I booked a blowout for my friend and I at 5:45pm and my friend was seen at 6:30pm and I was seen at 7pm. There was no explanation as to why there was a long wait (just that there was a wait). They also didn't offer to discount the service or comp a drink or anything. There was another customer going off on them for the long wait (our wait was longer- but her screaming did get her seen so maybe we should've tried that). Because I booked for 2 people at the same time I assumed we would have our services in tandem or the very least sit next to each other, but by the time I started my friend was finishing up. During my hair wash, I was getting splashed with water. The temperature also went from super cold to warm. No towel was wrapped around my shoulders to prevent the splash back. The blowout was fine- they did use a lot of product though. read more

It is amazing that there is a Dry Bar essentially in the Planet Hollywood hotel, it is in the Miracle Mile Shops. I was able to make a same day, within the hour appointment on Thursday. It was F1 weekend and luckily they didn't seem to busy yet. I got there 5 minutes before my appointment, was told I could go over to the bar to get a drink. I asked the bartender for just a water, thinking it would just be a glass of water, nope, it was a $6 small Figi bottle of water. My appointment started 5 minutes late, no biggie. I met my stylist, I already knew I wanted the Mai Tai style blowout so we went straight back to shampoo and conditioner. The stylist did an amazing job, I have long hair and she styled it so quickly. I asked her to hairspray the heck out of it, which she did, but their hair spray hold doesn't feel very strong, I went and bought some hairspray after I left and went over my hair again. For a Mai Tai Blowout, it took 40 minutes and cost $59 before tip. All of the front counter employees were polite, but it felt like that faux politeness, smiles that don't reach their eyes. I did some hardcore research on blowout services in Vegas as I'm very picky with who touches my hair and ended up circling back to Drybar because they accept walk ins and were near the Horseshoe. I walked in around 9:20 and was able to be seen around 9:45am. I loved how my cosmo curls came out. I knew I wanted to get some sort of beauty thing done in Vegas and am glad I came across Drybar! Since my hair doesn't usually hold curls when I do it, I kindly let her know and she put hairspray in it. Welp, the curls held up! And it could've lasted even longer but I knew the moment my hair reached Hawaii's humidity the oil and frizz would return. I think I want to make it a tradition and get my hair done early on in my trip cause ya girls hair does not get oily in Vegas! I might even consider a membership since we have on in Kaka'ako, HI. I was disappointed with our experience at this salon, particularly with how we were treated at the front desk by Rakierra. Instead of helping us sort out what seemed to be a simple miscommunication, we were repeatedly told we were at the wrong location, with no real effort made to assist us. We were in town on a business trip there didn't seem to be any urgency or willingness to accommodate us and therefore we ran behind on time. The stylist who worked on my hair was kind, but she seemed unsure about how to pin it back. Ugh, I so miss the Dry Bar when they were just a few years old and they trained their stylists so well. Each and every time I used to go to any Dry Bar in any state (I travel a lot) my hair came out perfectly. My hair is very long and thick and it responds so well to certain shampoos. But use the wrong product and it will not get the same results. They had many bottles of On The Rocks charcoal shampoo for sale. So no reason for them not to be able to use it when I requested it, or for me to think it wasn't available. When I asked for this shampoo my stylist ran to the receptionist and came back to the chair and took me back to shampoo my hair. She didn't tell me it wasn't available. And guess what! I waked out of the Dry Bar with below average hair. Not the with the fabulous Dry Bar Bounce. I thought the reason for the disappointing blowout was because my stylist decided half way through that it was a good idea to straighten my hair with a straightener instead of blow drying the back first and then smoothing it with a straightener. Because it always needs to be blown out first and then straightened with a straightener to look good and last. But when we left the salon my daughter told me they were out of the shampoo I requested. She knew this because she requested it too and was told this by her stylist who had to use a different shampoo on her. It would have been nice for my stylist who was in cahoots with the receptionist not to mislead me and make me think that she was using the shampoo I specifically asked for. I could have discussed with her a better one to use had I been given given that courtesy. So, like to San Diego locations that have deteriorated tremendously over the years, this location now deserves no more than a two out of five as well. read more

