The great thing is the prices are equal or much better than WalMart. The WalMart in Shallotte, NC is always packed with some "interesting" characters. The staff was helpful without being intrusive and the prices on everything was VERY reasonable. Additionally, the items I bought today were on sale and they took the amount that was discounted and allowed me to pick a local charity which they donated that amount to. They've even received a plaque from the BCSO for their charitable work. Shopping for cute items and doing good for charities at the same time - it's a win/win.

They're typically $1 or less. Here, they're $4 each. That may not seem like a big deal to some people, but that 400% mark-up was on everything throughout the store, including plenty of things you can find at other stores for a fraction of the price (dishes, glasses, furniture, art, etc). I don't understand why so many resale stores try charging retail prices on used stuff that you can't return.

We appreciated the UV protection it offered as well as our main reason for the purchase was to provide our young daughter some shade. We took it to the beach hours after purchasing only to realize that it was impossible to assemble, even with multiple people assisting, and that the wind appeared to be too much for the poles and sand bags, to handle. We attempted to take it back and were refused a refund by the employee(s) then the owner as they stayed it has "already been on the beach." My husband questioned "how are were supposed to know that it didn't work like we were led to believe had we not taken it to the beach?" but the manager stood firm. Now here we are at the beach, 171 dollars later with a tent we can't utilize. I would expect more from a self proclaimed family owned business. Would not recommend!
