There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. This new dollar store replaces most of the zellars, and so you can only imagine how big this place is! Frick, you can get everything from your art supplies, to home hardware to birth control supplies. The variety here is a little light, only the usual assortment with very little big lot restickered one off goods. The parking lot is huge but everyone tends to only park at the south lot not east. I took a chance with Price Wars (awesome name by the way) and sure enough they had exactly what I was looking for... And they were only a dollar each! They also had other out-dated analog goodies such as VHS tapes and blank audio cassettes! I managed to also grab something I was looking for lately which is blank CD-Rs -- something that still costs WAY too much at most electronic shops, but I managed to grab a package of 20 for only six dollars! I just hope my purchases are functional. The majority of these items had a nice layer of dust on them. In fact, quite a ridiculous amount of dust to be honest. You're definitely going to want to wash your hands if you're handling the Price War merchandise. Hard to believe this place sells underwear!

The stocks they carries a little bit different from Dollarama as they probably sourced their merchandise from different suppliers.. That do make browsing the store a little more interesting. However, most of the stocks are "MORE" than $1... around $1.25... Can I blame it on the exchange rate and the cost of transportation from down under?
