Who doesn't shop at Bath and Body Works?! They always have amazing deals, which makes it affordable and easy to stay loyal! They have awesome scents like Champagne Toast which is my favorite! I frequently take advantage of the deals to purchase gifts for my staff! This last visit I had my online cart in the app loaded up for the $9.99 3 wick candle deal and somehow there was an error so when I got to the store after work Monday to pick it up, I was informed the deal ended the day before and my purchase didn't go through. I was bummed and said "oh man, the app still shows it, what could have happened?" The very nice worker told me sometimes the app doesn't refresh. I was totally cool with it and said " Well damn, I guess ill have to wait for the next sale- thanks for your help" She asked me if that was all I was coming in for and I told her I had planned to get 3 as a special gift for staff but that I just can't afford 3 at regular price and thanked her for her help. The worker then told me she would honor the price due to the app not working properly! I was so surprised and appreciative! Such excellent customer service! There's a sale today and tomorrow (according to an employee) for mists, so instead of paying $20, it only costs around $5. There are plenty of testers and a bunch of scents. I choose the gingham gorgeous because it contains pink strawberries, peach nectar, and peony blooms. If you go to Hollister and AE nearby, they don't have as much of a variety and are of course pricier. I'm not a huge fan of B&BW, but one of my former coworkers said she uses one of their products, and it smelled like expensive perfume, so I'm always on the mission to find the next best pink fragrance. read more

I came in on June 16th and was pleasantly surprised at how organized and beautifully everything was displayed considering it was the first day of the semi annual sale. All of the workers were extremely kind and two even went above and beyond to search the entire store for the last bottle of my favorite soap! My only minor complaint would be that the music playing in the store was a bit loud and overstimulating, but besides that it was a great experience! read more

Me and my wife went in today to look around at the holiday stuff and to find a candle we both love, Gingham Gorgeous. We asked some of the employees and found out it was sold out. Bummer. We got another candle and went shopping. Turns out we forgot to get something and came back when we did, one of the girls, Hailey helped us out and found one last candle of Gingham Gorgeous. After waiting in the line for minutes, she let me stand there even longer after I got to the counter while she finished bagging another online order. And took her sweet time doing it with absolutely no sense of urgency to help customers. I'M IN THE STORE IN FRONT OF HER BUT SHE MADE ME WAIT WHILE SHE PACKED AN ORDER FOR SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT THERE! Wait on who is there, then go back to doing your task. Really not that hard to understand. Far from brain surgery, just common sense. Rudest employee, no greeting, no thank you and her appearance was dirty and unprofessional. I was going to buy some other things, but couldn't wait to get out of there after that experience! My wife ordered lotions online for store pickup. When we got to the store an associate at the entrance greeted us and asked if we needed help. I said we were making a pickup order. She directed me to the to the back to get help. She would contact someone to help us. We got the back and there was a cashier in front of her register not helping anyone. I let her know were picking up an order. Without hesitation she said, "you'll need to stand in line, and they'll help you", pointing to the cashiers. There were 2 cashiers helping customers. There were about 6 customers in line. I was surprised we were told to stand in line when we ordered online to avoid having to stand in line to check out. I was slightly flustered because she didn't offer to help us. Another associate walked up to us and asked if were picking up an order. I said, "Yes"! She said, "I can help you with that"! As we followed her back to where the original cashier was standing, I said, "She told us to get in line to be helped". There was no response other that what name the order was under. After that, she looked up our order and found the bag, handed it to my wife, thanked us and went on about her business. I was a bit perturbed, but didn't want call anyone out for fear of being made a TikTok star by calling them out on the poor customer service we received, while someone recorded me on their phone. Needless to say, next time I will quietly ask why we need to stand in the check out line if we're only picking up. If there is a next time. I might just order on line and have it delivered to our home address. read more

