Overall pleasant experience dealing with Dolphin Carpet. My Salesman, Edward Lenox, was very helpful and honest. The installation crew that came to the house were very helpful and went above and beyond just installing the carpet. They even helped me fix my desk that had a broken leg on it. They went and got the hot glue gun and fixed it for me! Two years ago I used Dolphin to install patio tile. The installation was flawless and the tile looks great. We had to replace our wood flooring due to a water leak so I turned again to Dolphin. When I am trying new businesses, I tend to be skeptical and I watch every step of the work from the measurements, to the quality of materials, to the contract, to the installation, to the final inspection. I assume nothing and check and verify everything. That said Dolphin Carpet and Tile of Deerfield Beach did a great job of tile installation in my two bedrooms. I have very expensive and very heavy hard wood furniture and these two men took care to move it in and out to make sure no scratches. They took apart the sleigh beds which are a pain but did it cheerfully and with care and precisely reassembled them. They installed the tile with taste in design and with the highest quality! Some pieces were cut with angles matched only by the 8 sided stones of machu pichu (spelling? Sorry) in Peru! They recommended the grout color among the 146 to choose from. His suggestion was flawlessly perfect! Matched beautifully! The tile was a beautiful natural stone color from Brazil and of great quality for a great value price. The entire job was $1,000 less than Home Depot quoted for a lesser quality stone tile. These installers came when they said and finished a day early but with the utmost quality and consideration! Ronald the Foreman was outstanding. He even professionally patched a foundation crack discovered under the carpet utilizing the correct application of special latex tape and cement for only $50 more. (Subbing that work out would have been a pain and delayed my tile installation by 2 weeks and probably cost me $300). They fixed it without missing a beat! His recommendation for thresholds made a nice contrast and matched beautifully! The grout was spread flawlessly and these guys were masters at installing the tile to insure minimal gaps between wall and tile, meaning even grout lines throughout and no unsightly gaps that had to be filled. Ronald also guided us to maintenance and tile care and cleaned up the work area nicely. Ronald and his team were also very professional in appearance, communications and work ethic. They got to it and worked all day, two and 1/2 days to finish! (My super heavy furniture had caused the job to be deemed 3 and 1/2 days but they finished in 2 1/2. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed on project time)! Bentley the salesman was likable and put my wife at ease but I care more for the quality of the tile and the installation. We felt the total price was very fair and a good value for the quality. So, customer service means nothing unless the product and tile installation is excellent!!! It was! And now for the "FINAL TEST"--the dreaded "WIFE TEST". My wife had to work and I had to supervise! Would it pass the WIFE TEST??? She LOVED it!!!!! No more dog house or couch for me!!! Over all I rate the tile quality, installation, consulting pre-sale, consulting at installation, and workmanship to be the best ever! Outstanding! We will purchase from them again!!!! The sales person Andre is a real nice guy that seems to want to help and do the right thing, but he works there and it is tough. I must say the service, product and warranty is total garbage. It took over 2 years to get my floor fixed and it still isn't right. The wooden floor cost me over $10k and it is awful with the same issues as the day after it was installed. The original installation was done incorrectly and I had to pay to fix their error. The service manager, Don, did nothing except push back when I complained about the issues. I will never hire or recommend this unprofessional company to anyone. Buyer beware. I would give it negative stars if possible, but I have to give 1 star to post a review. read more

