They have everything from vintage knick knacks to toys to books to small furniture. And clothes, TONS of clothes, all organized by size, style, season...you name it. They also have a large selection of household items, like dishes, bedding, towels, and small appliances. One thing I really appreciate is that they have dressing rooms so you can try things on! Some larger thrift stores have done completely away with this option, and while I understand why, I appreciate the ones who still have them. The line can get a little long at the counter, so keep that in mind if you're there on a busy day. But if you want a great thrifting experience, and to support a lovely small town business, definitely give Island Thrift a try!

She looked very visibly angry when saying this. I apologized and told her that I genuinely thought this was one of the racks on display in the store and backed off it. I hadn't been here before so I didn't know the layout of the store. She didn't say anything to me after that and hurried off away? I tried to go through the rest of the store but, after that the vibe was just off and I had to leave. Not sure if I will come back. At least not for awhile. Overall the store is very organized and clean. The clothing selection isn't the most stylish but, they can't help want gets donated to them. Would have liked it more if my visit had been better.

The downside was that the rice milk was WAY beyond expired, I didn't realize it until today when I was trying to have some and it tasted funny to me. Personally, I would give these people a C- because it seems to me that they don't check their products often enough to see if they're still good or not. Other than that, the service wasn't too shabby, employees were very polite and all that, it would just be highly appreciated if they checked their products regularly because as a grocery employee myself, it is very critical that they are not selling expired groceries to their customers, ESPECIALLY elderly people and children, because it can make people really sick

Our order isn't even complete and I have to give them 5-stars!…read more After our horrendous experience with the Ashley Furniture store in Silverdale (feel free to read that reward -- buyer BEWARE), hubby and I were driving up to a boat gig in Anacortes and took the "scenic" way around Oak Harbor (meaning, not on Hwy 20). We happened to be stopped at the light by NAS Whidbey and I chanced to look over and said "Hey, Furniture World!" We had recently visited the Furniture World in Bremerton but weren't able to find any living room set that slammed our doors, so I was reluctant to go in when my husband suggested it. Now, I'm SO glad we did. We met Shawn, who was super helpful and gave us the layout of the store and then let us look around. When he came to check on us, I shared with him the debacle we had with Ashley and he asked which set we had been looking at. Fortunately I had taken a picture of it at the time and was able to give him the name... ..and as it turned out, he had the set RIGHT THERE in the showroom. Virtually brand-spanking new! He didn't have the chair or the ottoman there, but was able to find out that there were chairs in the distribution center that could be delivered to the Bremerton store (closer to us) by December 5th, and the ottoman would likely be available sometime around Jan 6-11. And the sofa and loveseat...he offered to let us buy the set right there off the floor! His team meticulously plastic wrapped the furniture and had it ready for us when we came through the next day on our way home. We were able to get one piece in our SUV and the "boys" (his helpers) were able to help my husband load the other piece on the roof! Shawn clearly understands customer service, so much that we would likely consider driving to Oak Harbor again (quite a bit out of our way and a ferry ride to boot) if we are in search of furniture. I have to write this review now, even though we haven't received the chair or ottoman yet. I just KNOW that, if there any delays, Shawn will get in touch with us right away and help make good on our order!

I wish I could remember names of the 2 women that helped me! I recently lost a great portion of…read moreweight and I had no idea what size I was. I always thought the clothes ran a bit small (probably just me now that I think about it lol) so I grabbed the size I thought looked right, which was the smallest I have ever been. It was way too big and I ended up happily crying in the dressing room. Now for why I shared that embarrassing story: I was completely frizzled when I went looking for a smaller size but the woman who helped me was very patient. I was kind of this weird happy-shocked and words just weren't coming out lol she helped me look for smaller sizes and grabbed 2 different sizes in each item. I think I would've just shut down and left if it weren't for her. Huge thank you!
