Great visit at dollar tree. This location had some makeup I wanted but I got a call and had to rush out. They had the blushes dupe for rare beauty and a face cream with hyorlauranic in it. Friday, May 22, 2026, I came to your store and I young man with a mask on his face with a bad attitude was so unprofessional when all I wanted was to see the total on the register. The ending: He told me to get the fuck out of the store while walking away and never come back or he will call the police. Now let me give you background. This young boy was rushing everyone because he had a line and blamed this line on me a black woman. When I came to the register, I had decided that 2 kids lunchboxes I didn't need and sat them on the rack. I was next in line, he wanted me to hand him those 2 items, because my leg was hurting, I said I will as soon as I reach you. Even though he had a mask on, his eyes said everything. He began to get antsy and moving with anger with the customer in front of me. When I got to him, I needed to step over and give him the 2 boxes I put on the rack and so I did. He snatched them as though I was disrespecting him. His disgust of me traveled through the air. It was clear that this boy was racist with a bad attitude. I'm a 61 year old woman who had my off day this day and I was so upset that he said when I asked to see the total on the machine that I had asked for something personal of his. There were 2 sets of bags that had a red dot on them and I had asked if he could check the prices. He said the prices are the same, I said, what is that, he said I think it is $1.50 I said is it too much to ask for you to check it? He said they are both the same. I said are you sure it is not $1.25 for all I saw was a $1.25 sign, he said no they should have marked it in the isle. He wrang it up and I said that since it was $1.25 I will take the pink one, he huffed and puffed and with anger he said, now I have to void and re-ring the bag because it's a different code. I was like, why are you acting like that. He huffed and puffed again and said the total and since it was clear that he didn't care for my kind, I wanted to see the total and count what I purchased. I don't think that was too much to ask. I asked him twice to put it on the screen and he said, HURRY UP you are holding up my line. I was appalled that he blamed this line on me. So I said that, I said I'm not holding up your line and no I will not rush, common sense says open another register and help these people. I asked him again to put the price on the screen and he screamed it to me in front of all to see, then I got mad and said, why are you talking to me like this? He put the price on the screen and I got my money out and he took it off the screen before I could see the change. WHen he gave me back my change he threw it on the counter and I took it and was about to leave and he said, Get the fuck out and don't come back again and that is when I said: if you would take that stupid mask off to let others see what you look like in this hot environment maybe you could face people like a man. When he told me not to come back that I was band, I said DAMM! I was hot at this point. If my son was here, it would have went different I'm sure. And this is what this letter is all about, to let everyone know that there is a racist boy running the register and obviously usurping his position as a manager when in fact he is just a dollar tree cashier. This is a real dollar store! Everything's a dollar! Browsing through the aisles today, it was amazing to see what was in stock. I noticed Lightning USB cables. I saw glasses, cookware, and party favors. Greeting cards are 2 for a dollar, so just buy 2 to keep the theme going. There is a significant amount of 4th of July inventory right now (April 23, I guess heart and shamrock days are over, Independence is the next big thing). Mr. Coronavirus had his eye on us, so we wore our masks just like the store crew, and noticed that the "bathroom tissue" shelves were empty and the Kleenex was being rationed. We had come in to find our favorite "grabbers," long-handled trigger-action pincers that we use to pick up pine cones around our home. Although they are a bit fragile, the spring tension is light enough that we don't get RSI picking up all the little stuff. And yes! They are a dollar each! We bought 2, so we don't have to drive back to Cottonwood when the first one breaks. read more

