I shopped at the Stamford Dollar Tree after going to the White Plains location for several years, and I was honestly surprised by the difference. I decided to check out another store hoping for a better selection and a cleaner environment -- and this location delivered. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever I had questions, which gave the store a much better vibe than I usually experience at the White Plains store. "I'm baaack!" said the voice in my head as I walked through their doors for the second time since first finding them in October. I was nearby and ventured back to Family Dollar is search of some sort of eye protection. I had picked up a facemask the other day from a local hardware store but totally forgot to get safety goggles (one can never be too safe especially in these uncharted waters and times, in my opinion). My search was successful as I found a pretty sturdy pair of swimming goggles. They might not be the most low profile nor the most comfortable but they get the job done of creating a seal of which no particles can penetrate. When traveling in a confined public space such a subway car wearing said swimming goggles, some might say I'm going overboard, some might stare (ohh how they stared), some might make eye contact then immediately look away, and others might give you props and comment "That's hella smart bro!" And by might I mean they definitely will do all of those things. To be fair, I have seen crazier crazier 'subway creatures' in-person and on social media and while I was not too self conscious, I was happy that it was not rush hour. I was also happy that the cashier at Family Dollar didn't treat me any different nor question me while I was trying on the goggles with my facemask to see if they both fit when worn together. Now that I think about, I'm sure the site could have warranted a call to a store manager. Another 5-star experience at this Family Dollar store. This is my favorite store. All the other locations don't offer as much. This location stocks items you never thought you'd find at a $1 store. I score a lot of party items, children's items, food pantry items and above all, Toiletries, hair care and cosmetics. I'm here about once a week for my daughter's snacks, hair accessories or bathroom tissues. If you can buy in bulk for less than $1 an item that's great but if you can score a deal then this is your best bet. I love that they're constantly bringing in new merchandise weekly with themes for each month. This month is about luau, mermaids and summer fun. I found some Charmin toilet paper today and Pantene Pro-V's natural line Co Wash pack to sample. This is my headquarters for summer and birthday parties. read more

The Dollar Tree is the perfect spot for when you need something quick and cheap and disposable, which is why I like it so much for party planning or crafting. If you mess something up, it was likely only a $1 and you don't feel as bad. For being a dollar store, it's pretty well-maintained. There are some brand name stuff as well as off-off-brand, but you'll usually find something to suit everyone. There's no shame in shopping here to grab some goods. Give everything a good look over before putting it in your cart, some items are a little banged up. If you don't mind that for what you're purchasing, then take it with you. read more

Dollar Tree, where everything really is a dollar or less. Just ran in here to pick up a few things and to browse as I have not had my fill of the everything's a dollar experience this week. To my surprise I hear someone say, hello stranger....and there was an old manager I use to work with, the world is a small place. After a short chit chat, he asked if I ordered online for the items, nope sure have not. He provided me with a flyer which gives you all the info on ordering and having it delivered to the closest store. This is awesome as I have someone in Florida that I like to send things to and they could just pick it up instead of me shipping. This store is bright and the items seem to be very well placed. My treasures today were a wire garbage basket, clothes pins (yes I hang out my clothes to dry - just trying to be environmentally friendly), three pair of reader glasses. some sort of strange orange mints covered in chocolate (so weird I had to try them) and this really interesting cinnamon scented M&M candle. I have no idea why the red M&M guy was on the candle but it smelled really good. They also had Krispy Kreme candles. At this time they have not fully stocked out the holiday decorations. When you go to a Dollar Tree Store all merchandise is a dollar. Other dollar stores have seem to have a different definition of a dollar because some of their merchandise is more than a dollar, sometimes much more. When I go to a Dollar Tree I don't expect high quality merchandise but some items I find to be a very good for the money. I recently purchased some wine and beer glasses for a dollar each to use outside when I have company. In the event of any breakage they were only a dollar and for a that price they were good quality. By looking at them you couldn't tell if they were bought at Dollar Tree or at a department store. I have also purchased paper plates, plastic utensils, baking pans and the Mylar Balloons are also good quality. It's a great place to get some inexpensive disposable items that doesn't break the bank. The staff is always hard working, accommodating and polite. Pretty impressive for a dollar store. read more

Monday afternoon 12:45pm. I've been here a few times and like any other dollar tree the lines are usually going down the aisle but move pretty quick. This location to me is a hot mess. They don't seem to be restocked much at this time but it may be because of COVID and recently reopening that they may still be getting adjusted. Good luck ever trying to get balloons done here. I've tried around 3 times now and there is never anyone available to do them except once they just didn't have helium. This wouldn't be my go to location but it's local to my job so it's convenient. read more

Everything here is a dollar or less, that's just amazing. How are some items a dollar here? Name brand toothpaste, deodorant, cleaning supplies, etc. Hallmark cards that were $1 or less. My view of life and deals has been forever change because of this location. I didn't have a ton of time to explore the place, but I was able to buy a broom for $1 (before tax of course). Clean bright well-stocked dollar store with all the essentials. Everything in the store is one dollar unlike some other stores with dollar in their name! I got paper and crayons and pens and snackbags and small toys for a gathering, plus they have beach toys in season now. The hand kitchen towels are only $1 and i've seen them for $2 or $3 elsewhere. i find it extremely important to write reviews on here when i have a good experience and this dollar tree did not disappoint. this location was clean and organized. i find that usually when i go to dollar trees many items are on the floor, misplaced, or even broken. however that was not the case here. My husband would not believe me that every single item is $1.00!!!! I love this place! I refuse to go to a 99 cent store because most items are way over 99 cents. The dollar tree has a little bit of everything from greeting cards to food. I usually buy cards, tissue paper, disposable coffee cups, air fresheners and Ramen noodles (6 packs for $1.00!!!). This location is by far the best of all the Dollar Trees The aisles are clean and neat and they have the best candy. Great selection of paper goods and cleaning supplies. Typical Dollar Tree. I love Dollar Tree in general. They have good deals on party supplies, and household items. Sometimes they even have things that suprise you now and then and you really can't beleive it's a dollar. When that happens make sure to stock up because it won't be there tomorrow. I just discovered this Dollar Tree Store recently. I visit it it now almost 1x/week. Every Thursday they get new shipments. They really do have great products such as Holiday Decor, Groceries, School Supplies, Crafts, Toys, Birthday Party Supplies, Balloons, Cards, you name it. If I had a house and needed cleaning products I would totally purchase them from here for $1.00. It's also very clean and always plenty of parking. read more

1) Nice staff- much more helpful & friendly than they need to be. This is a dollar store after all. Store is fairly neat, clean and organized . 2) Parking lot situation : again,folks --why oh why --must you all CRAM into the front of the store to park? There is a fair amount of parking spots in this busy mid-sized lot. Leaving & entering this parking lot is pretty dangerous (making a LEFT out of the lot is near impossible during rush hour -- and on Long Island - rush hour is from 1:35 PM to 10:20 PM!) Ample room for all to park here-- yet the yambags of Garden City/Roslyn have to park their White Lexus SUVs in front of the front door. Walking 3 or 4 yards away is out of the question. This Dollar Tree is in cluster f*ck area of Carle Place/Garden City/. Too many stores, too much shopping, too many people acting like animals. I almost got ran over a few times in this parking lot because they like to ZOOM in because they are in a hurry to get helium balloons for their spoiled brats birthday parties. I SO PITY THE WORKERS when the helium tanks run out! These people get all in their faces and become abusive! Go get your helium from Bloomindales you a**holes. Further more I have no idea why these upper-upper middle class yambags would bother with a dollar store (where every little piece of crap is Made in China and will probably break or malfunction in a few days)?
