I've been looking at this place for a while and finally decided to go on a side quest! When I walked in I was immediately in awe with how many books there were and how the sections were neatly labelled. The owner was so kind and I felt so welcomed when I walked in. The pricing is pretty reasonable, not as great as some used book stores I've been to, but I understand you gotta pay that overhead! Updated - It's been several years since my last visit and review of this story.....boy has it changed!!! Heather has been the owner of Literary Leftovers for three years now....and her store looks awesome!!! Clean, organized, a small sitting area, coffee and hot chocolate for sale.....this is a great way to spend an afternoon!! The books are very reasonably priced, and you can see she takes care what she brings in....I saw no books that were damaged or overly worn. Lastly, if you bring in books to donate the store, she offers a discount on whatever you purchase that day! A nice win-win! read more

I love a good used bookstore and this one is amazing. My husband and I stopped by and I could have stayed for hours. The decor is cozy, the selection is wonderful and the kitty makes the place for me. I will definitely be back. read more

I have always loved this book store. I was a little dissapointed though when recently I went in to donate some of my books and they took a handful of them and gave the rest back. If people are taking their time and fuel to come to your store and help your business, you'd think they wouldn't be that choosy. I'll probably just bring my books to goodwill from now on. Other than that, a great place to browse around in, just a little overpriced. read more

i donated books about a year or two ago here. i was told then that i had an $8 credit, which i used to get another book. just went in today to do the same thing. the young lady at the counter found the need to treat me as if im stupid. i came in, said i wanted to exchange them and she hits me with "we don't do that here" and "well it's been this way for about 8yrs" .i absolutely wouldn't have had an issue if she didn't glare at me like i had three heads. she was so unnecessary rude and condescending. horrible way to treat your customers. again i wouldn't have had an issue, its been a year since ive been so i wouldn't be surprised if i got that mixed up. but to speak to your customer who is donating to you like they're idoits... not a very good business practice. i'm insanely disappointed and insulted by your employees unprofessional behavior. everyone else is wonderful. but you truly don't know when "the rude one" is gonna be there. i wouldn't recommend this store to my worst enemy read more

This shop is operated by some young, well-read and intelligent ladies. The store is very well organized and welcoming. They offer a 20% discount on that visit's purchases if you bring a book in to donate. I checked the store out once and then have visited quite a dew times with my wife, each time, purchasing more books than I had intended. It's a great place to browse and shop. read more

The staff is always so welcoming and kind! There is a great selection of all genres! The prices are always great deals! I make sure to go grab a book or two from them at least once a month. Also I absolutely love going in and seeing the super sweet cat Lucy! I even grabbed a sticker last time I was in. I think everyone should check out this bookstore at least once! (: read more

This is my happy place. I've always enjoyed this friendly bookstore . The people who work there are super nice. They support the local community , are respectful, have the store clean & organized -- with plenty of choices, and good prices. Kids have a place to hang out as well as teens. They also sell occasionally locally made crafts -- so fun! I loved the handmade bookmarks by a local teen, and others. I can't say enough good about it. They are also happy to take book donations . This is the cutest book store in the area, the murals inside the store and on the outside windows are just darling! The service and connection from the owner to each costumer was truly so genuine you feel at home in this store. The prices for books are such a good deal I left with a stack of books for my kids for only a few bucks. They also have a little area for kids to draw and play with toys my daughter loved it! read more

Been going to this place for 20+ years, the new management has been amazing, keeping the small town bookstore feel, but brightening it up a lot! I particularly like the attention to local authors and the small display of handcraft items that mostly serve to enhance a good reading session (soaps/bathbombs for tub reading and mugs for tea, candles). The trade for credit policy is decent for this economy, and the proprietress is quick to respond to Facebook message inquiries! read more

I'm trying to support local businesses, but there are two things here that are troublesome. One, the staff are sort of wearing "masks." They are in the shape of bandanas but really only cover their nose, it is wide open below the nose. Please, wear more effective masks. Also, I have been there twice looking for history books on Latin America and Mexico ...there have been none. I also struggle to find Latino authors of any kind in there. Since most of the community you probably get books from are white I'll go ahead and believe the lack of diversity in your book selection is at best an oversight. Still, there is room to step it up in terms of COVID mask wearing and diversity in your selection. read more

Shop owner is low pressure, treats me politely, available to help find a book for you if you ask him, and i love that. The shop is stacked floor to ceiling with books. its narrow, small, crowded. I have always found the book i came in for. The prices are knocked down quite a bit. Buying a book here doesnt make me feel like im splurging. A very quiet cool bookstore. read more

Hands down my absolute favorite book store. I love coming and wasting days here just looking through all the stuff she has! She is very sweet and will always answer my Facebook messages with questions about books she has in stock or things like that. She once held a book for me for three days before I got around to getting over there and was so awesome about it! The trade in deals are great and I've gotten some of my favorite books ever from giving her my old ones. I have been patronizing this shop since 2003 and I absolutely love it! The owner is so helpful, and the staff are always willing to lend a hand or grab a book off a high shelf for you to look at. There are so many titles at this shop, and the owner is almost always able to tell you off the top of his head if he has a title in stock or not, and where it can be found in the shop. A gem of a used book store, and I am always amazed that the owner seems to know or have read every book in the place. It is also great that they will take used books and give you store credit. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars, is that they don't always have MY kind of books, which is probably not any fault of the proprietors, but more of a reflection on what is being brought in used by community - lots of novels. read more