New flooring installation began Feb 15 and was to be completed within 10-14 days. It is now March 31 and still not completed. Feb 15 new floor installation in our house began. We completely moved out, packed up the house, rented pods in our driveway, and rented a hotel with our children for 2 weeks. Most floors were tiled but put on hold Feb 26, when we moved back in, due to not enough tile. More tile was ordered and promised by March 10 by Bentley (our rep). It arrived and showed up at our home with every box broken and cracked on March 11. Bentley then promised it would be completed March 18. We told him we at least needed the baseboards completed in the rooms that were finished so we could begin putting our home back. Some baseboards were installed March 15. March 18 comes along and no phone call from Bentley. We contacted him and he said another week. It would be here and installed on March 25. March 25 comes and no phone call from Bentley. We now call the tile installers because we have their number. He says the tile is just getting off the truck. It cannot be installed until Saturday. You would think our sales rep, who is working for us, would've kept in contact. Meanwhile, as impatient as I am, I have been completely understanding. It is out of our hands, but this has become downright absurd. Tile installers have been great by the way. Tile is installed on Saturday, March 27. Bentley had put off having the guys complete the baseboards until tile was completely finished, which was March 27. Baseboards were then promised to be completed on Wednesday, March 31. Why we weren't first priority for 2 hours worth of work after all of this is beyond me. March 31 comes and nobody shows up. 3 phone calls are placed to Bentley and district manager. Their answer, "We cannot get a hold of the baseboard guys." Not good enough. This is why I am sitting here at 6:00 in the evening on a Wednesday, after teaching students all day, my own kids to come home to and worry about, and a home still in a disarray. I am completely appalled with Bentley and this company. Again, the tile installers have done amazing work. However, at this point, I feel completely worthless to this company and blown off. It is truly a shame, because I saw nothing but great reviews before hiring them for the job. I would not recommend Dolphin Carpet and Tile, and speaking with Bentley, I felt like just another number. $30,000 spent on flooring with such poor customer service is such a disgrace. All the contractors that came to do the job, were very knowledgeable and worked hard in removing and laying our floors. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! 18 months ago, I bought carpet from a very nice sales guy. My husband at the time then took his only day off to work with the installation guys to help them with the carpet. That day they called several times they were running late and almost canceled last minute. They reluctantly came at 6:00 pm to install carpet, they then also brought there daughter to my home because they had no one to baby sit her. My husband and I fed and played with the little girl while the gentleman worked. They did a terrible job, because they were rushed. They left a seam at the entrance of one room, the carpet was loose against several walls and uneven in the guest room. I was furious, but Dolphin & carpet said they would fix it. The next time they came, they brought the wrong carpet and the associate in the store blatantly told me I was mean and nasty and had no idea what I was talking about. When I spoke to the regional manager, he then told me he would take care of it, and give me something for my trouble. This was a whole $50 gift certificate after spending thousands of dollars. Now my carpet is coming off the wall and now the regional manager is stating that since its been 18 months, they cant come fix it for free, they can only absorb some of the cost. After everything I went through are you KIDDING. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY LIE ABOUT THE QUALITY AND THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would just have ate the cost in my business, because of everything I went through, but they obviously don't care. read more

Buyer Beware. We are snowbirds from New England. We chose Dolphin Tile based on their years in business in the area. What a mistake! We diligently price shopped for our laminate wood- look flooring for our recently purchased condo in Deerfield Beach. Although Dolphin Tile was considerably higher in price we were assured by our Salesman Bentely Bleach that our flooring had a 25 year warranty and that Dolphin Tile was a reputable company. Approx 700 feet of flooring was installed for $5480. The bill of sale reads "price included installation, 1/4 inch pad and reducer, and rip up tile and carpet". The floor we chose was beautiful and all seemed well. Fast forward 18 months later....being snowbirds we spend less than 5 months a year at our condo. When we arrived in November, our floor was buckling and was broken in several areas and was creaking incessantly. We stopped by the store on Hillsboro Blvd and was referred to district manager Paul Draluck. He informed us that the warranty for this particular problem was expired as it was indeed only a one year warranty and that the 25 year warranty did not apply for this particular problem. After much stressful back and forth with Mr Draluck it came down to the store blaming the installers and the installer blaming the product. Paul Draluck was rude and at one point threatened to hang up the phone on me. Before contacting our attorney we gave it one more shot be contacting Mr Dralucks boss, Carrie Cass. Mr Cass was very professional and got things rolling. Outcome: We were charged $600, to pull up the floor and prep the sub floor properly which should have been done in the first place! To add insult to injury they came on a Friday and didn't return until Monday afternoon.Result: Inconvenience, mess, scratched baseboards, scuffed walls and finally a floor properly installed. read more

The sales portion of the deal was fine. However the installation was a disaster. They were 1 1/2 hours late with no call. The installers were surly, trite, and obnoxious. They were here to install a wood floor a basic job, They removed 4 bi-fold doors to the closet. When they were almost complete with the job they informed us that the doors could not be reinstalled. I was told to hire a carpenter to install them. Would have been nice to know prior to ripping up the old floor. They left a white chemical coating on the floor and said I had to clean it. Doorway transition strip installed crooked. To top it off they demanded that I sign a completed and satisfactory installation statement. Worse company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with! I had another multi thousand dollar dear waiting with Dolphin Carpet and Tile that I have cancelled. If you are smart you will run screaming from this company. read more
