The ending: He told me to get the fuck out of the store while walking away and never come back or he will call the police. Now let me give you background. This young boy was rushing everyone because he had a line and blamed this line on me a black woman. When I came to the register, I had decided that 2 kids lunchboxes I didn't need and sat them on the rack. I was next in line, he wanted me to hand him those 2 items, because my leg was hurting, I said I will as soon as I reach you. Even though he had a mask on, his eyes said everything. He began to get antsy and moving with anger with the customer in front of me. When I got to him, I needed to step over and give him the 2 boxes I put on the rack and so I did. He snatched them as though I was disrespecting him. His disgust of me traveled through the air. It was clear that this boy was racist with a bad attitude. I'm a 61 year old woman who had my off day this day and I was so upset that he said when I asked to see the total on the machine that I had asked for something personal of his. There were 2 sets of bags that had a red dot on them and I had asked if he could check the prices. He said the prices are the same, I said, what is that, he said I think it is $1.50 I said is it too much to ask for you to check it? He said they are both the same. I said are you sure it is not $1.25 for all I saw was a $1.25 sign, he said no they should have marked it in the isle. He wrang it up and I said that since it was $1.25 I will take the pink one, he huffed and puffed and with anger he said, now I have to void and re-ring the bag because it's a different code. I was like, why are you acting like that. He huffed and puffed again and said the total and since it was clear that he didn't care for my kind, I wanted to see the total and count what I purchased. I don't think that was too much to ask. I asked him twice to put it on the screen and he said, HURRY UP you are holding up my line. I was appalled that he blamed this line on me. So I said that, I said I'm not holding up your line and no I will not rush, common sense says open another register and help these people. I asked him again to put the price on the screen and he screamed it to me in front of all to see, then I got mad and said, why are you talking to me like this? He put the price on the screen and I got my money out and he took it off the screen before I could see the change. WHen he gave me back my change he threw it on the counter and I took it and was about to leave and he said, Get the fuck out and don't come back again and that is when I said: if you would take that stupid mask off to let others see what you look like in this hot environment maybe you could face people like a man. When he told me not to come back that I was band, I said DAMM! I was hot at this point. If my son was here, it would have went different I'm sure. And this is what this letter is all about, to let everyone know that there is a racist boy running the register and obviously usurping his position as a manager when in fact he is just a dollar tree cashier. Upon getting the good news, they had what I needed, I headed over with some friends to make my purchase. I met the manager who was very gracious (she was born in the South I remember). She led me to the item where I quickly decided which one I wanted, as there were various patterns. My friends spread out around the store finding interesting things: from sauces to candy and a few knickknacks. Lots of stuff at good prices. The candy was a super bargain. The sauces were very interesting, two hot sauces I've never seen before and some good ol' Heinz 57 products. We purchased three sauces. And some other stuff. The cashier was also very friendly. In Williams it's the only competition for the Safeway grocery store and I'm glad the locals have the option to go to Dollar General and save some money.

They went further and said they were calling the police on me as they had phone in hands, so I simply went to the Police Station myself, only a few blocks away. I was told by the police they received no such call. These out of control women even tried to intimidate me by saying they had a camera on me. GOOOOOD !!!!!! , now their boss can pull the entire incident up. Unfortunately, I have to be in a Wi-Fi area in order to use my phone like that. And they don't have Wi-Fi. I needed very specific things size wise. And you're not allowed to open packaging but when you pick up a lamp and you lightly shake it and you hear broken glass, but you're not allowed to open up the package and see what exactly broke why bother buying it at half price if you're not gonna be able to use it. This happened repeatedly also I was looking for a specific size bathroom medicine cabinet. Since much of the writing on the boxes didn't have dimensions, and I couldn't open the boxes because it's against the rules. I could find boxes that I think might've had the right sized item inside but I really couldn't take the gamble especially when I can't see if they're scratches or dents or a door ripped off, etc. I think the only thing I will come back here for is tile. If you're doing a craft project and you need a few pieces of tile or you're doing something special to cover a table top and you only need a few feet. This is the place to come for the tile. Unfortunately, the majority of the tile is not labeled and not priced and I hate having to run up to the counter every single time I find something to find out how much it's gonna cost. It's just ridiculous. I found a similar place, not too far away, where the people don't mind if you open the items to look at them and they will even go so far as to take a light fixture and wire it to a test area to show you that it works. The store goes far deeper than the neighboring shops with a giant the back section that runs behind the neighboring businesses. They truly have tons of merchandise. The main problem with the store, for me, is it is a complete mess! You have to be willing to dig through piles of disheveled merchandise to see what they have. My other issue is that the pricing is nothing special on many items; in fact, on my recent visit I was able to find many items that were a little bit more expensive then you would find at other stores, and definately more than Ross. Granted, the selection is much larger and nothing they sell here are "seconds" or "irregulars." But the shopping experience is not enjoyable. You can find some decent prices, but not truly great deals. I'll check back because they do carry a big assortment of seasonal holiday items, and I like unique and uncommon finds. However, if we had as many shopping options here as in Phoenix, I would not bother.
