Sweet Teriyaki wings with bleu cheese!
    Tracey W.

OB's is a no frills spot that could be intimidating from the outside (it's definitely biker friendly)! We've been twice now and it's definitely going to be a regular stop!! We sat inside at the bar-the wings were the best surprise!! OMG-delish!! We got 10 sweet teriyaki and 10 mild-they were big, tons of sauce and totally exceeded our expectations. We got bottles of Miller Lite which were Supa cold. -BIKER FRIENDLY for sure-plenty of parking and lots of outdoor covered seating and an outdoor bar. Smoking permitted in outdoor area. Band was starting when we were headed out (in the outdoor area) so that's an extra bonus. We were on the motorcycle both times we've been! -Is this place fancy? Absolutely not but the staff was friendly (both times), food super tasty and the bathrooms and indoor restaurant were clean. We like biker bars and dive bars and this place is a new top spot for us. CASH ONLY!!

I've been coming to Ob's for years now, it's a local beer joint with good ole fashion class that still operates like bars were meant to operate, lights down low, ice cold beer, generous pours, a jukebox and no BS allowed and of course cash is king. My recent visit reminded me of what I've miss about this place since it's been quite awhile since I've walked through the doors. When I first moved to Florida this was the first bar I visited, I had a few friends that worked here at that time and lots of friends that drank here so it was definitely the place to hang out and also a great place to grab a good steak cooked over an open flame grill. The outside may be a little deceiving, but don't let it intimidate you everyone is welcome and you're sure to have a great time. I stopped in with a few work associates after attending a business dinner and we had a blast even though it was quite late and most of the local had left. If you're wanting to experience a little piece of old Florida charm Ob's definitely fits the bill...

Don't get the steak special. No flavor. & you can only eat half of it if you're lucky because of all the fat & grizzle. Good wings though.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

This spot earns a solid 5 stars every time for its delicious food, killer burgers, strong drinks, and that unbeatable airport vibe. What really stands out is their seasoned grill--it's known for cranking out some of the most flavorful, perfectly cooked food around. Everything comes off that grill hot, juicy, and packed with taste, whether it's steaks on special nights, wings, sandwiches, or their legendary burgers. Speaking of which, their burgers are amazing--voted #1 best burger in town year after year by locals and visitors for good reason. Half-pound Angus patties charred just right, seasoned perfectly, juicy and never dry, with all the classic fixings or creative twists. I always go for the classic cheeseburger or one of their specials, and it's consistently one of the best I've had anywhere in Volusia County. No heat-lamp nonsense here--everything's made to order, fresh, and hits the spot every single time. The drinks are just as impressive. Full liquor bar with a great selection of cocktails, ice-cold beers, and whatever you're in the mood for--strong pours, creative mixes, and friendly bartenders who know how to make you feel right at home. Whether you're sipping on a cold one while watching planes take off or enjoying a cocktail during live music nights, the drinks keep the good times going. The atmosphere is pure fun: outdoor party deck perfect for watching skydivers during the day or bands in the evenings, indoor dining with TVs for sports, and that unique airport energy where you can plane-spot while you eat. It's casual, welcoming, family-friendly (kids menu available), and the service is always solid--servers are pleasant, quick, and make sure you're taken care of. If you're in DeLand and craving delicious grilled food, an epic burger, or a great drink with a view, head to Airport Restaurant & Gin Mill. It's more than just a restaurant--it's a local favorite with that special something extra. Highly recommend--you'll see why it's a staple around here! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

The place had cool vibes, albeit a bit dingy, as you're basically hugging the flight line while you dine. There were five of us for lunch. We ordered a Crispy Chicken Salad ($14.56), Tommy's Chicken Walnut Salad ($14.56), 2 Bonanza Burgers with fries ($18.72 + $3.12), and a Black Hawk Burger with fries ($18.72 + $3.12). Drinks were 2 iced teas and a Diet Coke ($3.12 each). My wife thought her chicken salad had a good flavor, moist and tender chicken. However, she thought the croissant wasn't light and flaky. My Black Hawk burger had good enough flavor BUT the bun was falling apart and wasn't even warmed up. In the end, I had to finish eating it with a fork and knife. Decent service and ambient but value was lacking. It's probably a "one and done" place for us. Lunch for 5 with tip came out to just over $130.

Within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff was so nice and personable. I felt welcomed. The Artisan is super charming. Very clean. I stayed in the junior suite which is the equivalent of a small apartment. Came with a workspace and a living room. The room was inviting. Gave the vibe of a farmhouse bed and breakfast. Is that even a thing? Tons of natural sunlight. The sofa was plush. The hardwood was the original flooring. Oozed home. The bed was extremely comfortable. I wasn't able to get near it without wanting to take a nap. The bathroom was spacious. Like if you want to feel like you're at a getaway in the countryside this is it. I thoroughly enjoyed just lounging in my room. There was 1 con though, the shower curtain had mold at the bottom. They have daily turndown service. Which is a PLUS because this is not something a lot of hotels, especially chains do anymore. There is a restaurant downstairs. But you won't be burdened by them. I read reviews about the rooms smelling of food but that was not my experience. But the food was terrific. There is also a bar downstairs so you wont even have to the premises for much. There is parking attached to the hotel, they will give you a pass to park for the duration of your stay.

We started with the She Crab Soup, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I then ordered the Dirty Rice Entrée, and wow--what an explosion of flavors! It reminded me of a New Orleans-style paella, loaded with perfectly seasoned dirty rice, andouille sausage, shrimp, and an incredible depth of flavor in every bite. My husband began with the French Vegetable Soup, which he described as magnificent, followed by the Short Rib Sliders, which were tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. For dessert, we indulged in the Peach Cobbler à la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. It was decadent, comforting, and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino served with a rock candy sugar stick--a beautiful finishing touch. The food, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. We can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!
