Couldn't buy from here comfortably..it smells like mushroom & cheese in there someone needs to freshen up that store. The floor was ultra dirty even for a Dollar Tree, almost made me wanna wear plastic coverings. I could what I needed even though it was a bit disorganized, I've seen better Dollar Trees but this was strange for the level of filth and funk. I needed to drive over to the Dollar Tree Store today to buy a few things. I bought Hair Ties, one round hairbrush and a plastic organizer. These prices are only $1.25 each item. This is a great, convenient location. We always include a trip to DollarTree on our weekly grocery/supply runs. The selection is vast and of course, great value. This is the place to go for household essentials, including Lysol wipes. You can't beat DollarTree's prices for many products. The best part of our visits is the excellent service provided by Antonio. He is always positive, enthusiastic, and very helpful. I am honestly in disbelief. Long story short. The "closing manager" for no apparent reason abruptly shouted " We are closing in 5 minutes" while pounding on the check out looking directly at my fiancé and I while we were shopping. Shortly after a gentleman walked in greeted by the two staff working rudely refusing service due to the store being closed (which they were not), overall a very unpleasant, unprofessional, and hostile experience. read more

I don't know why I don't shop here more often because even though everything is a dollar they have some quality items. I think this is way better than the 99 cent store even though its smaller and not as popular. I'm just really impressed with the Dollar Tree because the store is clean and there isn't anyone at the front of the store asking for money. The store is kind of tucked away in a corner of a shopping center near the library and the police station. The parking lot isn't so bad but it's not big like the 99 cent store. I didn't see many employees but the ones that I did see they were working and not on their cell phone texting. I like the Dollar Tree for what it is and will continue to shop here when I need a little something. read more

Dollar Tree stores are so convenient and cheap! I needed a quick gift bag and tissue paper, and I knew this would be the perfect place to go. Glad this location was on my way to the birthday party! I went straight to the gift bags and they had a very large selection of designs and sizes! Awesome! It was well organized, although some stuff was on the floor. But I found the perfect gift bag for the gift I had. Now on to tissue paper. Sprinkled with glitter or pastels? Hmmmm, I went with the solid pastels and off I went to the cash register. It was a small line, 2 guests ahead of me. They were served fast and the cashier was very cordial. Thanks for the fast transaction sir and thank you for a speedy check-out service. The place as a whole could tidy up a bit. It definitely is tidier than most Dollar Tree stores I've shopped at. read more

Dollar Tree 3861 Mission Ave, Oceanside Store #4988 This store has the worst manager I have ever encountered. His customer service is appalling!! I brought in a return; the checker took my return and was not pleasant about it. I went to pick up an item to exchange for it. The store manager over herd me talking to a lady I knew who was in line in front of me who also had a return, regarding refunds and their customer service that day on returning an item was not very nice. I did not say it loud so anyone else could hear but the manger was standing close to us. The manager became VERY upset and in a very loud voice in front of all the customers in line, "our refund policy is on the bottom of the receipt, it is not our own policy it's the company's policy." I understood that as I have read the receipt. The lady in front of me walked up with her item and the manager would not listen to her as item was broken. The manager just told her it was not their fault and no refund would be given. He never gave her a chance to talk, it seemed he was making a big deal out of what I said and made sure I could hear him. I stepped up to the register with my exchange, my refund item was a taxable item so I exchanged it for a greeting card, I apologized to the cashier that I did not know the cards did not go up to $1.25 so he had to call for a refund. The manager then stated loudly in front of other customers that I was unhappy with their service and need to be taken care of. I was quite embarrassed and did not feel that was needed. Then the manger followed me out of the store and reprimanded in front of the store for saying bad things about his employee as the employee was handicapped and I should not be talking about him that way and he couldn't believe I would do that. He reprimanded even as I walked away to my car so everyone could hear him. I can't believe this happened. In 51 years in retail customer service, I would have been fired for this kind of customer service. I was not upset, I just wanted away from this man. They should allow negative star ratings. I would give this place and its employee a negative 50 stars Bought some lemon candies here today. When I opened the bag in the box, they were stuck together and BROWN. I brought it back to show them so that they can take them off their shelf. The old guy that works there said there was nothing wrong with them and refused to remove them from the shelf and with a total attitude about it!! Seriously???? I said lemon candies shouldn't be brown. They are obviously bad. He says I'm ASSUMING that they ARENT supposed to be brown. For REAL?!?!? Lemon candies are supposed to be BROWN. What a joke. Seriously. They clearly don't care if they get anyone sick just to make a buck. Wow! Everything is a Dollar! My first visit, and will not be my last, I was Amazed at the values abound!!!! Lots of great deals on Gift paper, bags, ribbon, etc. All $! I picked up cleaning supplies, some manilla envelopes, plastic containers, wrapping paper, foil, paper towels, napkins, etc. So my big total at the check out, drum roll was $17.00 Oh and I got one of those big Tin Turkey Pans $1 , at the market they are usually $ 4-5 dollars.... Ended up coming out with nothing. Great selection of items minus gift bows because that's what I came in for initially. Their gift bows suck. I do like how they have a pretty good selection of refrigerated and frozen foods however, being a dollar store. As everyone already knows, dollar tree sells things for a buck, everything is a dollar. So that is no surprise. However, this location is the BEST location around. The manager is absolutely amazing. We always have great conversations and he always welcomes me with a smile. He orders the best things and makes sure everything is always in stock. He pays close attention to what is popular and makes sure his store never goes without it. I've noticed that this store carries things that other stores do not (like the cute mason jar cups I just adore) I seriously will never go to any other location. Ever. Great store! I have been to a lot of Dollar Tree's across America (one of only two places I can find Rip Its) and was impressed by this new location. It's very clean, bright and super organization (with signs over each section of the rows). As always, I love going to the DT and coming away with random stuff, like glow in the dark wands, jumping beans and dancing solar flowers. read more

This store is awesome. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They also have a great stock of items. I can find almost everything I ever need here. And I always feel so welcome. They take the time to help even on the phone. I was looking for tablecloth clamps and didn't want to make the trip if they didn't have them (because I was just there yesterday haha) and they went out of their way to find out for me. I wish I could give zero stars to this place, more specifically to the staff that stopped me when I was leaving and accused me of STEALING, embarrassing me in front of everyone inside the store. I went in Friday afternoon, after work, around 5:20pm and was in the store for no more than 5 minutes because I was looking for a specific item. Since I didnt find what I was looking for I left. When I was by the door, an older male staff (about 40-50) stopped me and asked me if he could help me with something, I replied no thanks, I didn't find what I was looking for. He asked me if I always went into a store without buying anything. I replied yes, if I don't find what I was looking for. Then he proceeded by saying that if he looked at his cameras, would he find me ducking something into my purse, because he said he saw me putting something into my purse. I was so confused, SO EMBARRASSED. I responded that he could go ahead and check, that he could call the police, since they were so close, to come and check my purse if he wanted. He said, "no its okay." Then why did he stop me in the first place if he was so sure! I told him that I could go into any store I wanted and leave if I didn't find something I wanted to buy. He replied that this was his store, that he was the OWNER, and that he didn't have to let in anybody he didn't want. THE OWNER. Now, I cannot be sure if he was the owner, but if he is, he is the worst type of owner, absolutely no customer service! I have emailed Dollar Tree's corporate offices about my experience. I do not wish any person to be treated this way, so I write this review to warn you all. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS DOLLAR TREE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ACCUSED OF STEALING JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T BUY ANYTHING. read more