I recently moved to Sedona AZ, and this is the closest Dollarstore to us so my family and I drove to cottonwood to buy a brooma nd mop, dust pan and some cleaning supplies for our new place. Its like any other DOLLAR TREE. Its easy to find because it off the main street and easy to see form the street in same parking lost as Chase bank. Regarding Cottonwood, AZ store Manager: Al My story: I interviewed and hired on with Al on Thursday, 10/25/2018. All paperwork was filled out and completed on Friday 10/26/18. I was told that the schedules were made up on Fridays and that Al would call me Saturday or Sunday with my schedule. No call from Al on Saturday or Sunday. I called Al's cell on Monday morning and left a message. No return call. I went into the store and talked to Al about Wednesday of the same week. Said he would call me. No callback from Al. I called again on Saturday 11/3/18 and wow he actually answered. Told me to report to work on Sunday, 11/3/18 from 2pm - 6pm and was also scheduled for 11/7/18 from 10am - 2pm. Had to rush out and buy appropriate clothing. Went to work on 11/4/18. Got my employee number and my badge. Clocked in o n cash register and observed cashiering 2 hours. No hands on training. After the 2 hours of observing I went in to the cash register to begin my cashiering. My badge/employee number would not let me clock into the cashier portion in order to begin to cashier. I was told to do shelving and did so until time to go home. Went to work on 11/7/18. I was able to clock in but not could not log into the register to cashier. I observed cashier for 2 hours and did some go backs while my employee number was looked into. 2 hours into my shift I was able to get onto a register. Yay! I had no one observe me while I got started checking even for a few minutes for hands on training. I was just turned loose in it. I made it through those 2 hours. I was then scheduled to work on 11/12/18 from 4pm - 8pm and again on 11/17/18 from 1pm - 5pm. On 11/12/18 I went in and could not even clock in on the register. After waiting for about an hour 1/2 I was sent home and Al was going to look into it. Keep in mind I was not paid for that hour 1/2 nor did I expect to be because I did not actually work. Al was going to look into it again. On 11/17/18 I was about ready to go to work and I got a call from another associate. She told me Al wanted me to call him on Monday, 11/19/18, and he would explain what was happening with my badge. I asked about the shift I had been scheduled for that day and was told they were over staffed so not to bother to go in. I called Al on 11/19/18, 1st thing in the morning as told to. Left him a message. Again no return call. I went into the store on 11/21/18 to see if I could talk to Al that way. I was told that something had happened to my employee number and I had to re-apply for the job from scratch. Al made an appointment with me for 11/23/18 at 7:30am to begin that process all over again. True to my nature I arrived a little early. The door was lock and I flagged down an associate and told her I had an appointment with Al at 7:30am. She locked the door and informed Al that I was there. I was not let into the store until a few minutes after 8am when the store opened. Al was then in a staff meeting so I shopped around for about an hour. Finally Al came out and told me that he was looking into my employee number with HR and he would call me back that day. Well guess what? He never called me back. That Friday that I had the 7:30am appt., 11/23/18 was their pay day. I had mentioned while talking to Al that I had not been paid by auto deposit for my work on 11/3 and 11/4. He as not concerned with it and told that it takes a while. HUH??? Today is 11/26/18 and I have yet to hear back from Al or be paid and sadly do not expect either. I was so very excited about this job and do not feel like I deserved to be jerked around in such a manner and not to be paid on top of it. There is something very wrong here. I'm not sure what to do now but I will NOT be calling Al again. Now what? read more

My first time here and I say this is the FILTHIEST Dollartree I have EVER seen. There is merchandise everywhere, trash, open boxes to climb over or kick out of the way. I needed a key to the restroom but no one was concerned enough to find it. Even when I asked the "MANAGER" with the very short haircut she just said "Oh well... Just can't get in then." I really felt like doing my business right there on the floor! I will NEVER shop at this store. Ever. read more

The selection of notions is great and you can't beat the price. I have recently moved to this area and was delighted to find my favorite notion chain had a store within 25 miles of my new home. My delight was very short lived as I had the misfortune to be in the store at the same time as an assistant by the name of Kathleen. The name may be spelled incorrectly as she feels she is too important to wear a name tag. I asked her for her name and she may not have given her correct one. The Peter Principal is obvious in Ms. Kathleen's demeanor. I understand she may have been stressed as today seemed to be truck delivery day for the store. She let me and other customers know that we were a nuisance that she had no time for. If she treats everyone the same as we were treated today she won't have to worry about such big deliveries for very long. I asked her about an empty cardboard box. She let me know that her boxes were much too valuable to let go. That was fine, I understand that she has plans for the box. No argument here at all. It is just that there is a polite way to speak to people that she has no knowledge of. Loss of an empty box, no problem. read more

first of all dollar tree really does sell all things for a dollar unlike some other stores using the word "dollar" some times 2 for a dollar as well. they had my favorite chocolate sticks and the women working there early in the morning when i shopped went beyond helpful for me since it was my first time shopping at that location. perfect place to pick up things for a children's birthday party....i even bought things to put in my suitcase to take to my grand kids! i'll certainly be back again! read more