Their website is misleading. I don't think I will EVER buy anything from them online ever again. Learned my lesson. Second time here this month. I wish I could remember everyone's name that helped me. The only person I remember is Kimberly, but all the staff were equally helpful. The staff handled the weekend rush well. They maintained their smiles and composure during this very busy Saturday afternoon. I came in to take advantage of the $2.50 soaps and last week for the $3.50 lotions. The display tables were neat and clean and the aisles in between were spacious. Always the best associates working here! Kat the manager knows her fragrances & all her staff. Whenever I need help they always answer all my questions, even when I don't remember the name of retired fragrances or when they will be coming back. The store is always clean and bright, always smells amazing, of course. This location is actually in a mall and it's in a super convenient spot. It's right next to the elevator on the second floor & it's right next to my other two favorite stores in malls, Pink & Victoria secret. Also there is order pick up at this location which is amazing! Whenever I'm in a rush or my fiancé needs to pick up stuff for me but doesn't want to get stuck in the mall or dealing with traffic he just goes right in and they get his order in less than 1 minute! Always awesome with helping too. When there is a coupon on the app they will always tell me, like 20% or $10 off. Super awesome location! Love them! read more

This B&BW was wonderful! I've been in here a few times but I especially noticed the wonderful atmosphere and service during National Candle Day. I walked in the store around 6:50am (i'm an early riser) and they had opened at 6am for candle day. I wasn't greeted until I was already walking through the store for like 10 minutes (probably the only downside). There wasn't a lot of people in here at the time BUT it did start to get packed come 7:30-8am. The store was really organized and the ladies working there were constantly putting out more candles and products, making sure there was a constant flow and enough in stock for their customers! I was really content with my visit. I am 8 months pregnant and the cashier was SO sweet. She saw I had been carrying about 13 candles and handing me the bag she goes "are you sure you don't need help out? I will make it my mission to find someone for you! you don't need to be carrying this around, it's heavy!" (but of course, i'm stubborn and independent and said I was find but told her thank you, anyways). This store has to keep up the good customer service because a LOT of places are lacking nowadays! read more

The other day, I came here and saw the scented nightlights for my daughters. I got them each one, one in butterfly and one in turtles (NOTE: not all of them light up, so double check). I was also able to get some scented fragrances to plug it in with. However, when I got home, I realized that the butterfly doesn't light up, so I went back the next day to exchange it, and there was a deal for the plug-in fragrance so the cashier gave me a deal and I got 2 more fragrances for a fraction of the price. Amie is a vivacious, sweet, authentic employee who enticed me into the store after hours while a friend and I were walking. Ended up buying more than I thought but left lighter in wallet but also lighter in spirit. She is a true gem. If my business was local I'd snap her up! I love coming into this store, of course when there are great deals and coupons to use. But, every time I've come into this location, even when crowded I'm always greeted. The employees are quick to suggest other similar scents that may interest me. They've often ran merchandise checks in the back for me without hesitation. They have also made a courtesy call to let me know a scent I was waiting for came in. The only down fall.... is the check out line, it's long and slow, during sales and holidays. I decided to come shop here as my cologne had run out and not remembering where I had bought it last, I went to Walmart only to find everything locked up in a case. Not exactly conducive to making a sale and guess what? I didn't buy anything there! Shout out to Stephen for helping me with my trip to Bath & Body Works. The store had the usual buy some and get some more sale and I had Stephen explain that to me a couple times carefully since I was unusually thick headed about it. LOL I then had Stephen explain the difference between body lotion and body creme since they aren't stuff I use very often and never in a scented form. Stephen patiently explained the different and was happy to help me with my shopping decisions, so I greatly appreciated that. He also let me know about the Bath & Body Works app so I could realize an additional discount which is certainly nice! Lastly I remember why I've come to Bath & Body Works before; the prices aren't outrageous, the products are accessible to test, and the employees are pleasant and welcoming. Only one thing stopped this from being a 5 star review and that was in making a CC purchase, it took 5 times until the machine accepted it. I visited this store in the Carlsbad mall looking for a birthday gift. The store is packed with merchandise and they have plenty of samples so you can try any of their lotions, body spray, soaps etc. The employees seemed friendly and asked if I needed assistance. I found a 3 wick peach candle on sale, so I chose that. There was only one register open and it took a while to get to the front. A good shopping trip and I would go back. read more

