We went looking for new bedroom carpet and were amazed with the selection. The building entrance is just west of the train tracks on Hillsboro and the entrance is up some hefty stairs. We were welcomed by Ed, a friendly salesman, who walked us around the showroom. There were plenty of various selling points, which can easily accommodate any buyer level. We had an idea of our bedroom dimensions, but to be sure Dolphin sent out a guy to our house to make sure the measurements were accurate. There was a slight charge to do this, but the fee will be subtracted from our final bill if we move forward. We ended up picking a nicely designed pattern and looking forward to the installation. read more

‼ WARNING ‼ TOTAL NIGHTMARE, DO NOT GO HERE! If you do...AVOID EDWARD LENNOX (salesman) AT ALL COSTS! The reviews that praise Edward are FAKEEEEEEE they are all lacking substance and made with 'new' accounts with no other reviews. I hired Dolphin Carpet and Tile expecting professional service and high-quality results. Instead, I received an incomplete, mishandled, and frustrating experience from start to finish. During the first installation, the crew arrived with insufficient material--something a professional company should have ensured before starting the job. They completed about 75% of the work before informing me they didn't have enough material to finish. To make matters worse, I was told there was no more material available. After over an hour of phone calls, they "miraculously" found more material--but only if I agreed to pay an additional $390. Even worse, the master bedroom and closet remain unfinished, as shown in the photos I submitted. Communication from their regional manager was beyond unprofessional. I received text messages stating they would not complete the job unless I signed paperwork agreeing to their terms and removed my credit card dispute. This was essentially a threat--do what we say, or we don't finish the work you already paid for. During the second visit, they installed the wrong colored material and spliced it to try and match the white section. They then taped it down with blue tape and told me not to remove it for 48 hours. Once the tape came off, it was obvious they had used brown material instead of white--a clear attempt to cover up their mistake. I paid premium rates to a company I believed to be reputable. Instead, I'm now forced to hire another company to fix the mess they left behind. The installers were not only careless--they were deceitful, attempting to hide poor work instead of making it right. I do not recommend Dolphin Carpet and Tile to anyone. Their customer service is dismissive, their practices are shady, and the quality of work is unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and choose a company that actually stands behind its work. read more

This was one of the most poorly handled situations I have dealt with as a designer. I reached out multiple times to Andre Corey regarding serious issues with the carpet installation. I was told he would "see what the installer had to say." After that, I was completely ignored. I followed up repeatedly and was dismissed every time. No resolution, no accountability, no attempt to fix the problem. What makes this especially unacceptable is that I personally recommended my client to this company. Their failure to address the issue made me look unprofessional by association. Andre Corey was the primary point of contact and did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. Based on my experience, I would not trust his word or expect follow-through of any kind. If you value communication, accountability, and standing behind your work, I would strongly reconsider working with this company. read more

This was not the best experience. Had I not had tile installed before -- seamlessly -- by another company, I would not even imagine that doing a house project would have been so tear-inducing and frustrating. The sales portion of the interaction was fine. The original tile I wanted they did not have in sufficient quantity, so I went up in size and price. Edward, our salesman, was very personable. After obtaining a sample to ensure a color match, we made all the final contract arrangements and set up an installation date. He checked with the installation department to confirm this date was doable, while we waited at his desk. No problem. They require 50 percent deposit upfront. Done. We prepared the house for the installation and were up bright and early on the installation date, but no one showed up. After many emails and phone calls, they were able to get someone to come two days later. The sub-contractor showed up finally and dropped off all the materials. And collected the final payment in advance. Another sub sub was left at the house to begin the actual installation. He came by himself mainly except for a couple days with a helper. And one day off due to "car problems". The house was left with debris on the lawn -- wooden baseboards, spilled grout, a sponge outside, and marks on everything. After complaining, the materials left on the front lawn were removed. When the installer finished the job late one night, he left the tile with grout spots, and a film covering it -- making it look dirty, handprints on the walls and furniture and marks all over. We asked someone to come see it right away. They didn't. Five days later after the installation, the office called wanting to come over to the house. By then, I was so frustrated that I didn't want to see anyone from the company ever again. My husband and I had to clean the floors several times to remove most of the grit, etc. We are still finding fingerprints on furniture and mirrors, etc. to this day. Vinyl flooring from Dolphin was laid in our living room and kitchen area a few years ago. We were pleased with the product in all ways, so we decided to add the same flooring to our bedrooms. The acquisition process was somewhat frustrating. I assumed that Dolphin would do the paperwork necessary to get the flooring permit. I was wrong. I learned that for a additional fee they would do it. I did it myself since the delay was irritating. The installers were incredible. They did a professional installation resulting in elegant looking rooms. We are totally happy with final results. read more

