I decided to head to Vegas for my bachelorette so I booked a stylist for my night out. My appointment was for 7pm. At 7:10 nobody had showed. I called Nicole and she did not answer. I sent a email and 10 more minutes went by with no response. I called Nicole from a different phone and she finally answered and was confused as to where the stylist was. The stylist finally showed after 40 minutes of waiting but she was worth the wait. I have never had anyone do my makeup with such detail. I was beyond pleased with the results! I had a great experience a few weeks ago getting my hair done in my hotel room. I lost my stylist's card, but she moved to Vegas from Dubai in case you want to ask for her! OK, so why was it a good experience? The most important reason is that my hair looked good! Also, the stylist was on time, which was important so I could make a reservation. The stylist was polite and professional. She followed directions (for the most part... I'll admit that I wanted a little less curled hair but it looked so good, I let that go and didn't insist she change anything at the end). She did check in with me a few times if I liked what she was doing. Also, I did my own make-up and she very nicely worked with me so that I could do it while she did my hair. I have thick dark hair, in case that makes a difference (I know thin hair has its own challenges). I booked my service about a month in advance and just let them know my room number when I arrived. Stephanie showed up right on time and got right to business all the while making fast friends with me and everyone that was crowded in my room to cheer us on for our vow renewal. She asked if I had any photos of styles that I was looking for and after I showed her, she nailed it. She also did my makeup and as I don't usually wear much makeup it was a bit of a shock when I saw myself but exactly as she predicted, it turned out incredible especially in the photos. She was so efficient and asked my opinion (and my friends and familys) every step of the way. When booking they were very responsive, this helped a lot, since I am not from Vegas and was a bit nervous about hiring someone I was not familiar with. I had a destination wedding in Vegas and I chose Dollheads for our glam squad and we could not have been more impressed with their professionalism, quality of service, responsiveness and value. Loved this service! It is so convenient; they come to your hotel room! She arrived on time and had all of her own tools and accessories. We worked in the bathroom and even thou it was a little cramped for space, it felt like VIP service. She did a wonderful job with straightening and styling my very curly, thick hair. It was for my wedding- obviously an important day. I was flying my stylist in from San Diego, but she was not going to be able to do the straightening as well as the up do in time due to flight delays. It was the first weekend in March and the weather was windy and wet-unusual for San Diego and Las Vegas. Since, I was worried my stylist was not going to be able make it in time. Dollheads had me looking great in no time. When my own stylist got to the room, we only had to do a few extra touches. Absolutely amazing service and execution! Two wonderful ladies from Dollheads came to my friends suite to do wedding hair and makeup. I did a blowout with extension clip ins and was so happy with the results! I've always been wary about using extensions, but bought some for the occasion (they charge an extra $25 to add them in and style them but it's worth it!). Never knew my hair could look so full! She produced EXACTLY what I asked for. EXACTLY. She curled my entire head, and pulled all of the fun colored pieces out on top, so they had amazing pop. For a place that specialized in Bridal, I was very surprised when the stylist showed up at my hotel room not even know I was a bride getting her up-do for her wedding day! My bridesmaid and I were only given a one hour time frame for the both of our up do's. I showed the stylist exactly what I wanted & when it was done it looked nothing like the pic. I was devastated and cried multiple times on my wedding day because I did not look the way I wanted to on my special day. Also, I must add that the stylist was talking bad about me to my bridesmaid every time I walked out of the room because I did not like the way she did my hair. Probably they are great at blowouts and make-up. I wouldn't know. We were supposed to have our service at 5, but nobody showed. After trying the main number a few times and leaving a message, finally at 5:30 we decided to cut our losses and do our own hair. I'm pretty good at doing my own hair, so no big deal. It wasn't going to ruin our night. At 5:45 the stylist finally showed up, and apparently her previous client had gone way over time. OK. I understand that stuff comes up, and when you tell you clients that they can tack on anything they want service-wise, there's certainly a chance that timing will get bumped around. What I really don't understand is the total lack of communication that night. They had a cell phone number and a room number, so what is the excuse for not picking up a phone and letting us know what to expect? Or why not tell the previous client that no, they couldn't do whatever additional service because they were scheduled back to back with other folks? Like I said, I was fine handling my own hair. I just wish that I had known further in advance so I could have done something more special hair-wise myself.
