Dollar Tree - Cards 2/$1 and $1 solar lights - Discount Store Near Me - Oldsmar, Florida

I was in the Dollar Tree located at 3148 Tampa Rd., Oldsmar to pick up a few cards for birthdays and whatnot. They have the best selection and the best prices for any type of occasion needed when it comes to greeting cards. This store also have a huge selection of groceries, unlike the Dollar Tree on McMullen Booth Rd & SR 590 next to Publix because Publix won't allow the Dollar Tree to sell groceries because they don't want the competition which I think is ridiculous. This Dollar Tree had employees working fast and hard stocking the shelves. The store is popular because it is basically a full grocery store and stays pretty busy! There was only one cashier working and she was an elderly women named Rosemarie. The line was pretty long and by the time I got to the register Rosemarie turned the switch on her "closed" light and she yelled out "I have been here since 8:00 this morning and I'm taking my break!" she allowed me to pay for my cards and than she closed her station to take her break and told the customers to go to the other cashier that opened her station. Needless to say the line of customers behind me were not happy and made a few comments. Rosemarie has worked at this Dollar Tree for years and she is one feisty, tough women! She does a great job at the cash register and it shows that she has had her fair share of customer abuse. The Dollar Tree attracts a variety of people and a few sketchy looking ones that had me look over my shoulder. Overall a good place to shop for inexpensive products and a few quality products as well. My advice, bring your patience with you because the line at the cash register can be long and be kind to Rosemarie! :) read more

If you need some very cheap supplies for a dollar, this place doesn't deliver. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets and other essentials in life are all more than a dollar. False advertising but life is still good. read more

In terms of Dollar Tree stores, this one is slightly above average. I'd give it a 3.445 if possible, which rounds down to a 3.0. The store is well-organized and stocked MOST of the time. There have been occasions where it has looked like a train wreck in here, but it's not normal. If you wanna see a freaking mess of a store, head over to the Dollar Tree on Hanley & Waters. Day and night between that one and Oldsmar. My main complaint with Dollar Tree, and this is with regards to the chain IN GENERAL, is that they no longer carry the shave gel that I like. I've been buying this stuff in bulk for 10 years, and then about 6 months ago, poof! Gone. No mas. All they have now is some wack-ass shaving cream. I can't get this bald head as smooth as a baby's ass with old school lathering shaving cream. Nothing works like that water-based shave gel that they used to sell. I don't care that some child labor sweatshop in China was making it; bring it back. 'Murica! read more

I swear, when I walk into Target and find them at $3.59 for 90 of them, I get angry. $1.00 for 70 is a decent price. I also picked up a pack of cheap combs and 2 sets of ear phones. Whatever...my granddaughter and I always hit this place for illicit movie snacks before we go to AMC Woodlands! They just charge too much at AMC! We've also picked up a cheap boogie board and oddities on our way to the beach. Ya just never know what you will find at a low low price! read more

I do love the deals that the dollar tree offers. Today was my first time at this location and this store is very dirty. There is a strong aroma in this store as well, (if your child needs to go potty.... take my advice and find another store for that situation). This location had similar products and deals as every other dollar tree. I especially like the 50 cent greeting cards and frozen soft pretzel bites! But this particular location was not a very sanitary one. If your just stopping in to grab a card quickly or grab cheap candy before a movie it will do. If your coming with kids who like to touch everything, you might want to skip this stop. read more

Keep your receipts! This store does not allow even exchanges without a receipt. I've been to many other Dollar Trees where this was not the case. Luckily, I do not live near this particular location, it was just on my way to do other shopping. So be sure to keep your receipts, or try a different location. read more

Asked the manager who seemed unapproachable if they had any boxes for ornaments. His response was a curt NO. I found that odd so I asked an employee whose name is Regina. She walked me around the store as we chatted and she found a box full of what I was looking for. She was very friendly and helpful. If it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't go back to that store. This location is organized and clean, pulling its weight as one of the only chain stores in this shopping plaza. I found a lot of little odds and ends that the other stores don't have, which was kind of neat. There were still pretty long lines, though. And could you please take those tests out of the shelves where the registers are? It is just way too awkward. Gum...batteries...pregnancy test. (Hint: One of these doesn't belong) read more

Been here a couple of times, not bad on prices but yu get what yu pay for. Good price on baby powder, toothpaste, cards. Can't really go wrong with those items but I did find most of their candy was out of date, no thaks! read more

Good and solid dollar store... and yes everything is a dollar. You can find some good deals here if you look for them. Also you can buy stuff for the movies located in the same plaza saving you some money. Staff is actually helpful which is rare at a dollar store and the store is well maintained. read more