Just to make clear, the salesman Colton and the installer Paolo were awesome. It's to bad your regional manager Mark and the scheduling manager Jeff aren't up to par. Time for communication training. Keep the customer informed and not at the last minute. Also it's outrageous that you hold my money hostage by not being willing to refund my money when I'm unhappy with how your management team handles things. Their was no special order on the product,so it wouldn't have been a big deal to do. I guess when your management team is so bad and they make people wanting to cancel. Your only safe guard is a no refund policy, so why care about the customers satisfaction. No repeat business or word of mouth for you. I have another house that needs floors. The sales process was easy the installation was difficult. Installer showing up late. Poor quality workmanship when speaking with management no results management came out and took pictures and I never heard back from them. Another set of installers came to fix the previous work. I ordered pure white tiling and pure white grout. My grout came out beige in certain areas, I was then told that's what happens when you order white grout. They should've been told to me prior to my purchase purchase. Not happy with the responsiveness of management. Secondly, I was told this was a three day process, it took almost 3 weeks, but installation took place in my bedroom. All of my furniture was removed from my bedroom, and my bed placed in the center of my room. Keep in mind this was almost 3 weeks. I do not recommend this company unless you want to be lied to. read more

Better late than never for a review right ? We got brand new vinyl flooring from Dolphin back in September when were renovating out new home. The manager Paul Draluck and his staff were exceptional. They took the time to sit with me and really explain the different options and types of flooring available. In the end we went with Mohawk brand which was a great decision. They ordered us and everything came in a few days later. Did I mention, the flooring is very dog friendly. It's waterproof ! I love the trendy look of my new grey floors. Dolphin Carpet and tile what a joke . I have done floors for 30 years . I should have done my step dads as well. What I saw from their installers is a disgrace . They had ends not butted up correctly . Sides of the flooring lipped . Instead of doing to project right with removing the base boards, they put down quarter round which did not line up properly . The quarter round they used did not match existing base board . These are supposed to be professional people . What a joke !!! Also they asked for cash to finish the job . I believe that's against the law . Where are the receipts ??? Any time money is transferred the tender is supposed to provide a receipt . Dolphins general manager said that's how they do business in case the installer runs short of product . So do you get Dolphin or Lowe's product ???? Why would one need cash if they have to go back to the shop? Very shady . They also could not run under a door to make it look pretty , they had to use a threshold which looked stupid . But to top it off they broke the pipe in the floor when removing the toilet. Do you think Dolphin Carpet would replace broken parts, fix their mistakes or refund some money Absolutely Not !!! Andre Cory was very knowledgeable and helpful. My husband and I live in Chicago and relied on recommendations from people in Deerfield Beach for flooring contacts. We went through three different companies before meeting Andre. The Dolphin Carpet store is huge! Andre helped us better understand our flooring options and what works best in Florida (humidity). He gave us many different price options and choices. I was very concerned about the baseboard he was suggesting, but went with his recommendation. We arranged an install date and I spoke with Andre a few times as I was organizing all contractors from Chicago. He made the install go seamlessly! There was a small glitch with the install date, but it all worked out. Living in Chicago, I didn't see the finished product until a week after the installation. I was wowed by the job. I didn't know much About flooring he took time to inform us and guide us to the best material for our home at a great all inclusive price. I was given his personal cell number and he made us so comfortable with a large important purchase for our new home. The installers were neat and cleaned up after themselves. In this case dolphin was a little more per square foot but it was well worth it to get the personal service and great flooring installation. We have neighbors who used Lowe's they started a month before us and they're still not done while we're all moved in.