The products she used were not too heavy, not too light, I had a great bounce and curl and it looked great throughout the rest of the weekend! Made my appt online. Got my confirmation email. Received a Covid survey by email. Answered it. Received a check in email. Answered it when I arrived to the location. They respond to acknowledge by text to say they will text again when they are ready for your apply. I also received an email acknowledging they received my check in. Communication up until this point was fine. I showed up to my appointment 9 minutes early. They don't allow you to wait inside due to Covid so you just have to awkwardly wait outside. This is fine if they keep their appointments. But when they expect you to just stand there for one freaking hour with no explanation, no warning, no apology...that's just unacceptable BS. Who does that?? It's not like they didn't see me. They just chose to not speak to me. They finally texted and emailed me at 12:42-a full hour after my scheduled appointment time--to let me know they were finally ready for me. Note: I am on vacation and this location is out of my way but the fashion show mall location is closed so I got my husband to drop me off before he started a poker tournament. I gave up waiting for my appointment after 30 minutes and decided to walk all the way back to the Wynn. From leaving the hotel for my appointment that never happened to my return, I wasted two hours of my time. If someone (maybe the girl who was busy fixing the business cards and polishing the windows) would have come out and said they were running behind and asked if I could go shopping or kill time until 12:45, I would have been understanding and cooperative. But they treated me like I was not important enough to deserve an explanation. I should just stand there and wait patiently until they are good and ready. Hers started 35 minutes late. Because it was so delayed, she did not have time to do a wash and blow out as planned - or we would have been late to our dinner reservation. She asked the stylist just to do a dry style to save time. When I went to pay for us, the receptionist asked about my experience. While I was happy with my hair, I mentioned I was disappointed in my friend's experience. It was a milestone birthday and her appointment was rushed and not as it should have been. I was told they "wouldn't be charging us the reduction fee for downgrading to a dry style." I was shocked they would even consider applying this fee given they started the appointment so late. I understand running 10-15 minutes behind, but 35 minutes is unacceptable. At no point did anyone apologize for the delay and I was given a hard time for bringing this up. read more

I was recommended by a friend to try out this location. Booked my appointment at 5:15pm the to get my service for a 8pm reservation. Was not seen until 6:10pm, left the dry bar around 7:30pm. While the type of traffic in Vegas, I made it to my dinner late. That's the only down fall in to my experience. There was 3 of us waiting, but 2 clients left after waiting more than 30 minutes. I love Drybar and have been to many locations. I hadn't experience anything like this before. I walked into the salon with two friends and was greeted with frowns. No "welcome to Drybar" the mgr literally said "I just need the names". I think she was even training new team members. No water or beverages offered. Then my stylist took me in the back- no scrub, no massage. Barley a wash. But she did speak to another stylist about a dead baby. Lovely. I proceeded to head to the chair where she hit me over the head many times with the dryer. Nothing that hurt but not comfortable. I stayed quiet because I wasn't comfortable. My 4th friend walked in for her appt so I turned and said hello. My stylist then said "you need to stop moving". Overall my blow out was nicely done but the experience was not what I am use to. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK: DryBar will allow their employees to RUIN your hair and accept ZERO financial responsibility for the damages. On the afternoon of July 27th, I booked a blowout at your Las Vegas Miracle Mile location for an event I had been looking forward to for months. I walked in with beautiful blonde hair and a full head of extensions. What I left with was horrific. ERLINDA washed my hair & asked if I wanted her to use purple shampoo. I immediately said no, it will turn my hair purple! We had an entire conversation about it. I notice she is taking unusually long to wash my hair and she says she is putting a special treatment on it. When I finally get up she told me my hair was a little purple! I couldn't understand why it would be and when I look in the mirror, I see my hair is not a little purple, it is PURPLE!!! After specifically telling her NOT to use purple shampoo, she went ahead and did it anyway. Obviously, the "special treatment" was her attempting to fix her mistake that never should have happened. We went back to the bowl to try to get it out where she must have started applying more conditioner for some reason, and then proceeded to slide FIVE of my four day old hair extensions out. She attempted to blame my hairstylist that I've been going to and getting extensions from for years! I have had extensions for eight years and not once has more than one extension fallen out. When she realized the purple was not coming out, she told me she was getting another stylist and walked away, without so much as an apology. I then spent the next hour and fifteen minutes with my head in the sink with DISH SOAP on my hair while a few stylists attempted to get the purple out. While they were able to get some of it out, I was still left with purple streaks on my now dry as bone hair from the extensive process they had to use. I left the salon with severe neck pain from having my head in the sink for over an hour and purple streaks. What was supposed to be a fun afternoon ended up ruining my entire day and now weekend. I had been looking forward to this trip since I planned it in January and now my entire weekend was ruined thanks to your employee who chose not to listen to her customer. I still keep having flashbacks of the two things you do not want to hear while in the salon right before an event, "Your hair is purple..." and "All of your extensions are falling out." Now I have had to remove my hair extensions as they were damaged beyond repair, not only in color but in length. The extensive process they were put through in an attempt to remove the purple caused the ends of the hair to break off. I have had to lay out hundreds of dollars on top of the $500 extensions that I've lost to fix the color and condition of my REAL HAIR. In total, this has come to almost $1,200 out of my pocket due to DryBar's careless employee's negligence. After weeks of dealing with their customer relations and insurance company regarding compensation for my ruined hair, I have been told my entire claim is being denied and DryBar is taking ZERO responsibility for their employee's sheer negligence. They are trying to hide behind their "extensions policy" which states they will "handle with care," but my hair was handled with CARELESSNESS. I did not sign a waiver relinquishing my rights and allowing Erlinda to make decisions on my behalf that I knew would ruin my hair. They told me to contact the manufacturer of the purple shampoo to discuss my damage! In what world does that make any sense? I knew the damage it would cause and that is why I told their employee NOT to use it! If I tell the waiter at a restaurant I am dining at that I'm allergic to Heinz ketchup and he hides Heinz ketchup in my food, would Heinz be at fault!? I am disgusted with this business! Big thumbs up to DryBar for reporting and having my original review removed! Let's see if this one stays up! And bravo to Yelp for removing my photos from DryBar's photo gallery! I felt bad because she kept trying to have a conversation with me, but the music blasting is so loud, you can't even hear the person next to you. I understand the "party" vibe of this location with a DJ, bar, etc but maybe they can lower the music a notch? I ordered the daily special drink for $7, called Allie's fave. The bar server came over and my stylist told him it was my birthday when he took my order. He wished me a happy birthday but I didn't get anything special - no free drink, birthday shot, anything. I always allot a certain amount of money to get my hair styled when I'm on vacation. It's just too stressful to try to tame my hair while I'm supposed to be enjoying myself. So I already knew that I wanted to find a Drybar, because they only do blowouts! I was just hoping there would be an open time slot, and... there was! Perfect for me! From start to finish, everyone I came in contact with was professional, friendly, and welcoming...even when you could tell I was looking a little out of place. Although my service was good, their false advertising is the reason for this review. I got an email two days ago saying that if you book a blowout on the 19th you would receive a free ticket to Pitch Perfect. How cool of an offer is that?! So I went ahead and booked my appointment for this drybar location. The blowout itself was great and the stylist was very fun to chat with, however at checkout there was no mention of the Pitch Perfect ticket. I left and called Drybar Customer Service number. I reached a guy who told me I was supposed to get my ticket at the salon. He said he was going to put me on hold and contact the salon to figure out what happened. He shortly came back to tell me the salon wasn't answering but he would keep trying to reach them. I informed him that the deal was just for the day so I wanted it to be resolved right away. His solution was to forward my request to customer relations (I'm assuming their corporate department) so that they were aware of the entire situation and that I would hear from them in order to get my movie ticket. He also stated that the salon has to get back to him within a few minutes as it's their company policy and that he would call me right after. Well what do you know...never heard from him again! No clue whether he forwarded my information to their customer relations as they did not get back to me nor did he. The lack of customer service and false advertising on this matter is very frustrating. I have been a loyal Drybar Membership holder for a very long time and this is not acceptable service. read more

