I totally LOVED this experience and can't wait to go again. We took the 2pm train tour to the island. My son loved the little cute train. You go over the old Seven Mile Bridge to get to Pigeon Key. There you first sit down and hear about the history of Flagler's Overseas Highway Railroad before you do a tour of the island. It was so interesting that I really got into the whole Flagler history afterward that I even bought some books at their gift shops and went to St. Augustine to see all the building mentioned during the tour. Once you're done with the tour, you get to explore the island on your own. Since we had to take the last train back at around 4pm, we didn't have a lot of time. Next time, we want to take the early train out and go snorkeling and swimming on the islands

CT did such an amazing job at detailing the history about and around the whole Pigeon Key story...all of us were hanging on her next words. She was do knowledgeable and answered the many questions that were presented to her throughout the tour. A great ride by boat to and from the island was part of the tour that sounds like may be coming to an end unfortunately as things continue to change and progress with all the changes these days. A great experience for people of all ages

Absolutely wonderful. I've been on many tours to many locations, and CT is hands down the most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable guide I have had EVER. Thank you so much! The train was fast. All staff was friendly and the tour blew away my expectations!

We so enjoyed our trip to Pigeon Key! From the train ride across the bridge, to the in-depth tour around the island, this was a trip to remember. This small unassuming island is full of history and amazing stories. Everyone we met today was so friendly and passionate about sharing the story of the island. We got really lucky with the weather and loved our time walking around and sitting by the water. Could not recommend this spot enough.

We visited in November, 2023. We were driving and noticed the train, Googled, and discovered a little more information about Pigeon Key. We booked our seats for the next day and had a lovely visit. The tour was informative , the atmosphere was laidback, and we enjoyed the freedom of just poking around. Is this an "action packed" place? Nope. But that's what makes it appealing. Just a peaceful way to spend some time learning some history. We quite enjoyed ourselves.

The tour is a waste of money and there are no bathrooms at the Visitor Center or on the key.

Our four hours included: - Key Lime Pie from Trading Post Store - my favorite stop and most authentic pie - simple and delicious. Returned for another slice and tried their Cuban sandwich which was excellent (generous meat) - Iced Hibiscus tea and fresh fish taco from Bad Boys Burrito was delicious (a bit spicy). We'll be back next visit. - Coconut shrimp and shrimp fritter from Shrimp Shack - my husband's favorite stop. Plus large fresh brewed teas. - Stopped at Church with beautiful stain glass and the hurricane memorial next to it. - Flight of beers to sample from Florida Keys Brewing Company - Islamorada Art Gallery by Pasta - great paintings. We even went back for a hat with his colorful fish embroidered on it. - Battered fish taco and lobster fritter from Pierre's One stop was closed so Craig substituted another. Craig was very informative and shared history and great stories. Highly recommend!

We met everyone and Craig was wonderful at explaining everything as we went along. He and his wife drove us to each location. Some were restaurants where we sampled tacos, shrimp, the best key lime pie I've had and fish dip. Other places were a small art gallery, an olive oil and vinegar gift shop (loved It!!) and historical locations that we wouldn't have known about. This was a very good tour and we really enjoyed exploring the area. Craig answered all of the group's questions whether about the current locations we were in or other highlights of the area. They were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! We truly appreciated them!

We had booked the day before and were told that if weather conditions were unsafe due to the wind, the trip would be canceled and we would be notified. When we arrived that morning, we were told the trip was still going ahead. As we headed out, Candice explained there would be a "splash zone" on the boat. Unfortunately, the conditions were much worse than expected -- the entire boat was getting soaked from rough waves and strong wind. The ride out was extremely intense, and honestly, I expected we might turn back. When we arrived at the snorkeling location, the waves were still crashing heavily, visibility was poor, the wind was strong, and it had even started raining. I was surprised the trip continued under those conditions. Since we had already paid, I decided to try snorkeling anyway, which ended up being a mistake. Within minutes, I was struggling badly in the water. The waves were rough, I was swallowing water, and I was fighting just to get back to the boat. My daughter actually had to help me back in. Once I was back onboard, the rough conditions made me extremely seasick, and I spent the rest of the excursion vomiting over the side of the boat. It was honestly awful. I do want to say that Candice, the captain, and Hope were all incredibly kind and helpful throughout the experience. I understand everyone is trying to make a living, and I appreciate how nice the staff was personally. However, I truly do not believe it was safe to be out there that day. What surprised me even more was that my husband was out fishing that same morning, and his captain told him there was "100% no way" snorkeling tours would go out in those conditions -- yet ours still did. Thankfully, this was not my first snorkeling experience, because if it had been, I probably never would have tried it again.
