    Signature burger with fries.
    Alice P.

Came at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening. The clientele was sparse, the wait staff heavy proportionately. It was a warm and inviting environment, the decorations standard for this bar/restaurant. I sat at the bar to get waited on quickly. As quickly as one came to greet and take my dink order, another asked if she could serve me as she had yet to have a table. Fine ny me. However, the service was not good as she stated doing something else in the middle of making my drink, along with talking on the phone when I was about to ask about my drink. She graciously put the phone down, went back to my half mixed drink and brought it to me. Then she says, would you like something to eat? What??? I gave you my order 15 minutes ago, I thought. I guess my look alerted her, when she remembered and sis oh no, you already ordered, and walked to the register to put it in. Still, a very sparse crowd. Poor service. I also had a glass of water that was clearly tap and not pleasant. Get a water purifier if you're gonna serve tap water My food came after about 45 minutes door to table. The burger was juicy and the fries were good, although they were the soggy variety. I don't know if I'll ever return. Since downtown DeLand isn't a huge spot, not sure I'll be able to avoid it living here.

Food was really good and staff was friendly. It does smell weird in there lol. I guess expected being a bar.

We had another great dinner here. My daughter loved the TPO Burger and the chips. All the food was so delicious. Glad to have another go-to restaurant in Downtown!

Aspiring to be a dive bar, but doesn't quite make it. Pesto chicken sandwich: chicken was overdone and dry, accompanying bun was burnt. Meh.

Our group was hungry and were looking for a place without a wait. We ended up here, I had no expectations but was pleasantly surprised. At first glance I expected just your average bar food. The place was clean, but there was a mild smoke smell, so it's something to consider if you're sensitive to that. The staff, however, was extremely friendly, greeting us as we came in, sitting us immediately, and were just overall accommodating. My wife's and my food did come out around 5-10 minutes after everyone else's (we were the only ones to get flatbreads) which was a little annoying, but they were worth the wait. Like I said I was expecting average bar food, but these were some of the best flat breads I've ever had. The crust was more of a peta bread than a crust, which I very much enjoyed. The flavor on them was good and the presentation was wonderful! We will definitely be stopping in again for those flatbreads again soon.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

Cafe DaVinci in downtown DeLand (112 W Georgia Ave) is hands-down my favorite spot for live music,…read moredrinks, and good vibes in Volusia County--I've been going for years, and it never disappoints. This place has such a unique, eclectic energy that's hard to find anywhere else: a perfect mix of cozy indoor bar, open-air courtyard with string lights and a massive lighted oak tree that gives it this magical, almost enchanted garden feel at night. It's got that laid-back, artsy DeLand charm but with enough edge to keep things exciting--think market lights twinkling overhead, pool tables outside, and a crowd that's always friendly and ready to have fun. The live music is what really sets it apart. They host original local bands, cover acts, rock, pop, R&B, throwback tunes, and everything in between almost every night--concerts start around 9 PM, and the energy ramps up fast. I've seen everything from killer rock bands to dance-floor fillers that get the whole place moving. And yes, people actually dance here! The courtyard turns into a real dance floor on busy nights--whether it's grooving to 70s classics, current hits, or feel-good empowerment anthems, it's impossible not to get pulled in. No stiff vibes; it's all about letting loose and enjoying the moment. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced (coldest beer in town, as they claim), and the bar staff is top-notch--super friendly, quick, attentive, and genuinely nice. Bartenders like Zach and the rest of the crew remember faces, crack jokes, make killer cocktails, and keep the good times flowing without ever making you feel rushed. The owner and team create this welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming solo to catch a show, with friends for a night out, or just want a spot to chill with great music in the background, Cafe DaVinci delivers. It's more than a bar--it's DeLand's best original live music venue where you can drink local, dance local, and make memories. If you're in the area, especially on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it--I've recommended it to everyone I know, and they all come back raving. Keep rocking, Cafe DaVinci team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

It's not unlike the bars I grew up in - the old vinyl swivel chairs lining the bar, with a stack of glass ashtrays stacked off to the side, two pool tables with a few locals creeping around chalking their 5 piece pool cues looking for a pickup game, smoke filled and dark. We grabbed a table near the back door and the bartenders brought over a few sweating glass bottles of LandShark stuffed with lime wedges, she was friendly and attentive. There were a few small groups scattered around the bar BS'ing and slamming shots along side their chilled glasses of cheap draft. You could tell by the conversation some of these guys have been telling the same stories for years to the same group of friends and often loud enough to be heard by a few strangers like me - it seems the first liar doesn't stand a chance. Although I've been passing this bar for years this was my first time stopping in but it definitely won't be my last, they used to call these working man bars, today I'd say that could be somewhat true but I think some of the patrons probably open this bar and few others close it everyday - there were a few philosophers at the bar giving advice to whomever would listen, even if the sky was falling you wouldn't be able to tell inside here. It's definitely a bar that makes what you think is your last beer isn't always your last beer...
