    Molded oranges.

Molded oranges! I just had to drive all the way back to get $4.99 refunded after buying a 5 lb bag of oranges. I come home to find out that they are all rotten and molded mush. It wasn't exactly visible through the bag. You would think that the employees would check the produce before putting it out on the shelves.

This is a nice grocery outlet with plenty of parking. Prices are great. Employees are nice. It's on the small side so the selection is not that big but for necessities and a few other items, it's great.

This place is great! They do not have everything a conventional supermarket has, but that's the whole point of this place. It's a discount marketplace with low prices. HOWEVER, some items that are on sale expire the same day or within the next few days. They have kitchen appliances and tools along with wine so that's a plus.

    Lovely potted plant!

I love this place! I wish this market was closer to where I live so I could go more frequently. Lots of great deals on natural and organic produce, meats, snacks etc. Some items I've seen bulk at Costco (like organic mango smoothie pouches), GO actually had them for a cheaper per unit price! There are usually great rotating varieties of ice cream treats, beer and candy as well. Fun little plants are in the front of the store and they pair well with the separate mini balloon picks if you're ever in need of getting a gift for someone. Sign up for their emails so you know what their special deals are every week and occasionally there will be a good coupon in there.

I often stop in at Grocery Outlet stores wherever I might happen to be and look through the place to see if there are any nice bargains to take advantage of. I've been to many of their locations and I found this one to be particularly spacious and well kept up. The merchandise here is basically the same as you'll find anywhere else. You will need to be discriminating, though, as everything here is not really a bargain. However, if you know your prices you can usually pick up some good deals.

They will forever be missed and remembered. After my visit to Cafe De Olla on the 17th of this month, I noticed this Dollar Tree adjacent to the restaurant. Walked in and was nicely greeted by their security guard. Employees are very kind, nice and helpful. There were 2 on the floor and wanted to help me instantly. I didn't really know what I was looking for. As I started to browse the aisles, few things caught my eye and I realized that I can make good use of them. Some I needed, and some I liked. So I ended up buying few things. Got a nice, standard size notebook (which I need) for everyday use, a cute small nightlight, a nice vase for flowers. I also needed some yellow color Sharpies that I often use. 2 boxes of matches, 2 coasters with inspirational writings on them, and saw this compact pill cases that can be used for pills, vitamins etc..got 2. Also got a small mug. For all that, I only paid less than $24.00. So convenient. Store is a nice, standard size. It has 2 restrooms, a nice size parking lot, and was very clean and maintained. They have everything from A to Z. All nicely organized and fully stocked! More people need to do reviews on Dollar Trees and be more positive than negative. Thank you all..

The store itself can use a little more organization and additional cashiers on the floor. It seems to be a trend in most dollar tree stores. If you take your time browsing, then yes you are bound to find items. I was able to find foldable cubby organizers and they're actually good. They have a lot of back to school supplies and even room decorating items. Love to splurge at any dollar store honestly.

HOW have I gone this long without reviewing Smarty's!?!?!…read more My daughter and I are Art's biggest fans. Every Thursday (which is when Art gets in his pallets of new inventory), she says to me "Happy Smarty's Day!" You just never know what you are going to find here. We have gotten the following items in the past year or two: a brand new Samsung dishwasher (a model that had only been on the market for five months, new in the box for over $700 off retail price!), a Ninja Creamy ice cream machine, Instant Pot lid that turns it into an air fryer, Dyson and Shark vacuum cleaners for hundreds off list price, deck boxes and hose reels for the backyard, a new microwave, an amazing array of plastic storage bins in all sizes for the garage/storage locker...and that's just off the top of my head! Going to Smarty's is our weekly treasure hunt. More than once, my daughter has bemoaned that she bought something elsewhere only to find it later at Smarty's for a fraction of the price. On the rare occasion that something we bought ended up damaged after we opened the box (which does happen from time to time, given the nature of the business of buying pallets of stuff from Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.), Art has always made good and given us a full refund. I am almost loathe to tell people about this store because I want to keep these amazing, secret deals all to myself, but I also want Art to stay in business forever. Thanks, Art! We'll see you on Thursday! :)

The DISCOUNT PLACE (aka "98"), Whomever it was who coined…read morethe term "Hole in the wall" could've easily been referring to this tiny general merchandise store hidden deep inside an unkempt mini-strip mall in the heart of Scum Valley. Opps sorry, I meant to say Sun Valley.... The store is difficult to spot from the main street, Sunland Blvd, and is completely invisible from Nettleton, the adjoining street. The best way to visit this local gem is via the alley behind the mall which begins off of Nettleton Street. Park in any of the first 5 parking spaces and the nose of your car will be pointing directly at this bodega. As I said, this place is TINY, maybe 300 to 400 square feet of floor space max! Yet, despite their small size somehow they almost always seem to have the item I need on a shelf waiting for me. For example: A few days ago, following a shopping expedition to Target & CVS, I found that I was still "in need" of a few odd items; an extension telephone cable, a female 2 female coupler, some utility candles, and some butane fuel for a camping stove. Believe it or not they had them all and the best part is: I paid only .98 cents each! (ALMOST everything is at that price point here.) I do have one complaint, which cost them a star, they recently began charging customers .10 for carryout bags. Yes, I can hear some of you thinkin: 'So what dude, lots of stores charge for bags in LA cause its' the law. All the stores are doing it, Duh.' It is a fact that "all" stores seem to be suddenly charging this bag-tax but only a specific few are required to do so. Many, like this shop are exempt but want to charge me anyway, which irritates me. Additionally, stores, such as this one, collect the fee and then give you the type of plastic bag that has been banned from use by the same law which establishes the tax! The law states that a store with sales over 1 mil./yr must provide either paper bags or reusable plastic bags (meaning the bag must be able to be used carry something like 20 lbs. for at least 50- 100 x's). IT SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITS plastic single use bags, PERIOD. Obviously, this is a new pet peeve of mine...so if it is not an issue to you, then uh never-mind. The store is open daily from 8 to 8 and seems to be family owned/operated. Due to the imminent opening of a Dollar Tree store less than a quarter of a mile away this business' days may be numbered. So If you find yourself anywhere in the area and are thinkin of going to the .99 Cent Store to get something...GO TO THE DISCOUNT PLACE and help out a neighbor instead. You'll get a Gold Star for the day if you do! Oh, one last thing...the name is almost misleading, the prices on an item by item basis are the same as elsewhere. I have never found any real bargains there, at least not price-wise. Ciao fer now! D
