Honestly this is the best gas station in the city. Like all places it can get very busy. Staff is always trying to do there best . I have no complaints. This place has the worst cared for mens washroom I have ever seen from an otherwise decent looking store when you walk in first thing you notice is the sinks covered in mineral deposits, completely broken and falling apart, your lucky if any of the soap dispensers work. Thanks to whoever place the little bottle of dawn dish soap in there, at least that is something. The senors hardly work so your lucky to get the water going, and there is no towels to dry your hands and the blower things are worthless and hardly work so your stuck walking out drip drying your hands which is not very sanitary at all. read more

Food is good....for a gas station! But seriously, the pizza was pretty good, Bahama mama hot dogs are yummy. Can't beat the fresh ground coffee. Service is fast, and even faster if you use the self check out. I have no complaints. read more

Maverik Adventure's First Stop - High five for Maverik! - Convenience Stores Near Me - Cottonwood, Arizona

We're huge fans of Maverik for their affordable gas prices, clean restrooms, and quality food whenever we are traveling. If we are in the Cottonwood area, we drive to this location before we leave for home. We were just at the Verde Valley Fair and headed directly to this Maverik to use their restrooms and load up on snacks for our drive back to Mesa. Their restrooms were super-clean and the hand washing/hand drying combo at their sinks is amazing to use. The clerks were very friendly and helpful. We decided on two hot dogs with great toppings and two donuts. Everything was delicious and helped us drive at night down the 17 freeway. The one sad thing I saw was a sign which alerted customers to the reason for the store's right-side doors being locked from dark until 4 AM - shoplifting. Definitely recommend this location whether you're just getting into town or heading up to Jerome or heading back down to the Valley or up to Flagstaff. read more

The overnight guy is stealing. I went there at 2am and bought an Arizona Treasure Hunt scratcher ticket. Before he gave it to me, he scratched off a part of the ticket and I watched him grab his phone to check it to see if it was a winner first before he would give it to me! And it must have been because he then put the scratcher off to the side and grabbed a different one to hand to me. So he must have had one of his friends/buy the first one. Unbelievable. read more

Staff's cool, fresh food is fresh, food options and promos are good, and the location is kept clean and well managed. I live on the college campus up the street and I'm here a few times a week. The store is always clean, food's always fresh, and staff is always cool and respectful. Gas prices are competitive and their fuel has never caused me any vehicle issues like some competitors. If you play their point system well you can ultimately get 20%+ off of fresh food. Cheers read more

Maverik Country Stores sign me up! My go-to's in Kentucky are definitely Speedway and Thornton's, but I want Maverik to be my new convenient store/gas station in Kentucky. One visit to their website and you'll see that they advertise themselves as being the adventurer's convenient store. Cool. I'm not going to rave about this store anymore because I came here to write about their restroom sink area(Check my photo). Place your hands under the soap, BOOM! Where to begin... I used to work for this company as a food service worker and I've had nothing but rude coworkers. This is the Maverik Cottonwood, AZ location to be exact. Despite my efforts of trying to be friendly, they all maintain a bitter attitude towards some of their coworkers and customers. I've been hit with the door before and cussed at by one of them on several occasions as well as the kitchen manager bolting out to my car and yelling at my wife and I because she was having a bad day and I was only intending to comfort her for a few minutes. Very rude and narcissistic people who have nothing nice to say to anybody and about anybody including their own daily customers. The manager Tim recently told me to never come back to the store and threatened to call the cops due to a delusional shoplifting accusation. I haven't done that and they are racist, prejudice and they will never consider your well-being or care about you if you ever work for them. They never cared about the circumstances I've had for not showing up to work consistently. I did my best but my life became pretty complicated due to my daughter getting sick in this town time after time that I had to call out and watch her frequently. I even admitted to them that the job isn't working out for me and they don't allow enough flexibility so I will be moving on to find another job. The manager got spiteful about my attendance and just told me that they don't want my business anymore. I'm pretty sure I've gotten sick from their food and from their rotten attitudes towards me and other people anyway. This is the worst place in Cottonwood to shop and buy gas so don't even bother giving them business. read more

I always head for a Maverick if I know there's one on my route. This particular one is a great place to stop on the way to Jerome & Mingus Mtn. Fair priced fuel, nice clean restrooms, instore 'breakfast cookery' as well as awesome doughnuts, hot dog cooker and the usual sandwiches and drinks. read more

All the people that work at our Maverik store are always very helpful. And they have the best chocolate donuts with sprinkles, by the afternoon there were no more chocolate donuts in the bakery corner. The gentleman that rang up our order asked if we found everything, I said that they were out of my favorite chocolate donuts, he said that sometimes they are kept in the freezer. So, our very nice cashier went to check, asking us how many if he found them, my husband said -- two :-D My husband and I didn't know if we could tip the employee -- so I thought I would write a nice review and let everyone know that there are great employees at our Maverik. I don't think you could possibly ask for a better gas station! How can anyone give them less than 5 stars? Have you seen a better gas station? I certainly have not. First of all, it is huge, and each island gets only one pump on each side. This is a big plus, since it means you don't have to maneuver to drive around the guy in front, who is still pumping. The building looks like it was designed to sit in a national park--yes, it is that attractive. I have seen gas stations in national parks, in fact, which get two stars, compared to 5-stars for this Maverik. The washrooms are big, clean, and easy to access; no burrowing behind piles of stored merchandise. The gas prices are excellent. I don't go to gas stations for burritos or lattes, so I cannot comment on their food. (Though I would suggest neither should you, even at a lovely gas station). I can comment, though, that the country store inside looks exceptional: clean, wide aisles, attractive layout. Again, top of the game. read more
