Whether it is the discovery or finding a project. Top Notch Thrift Store will be a fun adventure. It is nice to know that this Store also uses the proceeds to fund programs to the Senior Center here in town!! Thanks Top Notch Thrift Store!

The store is situated in a former shopping center…read more While it's not as large as a Goodwill or Salvation Army or Value Village, the store is larger than most single-charity thrift stores. Selection includes a wide range of merchandise such as housewares, crafts, books, furniture, sporting goods, and separate areas for men's, women's, teen's and children's clothing. Clothing is an especially good value when they run "basket sales" for $5. For approximately the first 15 years or so the Top Notch Thrift Store was overseen by woman with retail management experience from the retail store Nordstrom (American luxury department store chain headquartered in Seattle, Washington). Now for the most recent few years, approximately 2022 and on, the store has gone through about one manager a year. Much of the original staff left as well, which is too bad as they were friendly. Some of the new staff are great, some less so. The bargains are always there though. Note: it's also across the street from a coffee and chocolate shop.

Both of our sandwiches were huge and enough for lunch the next day also! We also had to try the lemon gelato but we ate it so quickly no pictures! Service at the sandwich counter and from counter were so friendly and made great suggestions. Will definitely be back!

When you walk in, the check-out counter is to the left featuring local baked goods, gelato, etc. There is some seating to the right with some really cool sliced log tables, and the restroom is in the corner of that particular area. The mid-section has shelves of specialty and convenience items, with stairs leading to a second floor which we did not check out. On either side are coolers, produce, and other grocery staples. The deli sits in the back. We loved the overall look of the place--rustic with a bit of an industrial touch, totally our style. The deli menu board behind the counter lists breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and pizza. They also serve coffee. We weren't in the mood for a deli sandwich but did see they have been awarded best sandwich for quite a few years which is cool! When we saw the pizza prices, we did a double take. A 12-inch cheese pizza starts at $19.89 and goes up to $25.89 for a supreme. Gluten-free adds $4+, and focaccia crust adds $6+. While we appreciate good sourdough (and they use Kalama Sourdough, which has a great local story), the prices felt a bit steep for a 12-inch pizza. So we decided to eat elsewhere. That said, this was still a really cool stop. The shop has character, local charm, and a great aesthetic. We'd definitely come back for coffee or to browse again next time we're in the area. We are even open to trying the pizza and seeing if it worth the price.

But once you're in, you'll find a surprisingly big space! They're located inside a warehouse, and the back loading dock is for deliveries. The ground floor is the food bank. For the thrift store, go up the external flight of stairs to the lime green door. Inside, the store is pretty big. Books and jewelry are up front, and in mid-November, they had A LOT of Xmas decorations: wreaths, ornaments, gift bags and cards, glassware and dishes. The majority of the store is housewares, and they even have a furniture section in the middle of the floor. The book selection is also pretty decent. Clothing is less well represented. There's one side room with men's and women's clothing, and it's not a big selection. Kids' clothing is on the main floor, and there seems to be more of that than adults' clothing. Most of the clothes had flat prices by the type of item, and were pretty reasonably priced. They also had a special where you could fill a bag with clothes for $6, so it seems like they offer additional sales and discounts. Prices seemed a bit high on the housewares and kitchen appliances for what they were. But the clothes and books were fairly priced, so it may just depend on what you're looking for. Overall, not someplace I'd go out of my way for, but if you find yourself in Woodland and want to do some thrifting, the Action Center is here for you!

I had been paying top dollar for a 6oz container of Blueberries at my local supermarket paying anywhere between $2.99, $3.99 & $4.99 for a one serving container. I posted a message on Yelp Talk and was turned on to Frozen Blueberries at Costco. At Costco I found a 5 pound bag of frozen blueberries from Columbia Fruits for $13.99. I took them home and placed the entire contents into a Rubbermaid Tupperware bowl and froze them for my morning smoothies. I opened the Tupperware container this morning and got a look at these things in the day light. These blueberries were the size of marbles and so blue they were purple. I washed them off a bit and noticed it was draining a lot of the stuff I probably want in my body and not going down the drain. Columbia Fruits produce also grows & sells Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries & of course my favorite Blueberries. I figured what the heck why not shoot them off an email and ask about the washing that they do before packaging. I emailed them and got a response back within minutes. I am super careful as to what I put in my body. I checked the pollution & groundwater reports for Woodland, WA which surpassed the EPA standards by at least double in every category. This Farm has earned my business and is saving me tons of cash.

The brand we had been buying was to say the least becoming a very poor quality product. Buying the Columbia Mango chunks was unbelievable.