Edit- I ended up getting the $20 charge taken off my card thankfully. Original review- The actual hairstyling was great, but I gave it a 2 star for its management and customer service. I had an appointment for a blow out under my legal name, and I arrived early to ensure I could get started on time. When I checked in at the front desk, they couldn't find my appointment so they made a new appointment using my English name. I showed them the email confirmation with the appointment set under my legal name. I didn't think too much of it since I was getting my hair done and getting in at the right time. I had my hair done and it was great so I was just going to brush it off as my appointment getting lost into the aether. The next morning, I see my credit card is charged a $20 no show fee right next to my $49 charge for a blowout. I called the customer service line and the rep said that since the new appointment was made under my English name and not my legal name, she can't do anything about it from her end right now. A team has to investigate the matter and get back to me in 24-48 hrs. I don't blame the customer service rep for the bad service. It's a mess and at this point, I've already made peace with losing $20, but I most definitely would not return read more

I came in and my extensions were completely dreaded and a mess, and her and another member of the drybar team spent almost an hour getting it completely out with zero complaints. And THEN Dianna gave me the most amazing, bouncy, blowout. Thank you SO much. I could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back my next time in vegas! I will never go to this location again and neither should you. I've debated for over a week on whether I should contact the owner but in the end giving a review is the only way to be heard. I won't get into detail but I paid for a service and was treated HORRIBLY. I have told several people my experience and all of them told me that I should have just stood up and walked out. In the end, I think I was just more shocked that what happened, actually happened. I have been going to Drybar's for years. I know that the result of my experience is not the brand but the employees that they hire. If an owner or manager is willing to hire such a racist and hateful person than that is not a place I am willing to spend my hard earned money. I come to Las Vegas every two months. The Drybar at The Miracle Mile Shops across from the Bellagio is my "go to" place for blow-outs. The manager, Hunter is there and has full command of the scheduling. My appointments are on time and and every blow-out I have had has been excellent. I always receive a compliment from someone after my hair is blown out from this Drybar location. If you are in Las Vegas this is the Drybar to come to!! I don't like to write poor reviews but, here we are. The lady up front was about the only positive experience we had. I set up a wash, blow-dry, and scalp massage for my moms birthday. She had been feeling anxious about aging and we were headed out for a night of celebrating her by going to a show and dinner. I had hoped she would leave the Drybar looking and most importantly FEELING fabulous as the drybar is something she's always wanted to try. That did not happen. She left in literal tears. When I saw her, there was NO way the team member who did it and let her leave like that thought it looked good. When my mom mentioned, I don't think this is like the style I picked, they offered to fix it but to no avail. We got no refund or anything and my mom left on her birthday quote, "feeling ugly and old." We ended up rewashing her hair and being late to her own birthday event.
