Such a great experience for my 12 year old daughter, We went there while we were staying at Hawks cay Resort, and this was a very well organized experience. It's a expensive 45 minutes , but we'll worth by the smile on my girl. Trainer was great explaining the steps ,and talking about the dolphins. For what I saw the only not so good thing is when they divide the party's the should make sure everyone has the 45 min full experience and not divide the 45 min in between them

My wife and grandson did the package where you wade on a platform and interact with the dolphins. They absolutely had a blast. Price is a bit steep but it's a very memorable experience. I have no regrets. Place was hard to find because Google maps took me to the wrong location. It's close by, but not the place that was shown. They also have no signs up at the new location. After stressing out because we were going g to be late, it ended up being wonderful.

    Having the dolphin do tricks

My daughter decided to try the Dolphin encounter program. After a brief educational class about dolphins she was able to get right in the water! The trainer who worked with my daughter was Felicia. My daughter had a one on one session with the trainer since she was the only one signed up for the 10:30 time slot. The program is expensive but it's not something you can do many other places. They also email you many photos to download!

Surreal experience with dolphins! Beautiful place! Awesome honeymoon excursion! Swimming with the dolphins was amazing and the people were also amazing!

I'm not someone who writes reviews but depended on them for my Florida Keys trip. YOU WANT TO DO THIS‼ Choose the Royal Swim - it was awesome and I'm so happy I found this place vs the original place I considered. Pictures come with your package and here are samples.

They like to keep you busy because we arrived just before noon and they had an alligator feeding at noon. They have a breeding pond with over 200 alligators, about five females to every one male. The feeding show took about 10 minutes and included some education about alligators and their breeding practices. We headed to the boat loading area and loaded up. We enjoyed a 20 minute airboat ride, mostly at high speeds, with some 360 and 180 degree turns. They warn that you will get wet and the front seats are the wettest. This is not a ride to see alligators. There are companies geared toward that elsewhere. This is more for the thrill. They also provide ear protection. Afterward, we grabbed some fried gator nuggets and walked around the park. They have baby gators, snakes and reptiles, emus, birds, and other animals that you can check out. They also have some encounters that you can pay extra for, but these also require paying admission. Then they had another show at 1pm, which included some gator wrestling, which basically was gentle and alligator friendly. They then offered people the chance to hold a baby gator at the end. It was a great experience and worth the $36.

I felt like the airport ride was a lot longer in the previous visit I had. This was only 20 minutes, but we got lucky as we saw a lot of wildlife on our ride. If you want a relaxing ride through the gators, this was not it. It didn't really include any educational portions of it. It was just a fast airboat ride through the Everglades. Otherwise they have two gator shows that you can watch. We only went to one as we had to be going to get to Key West. Otherwise, I felt like my first experience was better than this one.

I really liked how spacious a lot of the exhibits felt, and there are plenty of areas to stop, grab something to eat or drink, and take a break from the Miami heat. I'd definitely recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and giving yourself several hours if you actually want to explore most of the zoo. Whether you're going with kids, friends, or even just looking for something different to do in Miami, Zoo Miami is absolutely worth visiting. I'd go back. While I was here many of the animals had a fair amount of space and were definitely more taken care of than their original situation. For example, some of the monkeys were lab monkeys and other others were owned by civilians who thought they could take care of exotic animals when they clearly couldn't. I do wish the lions have more space for that many being in one enclosure, but it looks like all they did was lay down and sleep in the sun basking so they may just be happy like that The price is a little bit expensive for a general tour, but I don't think it's not worth it. We took the general wildlife experience and were able to have a tour and then also visit with a couple exotic species, including a couple of ball pythons, a really awesome spectacle owl, which was my favorite and some other reptiles. Overall, I think it was worth a visit, but I'm not sure I'd come back again since I feel like I saw everything unless it was for an encounter. The otter encounter seems the most interactive so I'd recommend that one. Our tour guide was Mikayla, and she was very honest and gave facts that she knew and nothing that she did. I do wish the different enclosures had labels on them to give us an idea of the names of the species and where they're originally located as the tour guide wasn't able to answer one of our questions about them but gave what she knew. I kind of like the idea that people aren't allowed to go roaming around the property on their own banging on enclosures and trying to stick their fingers through bars. I think it's just a really good safety precaution. You will be limited to about an hour worth of a visit overall I had a great time.

