Hands down the absolute best Dollar Tree I've shopped in western suburbs. This was even before the move into the their new, bigger expansive location just doors down. It's a standard Dollar Tree, but here's what sets it apart.. 1. The Staff, starting with the African American woman whom I'm sure is the manager. I've shopped here for years on and off since I moved to the area and I know here face, but I unfortunately don't know her name. If you shop here on the regular, you know exactly of whom I speak. She makes this location the star it is. She is genuine, friendly, down to earth & helpful. She sees a need and she she takes of it. There is never a time that she is not busy doing something! Taking care of customers, opening up a needed register, directing her cashiers to assist customers in some way, stocking, stocking and STOCKING, some more. The manager is an integral part of why this location is always clean, well run and shopped by members of the community and those that pass through. Kudos to her. I've since moved from Naperville, but in my travels I pass through daily and I will go out of my way to shop this location. 2. I probably shouldn't mention this because I don't want everyone ascending on this gem, but this location is stocked and always has something new! I find all kinds of great items here. I go in intending to spend $1-$5 on something very specificand always come out having spent more. This Dollar Tree has a great variety of items. This is a very tidy location with all the benefits of the location by the mall that I am used to. Since we're getting close to the holidays I will mention that Dollar Tree is a great place for seasonal items! Not just gift wrap and party supplies (which are great all year!), but also decorations...and don't forget to watch for items that could be stocking stuffers or gift basket fodder! I called the store after three attempts and was given an attitude about the items left behind once I asked if I could pick them up tomorrow. Issues with an even exchange. The items I wanted to exchange for did not have the right amount listed in front of them, making me look unknowledgable at the register and throwing off an even exhange. The store was nice in very convenient location however the person who worked here on Sunday 6/27/21 at around 9:55AM was unprofessional. She called me up when it was my turn to pay. This is for sure my "go to" dollar store...I can easily walk out of here spending $20, which is about 20 items!!! For starters, they always have a good selection of seasonal stuff...I stock up for the annual Jimmy Buffett concert here every year with Hawaiian decor, also for other holidays like Christmas and St. Patrick's Day swag. Another section I hit up is the party section...you can find things like paper goods in variety of colors, gift bags, glow necklaces, and more in the party section, all for $1 and more reasonable than a party store. They also have greeting cards and helium balloons. Another section I like to visit here are the cleaning products - they aren't name brands but you can get things reasonably priced and the items work just as good. This is the worst Dollar Tree in the area. I went in to buy some items and found the young male manager arguing with a customer. He had shut down the register and told the cashier not to cash the lady out. There was a line of people waiting to check out. She called the police who promptly told him he could check the lady out so she could leave. It was absolutely ridiculous. They never have what you need like coconut water or Apple Cider Vinegar. I have spoken to this "manager" who walks around talking on the phone through blue tooth speakers while working. He does not even try to help you and keeps saying what they don't have. He doesn't even attempt to order it. Just terrible customer service. I go way to Wheaton to Dollar Tree when I live around the corner. read more

I went to this Dollar Tree picking up some things for my work. There was no one on the floor so I went to a cashier to ask where something was and she called the manager out of her office. When she came out I asked her a question and proceeded to give me an answer that was in "retail language" as to where the item may be (it wasn't even there when I asked someone else). When I asked what she meant, she then said, "I'm sorry, I have food poisoning and I might throw up." UM, GO HOME. I had to purchase 70+ poster boards for work, which held up the line quite a bit. The cashier was super nice about it, but the customers behind me were getting antsy, so the manager opened another register and proceeded to announce to everyone that she could only take one customer at a time because she was about to throw up. This leads me to believe that Dollar Tree is not accomodating of employees who are sick or the employees simply do not care enough to go home or at least take a break as to not gross out the entire store. It's one thing to need to come to work sick, but it's another to literally announce that you are going to throw up to the entire store. read more

Went here with my young kid and elderly mother. After searching , We asked an employee where an item was and she informed us of the aisle. After searching for another item for a few minutes , we asked the same employee ,"sorry to bug you but can you tell us where kids books are" and she proceeded to say,"you guys don't look for anything, look up at the signs and it will tell you where things are". The Dollar Tree store at 1255 Ogden Ave in Naperville needs to pay attention to health standards. The employees are all wonderful and their product selection is good. The issue is their filthy and unsanitary bath rooms. They are so filthy and smelly, they lock the doors and refuse to let the public use the bath rooms !!!!! You can smell the stench of the bath rooms just walking by them Do we notify the County Health Department to get these disgusting bath rooms cleaned up and sanitized???? Dollar Trees anywhere are a huge savior whenever you need bags, tissue paper, cards, random trinkets, holiday decorations, arts & crafts, plates, the list goes on and on! I can't remember the amount of times where this place has saved me when putting a gift together and not wanting to spend $5 on a bag from Target or making a huge basket of items that looked like I spent a lot more $ than I did. They have a wonderful glow stick section that I always make a stop at before I head over to a friend's house because who doesn't love glow sticks when friends get together at night? I don't care how old you are- Glowing things are always a hit. I also really enjoy the fact that this store keeps the Holiday decorations updated consistently. I've been going to this Dollar Tree for 3 months. It's a nice walk and I'll go 1-3 times a day. Therefore I know everyone that works there. I knew if I walked I wouldn't be there before they close at 9 so I drove. It was about 8:50 when I got there and as I walked to the door I heard the click of the door locking. The manager saw me, and knows me, and just walked away. Another guy shows up and I told him they won't even open for me. That guy called from another store and they still wouldn't let him in. I was there to ask if I could return a broken glass that my family had bought just earlier that day. The cashier was very polite and called the manager her name was Joanna. She immediately just kept saying if I want a glass I can buy it not fully listening first to my question. And repeated, that I must buy it, and unnecessary amount of times in flustered tone, not answering my question. She is an extremely rude dollar tree employee. And I won't be going again if she is there. The price is great ($1 for absolutely everything) for daily necessities such as toilet paper or kitchen towel. I would not buy utensil here however or anything more than daily necessities. Trash bags, kitchen towels, toilet paper, oven mitts etc. are all fair games and are equal quality to those of higher end stores but just simply cheaper. If you are a student or simply watching out for your budget, I would pay a visit to this place for certain. read more
