As we all know, almost all 99 cent stores are no longer in business and Dollar Tree stores took over. Most of us truly were loyal customers of the 99 cent stores. They will forever be missed and remembered. After my visit to Cafe De Olla on the 17th of this month, I noticed this Dollar Tree adjacent to the restaurant. Walked in and was nicely greeted by their security guard. Employees are very kind, nice and helpful. There were 2 on the floor and wanted to help me instantly. I didn't really know what I was looking for. As I started to browse the aisles, few things caught my eye and I realized that I can make good use of them. Some I needed, and some I liked. So I ended up buying few things. Got a nice, standard size notebook (which I need) for everyday use, a cute small nightlight, a nice vase for flowers. I also needed some yellow color Sharpies that I often use. 2 boxes of matches, 2 coasters with inspirational writings on them, and saw this compact pill cases that can be used for pills, vitamins etc..got 2. Also got a small mug. For all that, I only paid less than $24.00. So convenient. Store is a nice, standard size. It has 2 restrooms, a nice size parking lot, and was very clean and maintained. They have everything from A to Z. All nicely organized and fully stocked! More people need to do reviews on Dollar Trees and be more positive than negative. Thank you all.. read more

This location is now open formerly known as the 99 cent store. (I miss them all) Parking lot is decent and there is also street parking surrounding it. The store itself can use a little more organization and additional cashiers on the floor. It seems to be a trend in most dollar tree stores. If you take your time browsing, then yes you are bound to find items. I was able to find foldable cubby organizers and they're actually good. They have a lot of back to school supplies and even room decorating items. Love to splurge at any dollar store honestly. read more

Unbelievably rude customer service! I arrived at 9:50PM--10minutes before their posted 10:00 PM closing time (I was only getting ONE item I needed) only to have an employee yell at me outside that they weren't taking any more customers. Her excuse? The line inside was too long and there was only one cashier. Meanwhile, she was outside throwing away trash instead of opening a second register to help her team and the customers. Turning away paying customers early because of poor time management is unacceptable. Dollar Tree needs to hire better employees who actually want to do their jobs. Will not be back. read more

There's a really miserable cashier who works there who loves to say something nasty to every customer she encounters. The first time I went in a couple of months ago, I was just curious what it looked like in there, since the 99c store was gone. I actually really loved it there! While walking around, I overheard her telling one customer "sir, why don't you just go back to your homeless shelter." Then a couple of minutes later to the next customer, "ma'am, just look at what kind of car you're driving." Over and over again with the rudeness. Today I went in, excited because I saw some items available on the website at that location. None of the items were there, so I left. As I was stepping through the door, she yelled "Ma'am" at me (apparently her favorite way to start the insult) while there was a line of customers waiting to be helped. I was still in the doorway, and asked her what did she need. She scowled at me and refused to speak until I came in and got closer. Then she asked me did I need anything. I was already annoyed because I knew she was about to accuse me of stealing something. Then she came out and said it. "Why did you even come in the store then?!" Wow I wish I told her it was none of her business, but I was stunned and just told her they didn't have what I needed. She then tried to change her tune since the customers were all watching. She said "well you could've asked me to help you." Blaming me again, may I point out. And if I had gone up to ask her, she would've no doubt told me to get in line. I didn't get her name, the two times I've seen her, she was the only cashier. Brown hair in a low ponytail, maybe in her 60s, glasses, Caucasian, and most importantly- permanent scowl on her face. If you see her there, either be prepared to get insulted or accused, or maybe consider coming back later once the other nice employees are there. It's a familiar Building the former 99 cents store. I was looking for some things for the bathroom like liquid soap, Shampoos and snacks it had the smaller portions but was enough. I always try to look what they have and stock up. The Service is good and if you have any questions just ask to get the quick answers of what you are looking for. The Store: It is the old 99 Cents store. They remodeled it with fresh paint & new fridge and some new shelves. Super clean & organize! It definitely looks more spacious. The Merchandise: The cheapest price is $1.25. If some of the merchandises are higher prices, they display/tag them. I stopped by this Dollar Tree this morning to get a gift bag. I was going to be in the area and this store was the only one near me in Burbank so I came here. Since I came in the morning, I found parking easily in the small lot this store has. They were not busy when I walked inside, they just had a couple of guest. The frozen or refrigerated items are on the left side of the store right when you walk in. The party supplies are toward the back on the right side of the store. I found the items I want easily and had no issues. I walked around the store to look at what else they have at this location. I saw they sell ice as well and that's closer to the cashier area. read more

My first time coming in here; the parking to get in a one way lot is a little awkward but there is an adjacent lot to park and walk over, which helps. This is a big location! The amount and variety of things you may want or consider, you may want to keep in mind for another shopping trip! I appreciated the storage bins and variety of sizes and colors for the home. Customer service sucks! first, I was walking down the aisle trying to get over to a section and one of the workers just pushed right into me and walked past did not apologize. I apologized, but she did not. Then she opened a register and I had several things I have a cast on and an arm brace and she just threw all my stuff on top of my bag. I asked if she could help me load it she loaded some of it huffed and puffed the entire time and I still had to load half the stuff. read more

This store desperately needs more cashiers. I was at this location earlier this afternoon and they only had 1 register open. I stood in line with 20 other people and the line didn't motor a good 15 minutes. 99 cents only store had better customer service, better stocked shelves as well as more than 1 register open on a Saturday. In fact this store was so empty a few people thought they were going out of business. With the lack of customer service and open register they should be closed. This Dollar Tree is a joke. I ended up leaving my items and take my business elsewhere. read more

I had a terrible experience with Dollar Tree, specifically at Dollar Tree - Victory Blvd. I bought a trash can that did not fit the space I needed. I returned to the store with the item and receipt, expecting a simple return or exchange. Instead, the manager refused to help because the item was purchased at another Dollar Tree location. No solution. No attempt to assist. Just a flat refusal. When I asked for her name so I could file a complaint, she refused to provide it. She told me I did not need it and said to "go ahead and complain to the store." That is unacceptable customer service. A company with multiple locations should stand behind its products across its own stores. Customers should not be punished for shopping at a different branch of the same chain. If you shop here, understand this. Once you buy something, you are stuck with it. Do not expect reasonable help. Do not expect accountability. Horrible, horrible place to shop now, the employees have nasty attitudes, no one wants to help you to check something in the back. They don't even pack your bags anymore. And even at the check out they don't even acknowledge you. No hello no nothing just an attitude. The shelves are dirty. I've complained to cooperate and still No one's gotten back to me, and the parking lot is always empty and Now I know why, and the same thing for another store near by. I will also write a review for that one. There is only one on Magnolia that they actually help you and pack your bags and they r very kind they say hello when you come in. Corporate needs to be more involved do better. The parking lots are empty. I won't go there any more. Maybe there should be Dollar General there instead. Improve your Customer Service! read more

Been to this dollar tree several times, but it ain't like the 99 cent store which was crowded everyday! It isn't as nice as the one in Valencia! They don't carry a lot of things that the 99cent store did! The cashiers are not that friendly and there Christmas items are very few! I guess it's all we got! read more

As soon as I walked in the staff were staring at me hatefully. Gave me dirty looks and scoffed at me to make me feel unwelcome the entire time. Like during checkout they wouldn't acknowledge me even when I was paying. Just openly bigoted and hostile. And they didn't do this to the people I was with, only me. Wasn't like this when it was the 99 Cents only store, not sure what changed. HUGE mean loser vibes. read more
