Went to ocean city for a music festival which was basically at the boardwalk/beach and during this festival it's hard not to run into Dolle's over and over during the long weekend and my friend and I went in the first day as she was craving a caramel apple and she loved it so much we went back twice and we also wanted to come back at the end of the weekend to get fudge and or course their salt water taffy which they are known for Made my own pound box of various flavors and all taste good! Dolle's has been making candy across from the Ocean City pier since 1910! You walk into a delicious treats--like popcorn, fudge, brittles, caramels, chocolates, and there famous salt water taffy--which are still manufactured right there where it all began. You can pick your own salt water taffy in kiss shape, stick shape, and sugar free. It was like walking into a candy store, when you were a child. We were welcomed right when we walked in, amazing customer service. Store was so organized, you can't walk out without buying something so fresh and yummy for your sweet tooth. We went to this store because we had a coupon for a free box of Carmel corn, but also brought 2 Carmel apples ( special was buy 1 get 1 free) so delicious, there fudge was so creamy. So we was watching Man v Food and saw Kasey at this candy shop. They was showing how the salt water Taffy was being made. After hearing him saying it was the best taffy he ever had I decided to look them up and check out there online store. They were having a great sale of buying 3 pounds of taffy and getting 1 free. So I placed an order of the assortment box and then ordered a pound of the peanut butter filled taffy. Oh my goodness what a treat this was. Shipping and handling was only 10 bucks for 5 lbs of taffy. If you love Salt water Taffy then you need to check this place out. They have a great selection of candies and popcorn as well. They are especially known for their salt water taffy. They have so many different flavors. I bought 4 containers of their salt water taffy (buy 3 containers, get 1 free container). Amazing not just for the delicious candy and taffy, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have chocolate covered taffy, truffles, caramel popcorn, made fresh right there in the store. The smell as you open the door draws you in like a candy hook. There is so much packed into this little store, you don't want to leave. We love Dolle's every time we come to the sea shore! The popcorn is fantastic and the salt water taffy is to die for! The only issue we had this time was with the staff. When purchasing our taffy inside, one of the workers was incredibly rude and would not acknowledge us at all! We ended up having to check out with the other worker on the opposite side of the store. Always love coming to Dolles when we visit the beach. This store in particular had lots of options to choose from. Delicious! We sampled the fudge. We ended up buying both flavors we sampled. The cleopatra and the peanut butter fudge. They both are delightful! And the taffy! We for some of it. I love this place - we hit it every trip to OC! They have the best saltwater taffy in OC. You can even pick a mix so you avoid the ones you don't like! This little shop on the south end of the Boardwalk is packed tight with one narrow path through the store, but the treats are sooooo yummy and worth it!! I recommend the taffy, of course, and also the fresh marshmallows dipped in caramel (which you can then get dipped in chocolate... Or dipped in chocolate then covered in M&Ms!!! You can mix and match for $18/lb. The service is very friendly and let me be a pain in the ass, I asked for one of every kind of chocolate and they obliged. We love this place and stop by every time we are in OC. The workers are super sweet and patient with my kids while they pick out an assortment of gummies. Other candy stores only let the kids pick up 3 types of gummies at Dolles, they allow the kids to chose as many different kinds as they would like. They are always patient as my 2 kids pick out their gummies. In addition they offer free taffy samples. The workers are so kind and sweet. This business is a diamond in the rough on the boardwalk. Update: Dolle's reached out to me and explained that they had had issues with popcorn containers leaking air over the summer which caused popcorn to become stale and apologized for my experience. They then went above and beyond what I would ever have expected from a business and mailed me (I live several states away) a very generous container of popcorn now that the container issue has been resolved and it was DELICIOUS! I can honestly say that every single product of theirs that my family and I have tasted (taffy, caramels, chocolates, and popcorn) has been fantastic and their customer service is truly remarkable. read more

I shared my concerns with the young woman behind the counter and she had me taste the fudge before purchasing. It was delicious and very fresh!! The caramel popcorn was delicious! Perfect crunch! The staff was so wonderful and patient while my mother tried almost every flavor of fudge. They even went above and beyond and cut the fudge we bought into pieces for us.
