Julio was scheduled to braid my husbands hair, (i was told whoever was helping us knew how to braid) well he didnt and just kind of twisted the hair, i dont know but this made the morning of my wedding a thousand times more stressful because i had to take him back to the room and separate what he did through like 10 pounds of fuckin hair spray just to make the line straight. Idk where dude went to school but this is insane and unacceptable. When i looked in the mirror in my room i had one winged eye and it was water proof.. He took photos he can show u himself what he did, if i were his boss, i mean look at the photo. We were lucky enough to have Alex and James doing our hair and makeup. It was a wonderful experience. We had an early morning snafu; evidently there was a miscommunication between my wedding planner at the chapel and Glam Squad, leaving only about an hour or so for hair and makeup. James picked us up from the hotel after speaking with me on the phone. He never once made me feel any extra stress, and the experience was awesome. The attention to detail was wonderful, and both men were so plesent and conversational. I was so happy to have shared part of my special day with them. James is a super star! I mean it! I booked this place 2 weeks in advance for hair and make up on my wedding day. Their prices are reasonable and probably the best in Vegas. I was told that they normally come to your hotel room however Thanks to COVID that is no longer possible. It's ok as they send an Uber to pick you up. James did everything in less than an hour! Then for the rest of the day Sebastian stayed with me and ensured EVERY detail went perfect for my wedding. Yassssss folks, Glamsquad offers superb wedding assistance too! We got married Labor Day Weekend, but I held off on writing my reviews because by writing them it means my wedding is officially over. It's bittersweet for me to write this Yelp. I want them all back. I want Sebastian back. I want James back. James did my hair and makeup. And golly he made me look EXACTLY as I envisioned. You have to understand everyone was telling me how I needed to have all these crazy hairpieces and what not for my look to be "Perfect". But James took one look at me and squashed that crazy talk. He worked his genius while I sat and talked and laughed with him. And when he was all done? Voila! I loved my makeup and hair. I wanted to cry but I didn't want to ruin my makeup. But it turns out that my tears were no match for the airbrush makeup James expertly applied to my face. It was lonnnnnnnnnnng-lasting. It lasted so long I had to force myself to finally remove the bridal face two days later. Haha! Yes. I still wanted to hold on to my wedding face. Tips: Make sure you have enough seating in your room where the hair/makeup service are to be provided. That seating needs to be near natural light, especially for the makeup. Make sure your entire party knows they need to be at the appointment at the same time. The team is awesome at what they do, but if definitely helps to have some kind of idea of what you want. Pictures of similar styles help out. Not necessary, but if you're particular...help them out to see your vision For the wedding assistant have a general timeline of how you want your wedding day to run. Having a list of your other vendors and main contacts is a good idea. Ensure everyone knows you have a wedding assistant and have them go through your assistant for concerns. During my wedding day I retired my phone and let Sebastion take over. It was comforting to know he was taking care of my wedding details. EVERYONE in my family can't stop talking about how Sebastion attended to me and my hubby. Last tip of the day... Relax. You truly are in good hands read more

We booked Glamsquad 702 to do 3 hair & makeup and 1 hair for our wedding party. The booking process was pretty simple, and their price was reasonable ($135 for hair and makeup and $95 for just hair). Our hair stylist, Katie, arrived on time the day of and was super friendly. The hairstyle that we picked was pretty simple; just an elegant ponytail. She was able to do each of our hairs within 30 minutes, but my sister's was falling apart within 20 minutes after and I had to pin some of the loose ends for her. Mine was great through the ceremony, but my side curls that were pinned back fell out as we started taking pictures. James did our makeup, and, boy, he is not the most personable guy by any means. I don't normally wear makeup so I just wanted something light and simple, and he was able to deliver, but just not very friendly and detailed. I had clumps in my eyelashes and it looked like I barely had any mascara on, so I had to re-do them with my own mascara, and he didn't even fill in my eyebrows. He seemed to be in a rush and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Their price was definitely cheaper than the other places for wedding hair and makeup, but for the amount of work that they had to do on us and the time that they spent, it was totally not worth the money. read more

