Dollar Tree is my go to out of all the discount stores. Hell, I went to about 5 of them while planning my wedding to get various different types of pumpkin decor. That all being said, this has always been a solid one. I needed glow sticks for an upcoming event, and sure enough there they were. They had a big display of 4th of July themed glow items. The location is a bit smaller than others but the staff is nice and they do have a metered parking lot, so it's not super stressful to find parking. Pay the meter! Even if it is for 10 minutes. The service at the dollar store in Great Neck was wonderful! The manager who was so busy at the cashier was so kind and helpful to me. She told me where to get the party goods. She took the time to do that while she was servicing other customers and she found many balloons for my granddaughter's birthday party. The Dollar Tree Store in Great Neck, New York sells many good items. There is a wonderful cashier, Fran, who is incredibly nice, patient, helpful and efficient. She is often the only cashier and does the work of four cashiers. She was the only cashier at the register during my multiple visits to the store right before Christmas and had long lines of customers, each purchasing many items. I was amazed at how she continued to be patient, nice and efficient--even under a lot of pressure. She is worth her weight in gold. I do hope they hire a few more cashiers to come to her rescue! read more

I generally like the Dollar Tree stores in most locations but I found this one to be better organized. It's also slightly smaller than the other ones further out in Nassau County but still carries pretty much the same variety of goods. Aisles were marked clearly in the overhead signage and there was lots to see in each section. I was surprised by the inventory. Not only were they well stocked for the most part, it was neater than most. I was easily able to browse and take my time in this store. While I didn't ask for help to find anything, I did see a few clerks on the floor vs the cashier so I'm sure it wouldn't have been an issue. Would totally recommend this place for party goods, favors, and gifting accessories (shopping bags, gift boxes, wrapping paper, and cards). They are also great for seasonal items like holiday candy and toys ... in this case, I was looking for fillers like chocolate and treats for my plastic Easter eggs. I was also looking for household cleaning supplies. It does carry some reputable brands which I was pleasantly surprised. I had a good experience at this location. The shelves were well stocked and organized. Although it's a bit out of the way in my usual route but I will stop by whenever I am in the area. I was finally able to find these shoe horns I had been searching for! Dollar Tree isn't known for their food so I don't recommend picking up any meat containing products here. Sometimes you can find Betty Crocker cake mix, cookie mix, brownie mix, or Minute Maid slushies. I enjoy browsing the book and candy aisle. They have a great basket and bin section if you are looking to organize at home. As always they try to keep prices low and pass on the savings. Unfortunately sometimes it means understaffing as the register line can be quite a wait. Have patience and make sure you really want the items you purchase: there is a no refund policy. This location isn't as large as the Levittown one, but still larger than the ones in Queens I have visited. There is some street parking on the outside. read more

Been here several times and it's always been messy, which is a major downside. However, when I recently came back to shop here since it's been a while, I saw that the place looks cleaned up and organized now, even on the end caps too. I even saw they put up a new gift card center in the store too, which is pretty neat. Never saw that before. No more items scattered all over the aisles or blocking them, plus the current management have better attitudes than the previous management, and they seem responsible too, especially when there's mess anywhere. The manager Mike is a joke. He thinks yelling at disabled customers accross the store and telling them to shop elsewhere instead of helping them is a good idea. He told me if an 85 year can do it without help then I should be able to do it too. I complained to corporate. It is unacceptable to treat customers this way. Horibble cashiers, horrendous manager. I bought too much Halloween candy and tried returning just few items next day, came up to my face and yelled "NO RETURNS ON FOOD". "YOU MUST BE REALLY DESPERATE". Then tried to get me out of the store and almost hit me with the cart. By far the WORST store x10 ! Manager seriously needs to be replaced. This is the worst Dollar Tree. It is always dirty & messy. I witnessed a small boy slip on some rice & fall. He was hurt & crying. I let the manager know who came over annoyed and said it's the customer's fault because we drop things & don't tell them to pick it up. A customer then pointed out all the things lying around on the floor which led to a screaming match between the customer & manager. It was the most unprofessional thing I've seen. read more

I'm not sure what's going on with this place. I went there twice in the last 2 months. Both times there are groups of mothers there with their children running around, screaming etc. I'm not sure if they're using this store as a form of entertainment for their children, but it's almost impossible to walk around and browse the store with this influx of kids there. read more

I went to dolllar tree in great neck and this employee with his underwear showing and had a hood on came up in front of my shopping cart blocking me from leaving the isle . He accused me of purposely puttin potato chips on the floor . He said other inappropriate things to me and the manager chimed in and put her two cents in . These employees minus soli are very unprofessional and rude . Pam and michael shoould be fired asap. read more

This is one of the most frustrating stores to visit . There are almost never more than one register open , no matter how long the line is . The only reason I go there for is greeting cards - that's it . Sometimes I may add an item or two but never anything consumable , as their food items look horrific read more

Best dollar tree I've been too! There's selection is huge, filled with things you wouldn't find in other dollars trees. I spent over 100 dollars in there and didn't even realize it. I got things I've never seen anywhere else. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and the service. The cashier was extremely nice. This location is particularly large with a decent variety of products. The store is clean overall and the bathrooms are spotless. The is metered parking right in front of you can park in the private lot in the back. I parked in the front and there was already time left on the meter. They do not allow you to remove the carts from the store so you may have to make more than one trip if you tend to go overboard at stores like these like I do. They have all the typical sections and usual products as well as a few rarer special deals that change based on location to location. It was pretty quiet on a weekday afternoon. No lines, one cashier which was more than sufficient. The cashier was very friendly. I also noticed some other staff and the manager stocking the shelves for Halloween. They have tons of candy and snacks. Look no further. I mostly shop here for household items and they had everything I needed. read more

This is my favorite dollar store. The staff is so accommodating. They inform you of inventory they have in the store. They are always pleasant to speak to. Kaitlyn is one of the best people to talk too. She is clear and understanding. She has great customer rapport. read more

I shop here sometimes, it uses to be my daughter's favorite place to shop until this one incident. She went to this dollar tree one night to shop with her friend, they were picking nail polishes with a full basket of merchandise about to pay, a guy claimed to be the owner came up to her and her friend saying they were making a mass on the shelf and if they kept on doing it, he would throw them outta the store, my daughter felt frustrated and put everything back from the basket back to where she got each merchandises from and walked out! I went back myself and reason with that so call owner, he said he had the recording they were making a mess bla bla bla, I trust my kids, and if they were messing up the shelf like he claimed? They wouldn't have put everything back from where they took from the basket cuz if it was me? I'd just put down that basket full of merchandise on the floor and walk out! This is suppose to be a neighborhood business but if us the neighbors are not welcome? I don't see the point of any of us supporting the business anymore! read more