That said, we had a really nice time here. It has a small intimate feel so you are close to the tanks and you can take your time. We came later in the day and we were able to catch the game fish and shark feeding. The tank itself was pretty dark and it was honestly hard to see much happening in the water, but the staff member giving the talk was engaging and informative. We learned a lot especially about mangroves and how important they are to the ecosystem. We also stayed for most of the touch tank tuck in tour which I found to be surprisingly sweet. They secure the animals before closing to ensure everyone is safe and protected while the staff is not on site. They also encourage audience participation and there was only one child there at the time I was present, but she really seemed to enjoy helping put the animals away. It was very cute and the staff was very kind to her and made sure she understood what was going on. All the staff were very knowledgeable and genuinely friendly and you could tell they care about what they do. I personally liked seeing the clownfish and learning about them, but my favorite was probably the queen triggerfish. She was beautiful and full of personality. There was also a large tortoise which my husband really enjoyed watching swim around the large tank. The aquarium is dog friendly and since we were traveling through the area we probably would not have come otherwise. I love dog friendly activities and I always give extra stars just for that. Our pup was safe and felt curious and it was enjoyable for her too. They also have a little kiosk where you can take a free digital souvenir photo so I snapped one of us with our dog. It's a small touch but all the patrons loved it. I did read a lot of reviews before coming that made it seem like the price of admission was not worth it because the aquarium is small. I live near the Monterey Bay aquarium and have visited it many times. It's one of the best aquariums in the world and you can spend hours inside, but it costs $65 per person. The key West aquarium cost us around $20 and I doubt many people spend more than an hour - 90 minutes here but I think if you put it into perspective the price is absolutely reasonable. There was a lot of empty space and spots under construction, which is understandable but makes more of an impact when the aquarium itself is so small. Overall, this is a quick educational, easy stop in Key West and we are definitely glad we visited.

I'd never been to the Everglades before and an airboat tour seemed to be the thing so I bought the ticket and took the ride. I wouldn't mind going back to the Everglades but I don't think I'd take another airboat tour. It was an alright experience but a one and done for me. Our captain had his schtick down with jokes left and right, or is that port and starboard? They give you both written and verbal reminders that they appreciate tips so even with the steep $50 charge I handed him a fiver after. We saw a couple gators up close and they just jdgaf about tourists gawking at them or how very loud the airboats are. Those creatures are all about energy conservation mode when they're lazing about in the Florida sun. The boats are loud. Ours hit 116 db on the decibel meter on my phone. That's about 15 decibels louder than the loudest I measured at the Pistons/Magic game at the Kia Center and only one decibel short of the loudest it got at The Offspring concert at the Florida Strawberry Festival. They do provide foam earplugs at ESP but I've become inured to loud noise and/or sustained hearing damage from the many concerts I've gone to so I only wore them a lot while. Just like at Universal upstate (is upstate Florida a thing?) you get a preshow with your boat ride. You get to see gators and your host holds a baby gator and maybe a snake and maybe a bird or something? I can't remember... I've got so many vacation reviews I'm trying to keep straight and I was just ready for the boat tour. One obnoxious kid was pretty hilarious, taping our host with the creatures as close as he possibly could and following her around as she tried to give everyone a good look with him getting in the way no matter where she turned. Finally the kid's grandfather got him to stop crowding her. I couldn't believe how patient she had been up to that point. There's a short nature trail here as well but I thought I'd get that in somewhere else and hit the road once our airboat tour concluded.
