It's a nice little shop with plenty of sweets available. I got a pound of vanilla and chocolate as well as 4 molasses taffy's. The fudge is fudge. Sweet and soft, it hit the spot. The molasses taffy's are covered in dark chocolate and were very affordable at 2.25 each. Maybe that's the going rate in OCMD vs OCNJ prices. It's a tradition I started with my grandmother many many years ago. They have always been my favorite Easter candy, and I look forward to them every spring. However, this year I'm disappointed in them. As I mentioned, I purchased a pound of the eggs. The inside does not look like they usually do. It is a deeper colored brown; and unfortunately, they do not taste the same. In addition, they are much smaller than the ones I have bought in years past. I am really disappointed. I guess the only light in this is that I will save money this spring inasmuch as I will not be purchasing my usual five pounds throughout the season. Nor will I recommend them as I have in the past. It's a shame. As I said, I've been purchasing these pastel malted milk eggs every year for over 30 years. Perhaps they were last year's malted milk eggs. I can't even eat them; they are that bad.
