more for another vehicle. She also told me that I was "lucky that they were going to do anything for me." When I refused, she attempted to cancel my reservation four or five times and became increasingly authoritative and confrontational. I was extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. Eventually, she agreed to honor my reservation and gave me a vehicle. Ironically, after dealing with her for almost an hour, I walked into the lot and saw plenty of clean, newer vehicles of similar value sitting there. The vehicle I was given was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned after the previous rental. There was a wrapper on the floor in the back seat, and the exterior was covered in dirt and water spots. The vehicle also had numerous scratches and dents. I documented the condition of the car when I received it. By this point, I had already spent more than an hour dealing with this situation after traveling for many hours, so I decided to take the vehicle rather than spend even more time arguing at the counter. I subsequently called Budget's 800 number and explained what happened. The representative I spoke with was helpful and acknowledged my concerns. I was told that Budget would reimburse me for one full day of the rental because of the situation. I was specifically told that the refund would take 7-14 business days. It has now been more than 21 days, and I still have not received the refund that Budget promised. To be clear, I have had good experiences with other Budget locations, including Denver and Seattle. My problem is with this particular Las Vegas location and the way this transaction was handled. Between the aggressive upselling, the refusal to initially honor a prepaid reservation, the condition of the vehicle, the way I was treated at the counter, and the failure to issue a promised refund within the stated timeframe, this was one of the worst rental-car experiences I've had. I strongly recommend using another rental company when renting in Las Vegas.

Dates of rental: June 5 - June 7, 2026…read more After driving my car across the country only a couple weeks earlier, I was not enthusiastic about doing five more hours each way for a wedding in Phoenix. I found a good rate for a very nice car and the pickup and drop off process could not have been smoother. Having an account with them made it easy to just walk right up to the car, scope it out to ensure it didn't have any dents, dings, scratches, or holes and be on my way. While I probably would have liked something that got a LITTLE better gas mileage, this was the class of car that I paid for, so I really have nothing to complain about here. For all of the issues I've had renting cars over the years, it was refreshing to have a positive experience for a change.

I've been renting from Hertz at the Las Vegas airport about once a month for the past year, and I'm…read morea President's Circle member, so I have plenty of experience with this location. Unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. Despite having President's Circle status, I rarely find a decent selection of vehicles when I arrive. The fleet availability is often extremely limited, and the cars that are available are frequently not what you would expect for someone with the highest Hertz loyalty status. What makes it even more frustrating is that I've seen Gold members and President's Circle members effectively treated the same at this location, with little to no apparent priority given to President's Circle members. If there's no meaningful difference in vehicle selection or treatment, it really makes you question the value of maintaining the higher status. I rent cars frequently and have used Hertz extensively, but the Las Vegas airport location needs to do a much better job maintaining its fleet and honoring the benefits that come with President's Circle. Bottom line: extremely limited inventory, poor vehicle selection, and very little benefit to being President's Circle at this location. I hope Hertz takes the feedback seriously because this location is not providing the experience its loyal customers should expect.

When I first walked up to the counter, I was so overwhelmed that I told him, "I think I'm going to need a minute. I'm going to go sit down, and I'll be back." Instead of rushing me or making me feel like an inconvenience, he showed genuine kindness and understanding. A few minutes later, after noticing I had grabbed a coffee, he came over and asked in the nicest way, "Are you feeling ready now?" That simple act of compassion meant more than he probably realizes. Once I was ready, Charles took care of everything quickly and efficiently. He was not only kind and patient, but also incredibly professional. He had me in and out in record time, making the entire rental process smooth, stress-free, and easy. Exceptional customer service is rare these days, and Charles truly went above and beyond. He turned a frustrating situation into a positive experience, and because of him, I left feeling valued as a customer. If management sees this review, Charles deserves recognition for the outstanding service he provides. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism!

I told the employee last night that I already had it. My husband is paranoid. We have umbrella, policies or credit card gives us car insurance. We do not need it. His reply was meant to show me that it was already toggled, and he couldn't un toggle it or click it whatever the words would be so he lied to me made me get the insurance charged me for so many other fees anyway my story is below, but I just wanted to make sure that Avis knows I do not want this insurance. I told him I do not want this insurance he told me I did not have a choice. He told me I had to have this insurance so I need you guys to remove this insurance cause I do not need it. I do not want it I did not legally allow him to put it on there. I told him not to. Last night I had a rental car at budget rental car. Unfortunately I lost my wallet and had a paper license and budget won't accept those. Then I went to Avis as Budget said they will accept. I went to Avis, older gentleman helped me and he knew I was desperate and made me feel sick as he knew I was Completely reliant on what he was going to do and we talked about it and I talked about how desperate I was and what would I do if I couldn't get the car and so he got me a car and he added every fee under the book on top of that car he showed me that I have no choice but to have the insurance he showed it as it was clicked in like I couldn't un click it and he said I had no choice. So this car rental came out to $1000 for September 3 to the 11th and he told me the reason was because of the holiday weekend. Today I tried to see what the rate would be from September 4 to the 11th which includes the weekend and it was $500 for everything because I don't get the insurance cause we have umbrella policies and my credit card gives me rental insurance anyway I need someone to contact me. I've tried your customer service. I talked to somebody named Justin in Jamaica and he didn't know what to do. Please somebody contact me please this employee stole money from me. Lied to me about my ability to get insurance, probably just for a small commission for himself. I do Not remember ever having a problem with Avis before, but this employee is a problem. He literally lied to me. He encouraged my fear and he stole from me. Last night I had a rental car at budget rental car.
