Save a Lot is one of those grocery stores I go to for a limited amount of shopping rather than…read moredoing most of it there. Some items because they price it right and a few because they have it. For example, once in a while I like to have salami sandwiches, and they sell a brand that is reasonably priced. This particular branch has many shelves of Amazon items that were not picked up or returned or something. Some of them are oddball items. I almost bought some Goya chicken bouillon that we use in soups, but upon closer inspection I noticed it had a secondary spice or flavor in it. I forget what, but not anything I want as a base for soup. Still I check the Amazon shelves just in case each time. They often also have good sales on meats. So while it is by no means one of my regular grocery haunts, I do stop by when I am in Waterville for some other reason.