This location is weird, and what I mean by that is the workers don't seem to know what they're doing. Their online inventory is not accurate, you can't go based off their "Availability" because they won't have the product for pick-up. I've placed multiple orders for same day and both were cancelled when it showed they had them in stock??.. Ironically, after calling the store around 6pm to check on an order I placed at 12:30pm, Jessica told me, and as I quote said "it can take 24 to 48 hours to complete pickup orders" lol... No it doesn't. Anyone who has two brain cells can check their website that clearly states it takes no more than 4 hours to fulfill, unless you order online AFTER the store is closed or NEAR closing that it could take a day to fulfill. Also based on my past experiences it has never taken longer than an hour to get my order for same day pickup.. Especially for 1 item... Who is training these people? because I certainly have to believe this wasn't their manager I spoke with. As soon as I got off the phone with Jessica they ended up canceling my order due to it "not being in stock", just get your shit together bath & body works. Update your real online availability for people ordering pickup or get some new people who know how to do their jobs? Is it really that hard working there? I come to B&BW for the anti-bac stuff. Service is a hit and miss. No one greeted me upon entering and typically there's an employee up front roaming around. No biggie, but I like how they normally tell you the current promos. Came in to buy some stocking stuffers and needed refills for hand sanitizers for the car. The current promo is 6 for $20 and then I had a coupon for if you spend $30, you get $10 off. NICE deal!!! There were only 2 cashiers and the wait time was somewhat long.. It's the holidays and it's expected to be busy; HOWEVER, let's get a quick TAT (turnaround time). It's cool to converse with the customers for a more personal experience, but do it QUICKLY people!!! read more

As most of us do, I love the B&BW products, and would love them even more IF THE SALES STAFF WOULD LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!! I know its their job to upsell you. I know they work on commission and therefore their annoying sales tactics are not their fault, so we should not punish them for working as directed. But their business/sales formula is flawed because its always a miserable experience to step into B&BW stores, and I realized, when in preparation for my next visit, I was already scheming up ways to get the staff to let me be. Here's what happened: I was looking at "beautiful day" which is my favorite fragrance. One woman came up behind me and asked, "Whatcha looking at?" Already knowing what's going on, I said, "Um... Stuff." To which she replied, "STUFF?!?" and giggled. After telling me about the sales of the day, which are pretty much the same every time, she tries to sell me a fragrance that is similar to Beautiful Day ("hello beautiful"), and when I'm not completely sold, she then shows me at least six more scents, all of which I don't like at all. Finally, she leaves me alone, but comes back to tell me that her shift is over and another salesperson will be here to bug me, as if she is a server ending her shift at a restauant. This new person also notices that I'm looking at Beautiful Day and ALSO tries to sell me Hello Beautiful. Super frustrating. I ended up walking out with Beautiful Day body wash and lotion along with my free third item, Japanese Cherry Blossom lotion... Which is what I would have gotten anyways if the staff would have been there or not. --- I feel like I should mention that this has ALWAYS been my experience, since the last time I re-up'ed, a staff member tried to sell me a purse, that was several hundred dollars, before I could even take two full steps into the store. Again this is not the staff's fault, as I've worked on commission in the past and know first-hand what that pressure is like. But the company as a whole needs to understand that this creates an off putting atmosphere. Malls in general are failing because of the uncomfortable atmosphere that desperate store clerks create. I will not be returning and will order online from here on out. Hope y'all understand. read more

Super cute right now- as I'm writing this during the new "aloha Hawaii" marketing period, where all their products and in store decorations are Hawaii themed. The store is my go to spot for all things hand sanitizer and lotion, because you can't beat the price. This location is especially clean, and has very friendly staff- though I can't honestly remember an experience in any location with a poor staff interaction. Today I was being helped by Katrina. She is very good with product knowledge, and very aware of the current promotions and sales going on. Was a big help in letting us know what else the store had to offer, other than my go to items. ALL of your employees did a FANTASTIC job keeping us informed on how they were running the show with this COVID stuff. I did not hear one complaint or grumpiness the whole time. Today I went in for the buy 2 get 2 free candle sale (with a 10 off 30 coupon!). I was greeted by the most pleasant sales associates I have encountered ( I have been to Bath and Body Works stores all over Southern California). Tymicka greeted myself and a few other ladies with a beautiful smile! After informing the other women of the sale, she made her way to me and asked me my opinion about some of the candles. It feels good to have a sales associate take the time to show hospitality at a store. Not only was she helpful with helping me find a candle, she made sure that everyone was satisfied in the store. She rang up my order fast and efficiently! Bath and Body Works is lucky to have her work for them. If she is not a full time employee, you MUST make her one.
