absolutely disappointed in the lack of training for their staff. I came in and purchased over $40 worth of items and had $100 bill and the girl didn't know how to make change for it so she refused to give me my items I hope in the future they training is much much better and I maybe will go to a different store, but I'll never be back to this one. If your a worker here and named Jen and tried to call in today October 28, 2022, an older woman employee was trash talking you to all the customers in BOTH lines and 2 fellow employees... saying you were calling in for a fake illness and just didn't want to work tonight. She said you're claiming to be sick, and she's trying to force you to come in anyways. Jen... you need a new job with a boss who's going to RESPECT you as a human. If your sick you have no business coming to work and putting customers at risk and calling in was the right thing to do. I don't understand why these people think it's okay to ignore me when I was standing in a line for over 8 minutes to get balloons, do your job correctly and stop prioritizing customers -- it isn't necessary to go through racism it's almost 2020 get over yourself or quit. I am only giving two stars because the store was very well stopped and always has been every time I have been there. NO other reason. Every single time I've been in this store, the employees have somewhat rude and today the employee was just a jerk. His attitude was terrible and he was just not nice. I had grabbed a large tub bucket type container while I was shopping with the intention of using it as an open cooler for bottles of water at an upcoming event. As I did my shopping, I started putting my items in the bucket. By the time I got up to the register and had a few bottles of Gatorade and a couple cans of tomato juice in it, I realized how flimsy it was and that it wouldn't work for what I needed it for. I told the cashier that I changed my mind and did not need it. As rudely as possible, he said "you're not allowed to use these as shopping carts!!" I explained that I was not, but I realized it was flimsy and need it for something that has a little weight. This man literally rolled his eyes at me!! I continued to be polite to him, but every thank you and nice comment was completely disregarded by him. He was the rudest employee that I have encountered in a very long time and it was definitely not appreciated. Even my two daughter tried to say hi and buy to him and wait. This rating is for kevin the manager, i went in and asked if they had pool noodles in the back (the art school needed them for a project) and between the eye rolls and heavy sighs he tells me its not summer and people annoy him asing about pool noodles and he walks away leaving my child and i standing there. Everytime I come to this location a line of people at one register! 99% of the time a manager or another employee is clearly visible and NEVER comes to help. Always takes so long to get out the door cause never more than one register open. Same faces and same crap customer service. read more

It is a dollar store need one say more. Plenty of things to find for art projects to cleaning supplies and of course seasonal decorations. With any of these chain stores staff is kept busy with restock and returns not to mention the reorganization of merchandise people and their kids can not put back. read more

I can't believe how RUDE the acting manager at the Marysville dollar tree was today. After waiting in line for 10 min to buy ice cream that was already melting from waiting, their pin pad went offline before it could finish my transaction. Ok. No problem.. I use to work retail. It happens. Well after waiting another 5 minutes for the cashier as she called for the manager over the phone, we learn she's outside.(mind you I don't blame anything on the cashier.) I didn't have an issue until the manager came up, and before even asking what was wrong, she says(and I quote) " I'm off." I told her to forget it and left my now melted ice cream at the register. Perhaps you should learn some customer service if you're going to be a manager. read more

i have been shopping at this store for years. never had any problems with the cashiers until now. 3 weeks ago i go do my donald duck shopping 14 bottles each months. plus other products. spending at least close or over a hundred dollars a month. i have always put 1 bottle of donald duck juice on the counter and the cashier always ask or count the bottles. this new cahier with her dam smug attitude tells me. put all the bottles on the counter i need to count them. but with a nasty attitude. i am in my 80s. she has a job because we shop close to our homes. friday i went shopping and bought o.j. pepsi-cola bottles etc. now this same young girl says to me after putting my prouducts that i don't neet to put all the bottles on the counter. etc etc. i got so mad i walked away and left all products onthe counter. maybe 60 or more dollars worth. wass i wrong?? manager just stood there not saying word.. yuba city 1.00 store will get my money.. read more

I've never been a fan of these types of stores, this one in particular, but that's because my ex would spend forever in there, but I really like it for a quick and easy place to grab some cheap knick knacks, and the Italian ices' are so yummy! this store has sum of the simply ting that i might need ...Like birthday & party supply cardz, balloonz, etc...batteries that i need 2 control how much time my son play hiz video gamez b-cuz there not goin 2 last long like the other batteries which iz a good ting ...i like there snack they chipz ,cookiez sun flower seedz , peanutz ,popcorn, granola bars, raisin, banana chipz, everyting U need 2 take 2 ur job or just snack around the house ...they hav frozen food like pizza, breakfast bowl, i thought i seen a steak ..? ice cream pot pie ..ect i alwayz get there oatmeal & pop tartz & there cheese & vegetables cracker, sardine 4 when im on the go ...the hardware section has all ur basic need ... & if ur child has a project & needz paper, color crayon , or marker or construction paper they hav it ... sumtimes i run out of dish washin liquid i'll alwayz get a bottle & keep it under my sink .. they hav a whole selection of kitchen suppies ,fork ,spoonz, pizza cutter , temperature cooker , bottle opener, towelz ,ect ... yes they do have hygiene products ..tooth brush , t paste , mouth wash , lotion , i ting they even hav sockz the store has pretty much ever ting ... I visited tonight to buy some simple cutlery I purchased 4 items went to leave forgot something so I left my items at the checkout already paid for then I came back waited for this scetchy couple to checkout then a nice lady with a cute dog. It was my turn again I purchased the items I forgot and the cashier ask now do you want a bag yes please because prior I declined the bag as I only had 4 items. I returned home to find that the cashier never put my cutlery in the bag that she filled. I called the store told them my story the lady on the phone says she doesn't have any forks on the checkout and she didn't put any away so That's it no come in will get you that me and the cashier had plenty conversation so I'm sure she remembers me but I didn't print my receipt so I guess I'm out my forks I just think they should of checked more into it to have better costumer service no offer to review video nothing to resolve this issue I get it it's only 2 dollars but a little more effort to help my situation is all I ask never again will I not get a receipt even it's only a "dollar"...... read more