On the day of my wedding, Aaron, the hair stylist shows up first (oh yeah, did I mention I didn't even have to go anywhere and they came to my hotel room?). He had already read what I sent over to them and described to me perfectly what I had imagined my wedding hair to look like. He was spunky and fun and did an amazing job. Then James shows up to do my airbrushed makeup and it was like a whirlwind of celebrity treatment and he was also amazing! He also did a great job and I loved his personality. The only "complaint" I could have is that during the reception dinner, my eyelashes started to fall off. They work in teams of two, so I got Elise (whom communicated with me the whole time) and someone else whose name I don't think I was told. But they were both lovely- very sweet, extremely enthusiastic, playful and did everything that you wanted. They showed up almost an hour after the appointment time, which was booked between 12:30 PM-1:00 PM. I was already on top of this because I read several reviews regarding them not being on time so I made sure to book a good couple hours before I was getting picked up by the limo. I am being forgiving about this because they said that they're always arriving early but that it only takes that one diva Bridezilla to decide that she's going to do something inconsiderate like take a shower right at her appointment time ("True story!" they said), which then sets the domino effect of making the rest of their appointments after that one extremely late. Apparently, this is not an unusual thing. I showed them two photos on my laptop of how I wanted my hair. They took one look at it and Bam! Done. I absolutely loved my hair. It could not have looked nicer. Considering my hair is down past my waist, they were quite fast in getting it puffed up and curled. The only thing was that the curls started to straighten out just a little bit after an hour, though it lasted that way the rest of the day into late night. So make sure they get lots of product in that sucker. They did not spend a lot of time on anything. It was pretty quick and after they were done, they had me look at it and asked if there was anything that they needed to fix or adjust. My husband absolutely loved how I look and he never likes when I wear make-up. Everyone thought it looked nice. I got compliments, even from strangers I passed by. It was a horrible experience today. The stylist was supposed to come between 2 and 2:30. But the time when he got to our hotel room 2:32. Okay 2 min.. but he didn't apologize and just rushed to start. I felt nervous when he didn't show up and I felt mad when I saw his attitude. This is what he exactly said " Alright. I flew to Vegas with my fiancé and two friends. We landed Sunday night and I booked Glamsquad for that Monday afternoon. The artists were on time and made me feel so comfortable! My friend had a blast just watching them sculpt my hair and face, and we both adored their funny banter. They immediately told me how beautiful my eyes were sans makeup... Which made me love them even more. Anyways. They had photos printed out of what I had requested a month prior, and set straight to work. They took maybe a little over an hour to do my elbow length hair in glorious victory rolls with soft curls down my back. Oh, and transform my face into a gorgeous, Jenna Jamesonesque visage of beauty. They were excited the entire time, you can really tell this is their calling. They're artists in the true sense of the word and they don't just want to see you made "more beautiful," but they also want to let the true you shine. Cheesy? Sure, but that's the amazing experience I had. My smoky eyes had a pop of iridescent sparkle and a flick of winged liner. The showstoppers were the faux lashes and strong brows that made my eyes look almond shaped and exotic. My cheekbones looked like a model's and my lips had a subtle "my lips but better" color. And hey, the hair lasted all week! I got SO MANY compliments in many languages by hundreds of people while walking the Vegas strip and Fremont with my funky retro 'do. And this was three days after the wedding. Score!! Y'all made this Detroit-born Iowa-cured girl a very very blissed-out lady on her special day! My skin is oily as hell, I'm a crier, and Vegas isn't known for early nights or temperate climes. But still, I looked luminous all night long. Even my friends were stunned and my friend's husband deemed me "radiantly beautiful." I HIGHLY recommend these lovely people. I cannot imagine a better experience. What a horrible experience! I was so excited to have my hair and makeup done for front-row seats to Rod Stewart. I wanted to look especially beautiful for my long-time idol. When James arrived, I showed him several pictures of the hairstyle I wanted. He said, "ok, I got it." When he finished, I looked in the mirror and I was absolutely horrified! I thought I was being punked. He had parted my hair on the extreme right side, pulled all my hair over to the left side and had it going straight out to a point. It looked nothing like the pictures I had shown him. And the hairstyle was laughable. I could not believe he actually thought anyone should go out in public like that, and especially not for such a special night that I had been looking forward to for several months. I showed him the pictures again of the hairstyle I wanted, and he became very defensive and said he can't do my hair like that because I have shorter layers. Well, why didn't he say that when I showed him the pictures initially? And then we could have discussed options! Not just do some stupid looking hairdo and hope I like it. James was obviously extremely annoyed that I did not like my hair and he would have to work on it some more. He messed with it a little, it looked a little better, but still not great, definitely not the "wow" that I was hoping for. He packed up his things, and I still was not happy with my hair. He begrudgingly took out the flat iron again and ran it through a few strands. My hair ended up looking worse than when I just do it myself. My makeup turned out OK after I touched it up when the makeup artist left. I was disappointed that the lipstick was not better quality. The lipstick bled and came off during dinner before the concert, so I had to use my own to touch it up. I would save $160 (plus tip, which should have been less than I gave) and do my own hair and makeup next time. Or use another company. **** In response to James' comment. I think the pictures speak for themselves. My hair does not look good! The ONLY reason I finally said my hair was OK was because you were OBVIOUSLY VERY ANNOYED and did not want to work on me any more. read more

Glamsquad 702 did my hair and makeup for my wedding a week before Christmas. Let me just say that the team that I got were professional and they did an amazing job. Below is an explanation of why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I had Katie to do my hair and I told her exactly how I treat my hair and how I wanted it done. She did an amazing job. I have very long hair and it didn't hurt when she styled it. She knew exactly what to do and how to take care of my hair. Alex did my makeup and he did do an amazing job as well. However, when I told him that eyeliner (even waterproof eyeliner) doesn't stay on my face for too long it seemed like he didn't believe me. Sure enough, about an hour after he left, the eyeliner was gone. So I had to reapply the eyeliner myself before my wedding. Other than that, Alex did an amazing job doing my makeup just as I wanted. Natural and to look good in photos. That's just the way I wanted it. I would highly recommend Glamsquad 702 to anyone who wants to get hair and makeup done for special occasions.
