This is a great place to explore and learn about Florida! I have gone annually for over a decade and I'll continue to do it. The aquarium is clean, the staff is friendly, and theres so many different ways to interact with the marine life! You can get face to face with sharks, eels, and stingrays (its pretty awesome). This is a kind of small but neat aquarium for the kids. They had a great time feeding all of the different animals. All of the employees there were super friendly and informative. But there was a blonde girl there who was holding a baby alligator, and she was very rude to me. Then a little while later, I saw her being rude to another family. I understand there are rules and procedures that have to be in place but it's not what you say. It's the way you say it. And that girl needs a stern talking to you about her attitude. read more

Large aquarium tanks in the middle one showing reef type fish and the other tank with predator and more aggressive fish. They have a pool with 3 to 4 foot gators that you can feed. Bring change for the machines. Large lobster tank. You can feed the tarpon, jacks, and parrot fish. You can also feed the lobsters, stingrays in the big pool, and the turtles. We bought the 6 feeding punch card which costs $15 you get one for free. Definitely worth the trip. read more

This is an ideal site for kids- plenty of touch pools and lots of information regarding habitat. As an adult, not so much. We could have probably viewed the whole thing in an hour but spent time feeding stingrays. It is clean and well managed. Cost wise, it is expensive: $30 per adult and if you wanted extras like swimming with the fish, the cost was way too high to justify. The restrooms were clean. We did not eat there. The aquarium is a must do. This is one cool place. It is different from other aquariums. First the staff is incredible. They are happy to work here and they are knowledgeable. They welcome questions and are approachable. I like that you can feel, touch and feed some of the aquarium residents lol. FYI bring cash if you want to feed anything. The feedinds are cash only. The place also has shows going on all day. It is not a big place. I would plan on spending a few hours here. There is do much to do. Check out the webpage before coming. I suggest getting here early. Our family loved this aquarium! The staff were amazing and very helpful. The displays were excellent and very informative. Our five year old did the stingray encounter and that lasted over half an hour being in the tank, feeding the rays with lots of stingrays. Incredible. I came to Florida Kets Aquarium with a friend, who is a member. I loved it, but it is quite small. They have various types of sharks, and other local fish, as well as turtles and stingrays. You can literally do the entire place in less than an hour. I found it to be a bit pricey as well, $25 per person plus tax for such a small place is a lot. I get it though, these places rely on tourists to feed and rehabilitate these wonderful animals. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the size. read more

I've been to many aquariums that are much larger but I happened to love how much this place had to offer. We easily spent two hours here, and could have spent more. They have many interactive opportunities and it appears clean and the animals are well taken care of. It was really beautiful, my daughter especially liked the many touch tank options. This was such a great excursion for the day. It was small enough that there wasn't a ton of walking and a wonderful experience for our kids (10 and 11). We did the general admission and were there for about three hours - and all agreed it was worth the price for general admission. I'm not sure I'd pay for any "encounters" (which we didn't) - there was plenty hands-on exhibits for them to interact, touch and feed. If you have kids bring them here. It's a relatively small place so it's very manageable to walk and spend all day here. A good half day and you will have done everything. Kids loved touching the sting rays. We also did the event with sharks where they flips the sharks on their backs and you run their bellies. My family (all adults!) LOVED this place. I usually get bored when visiting aquariums and feel bad for the fish trapped in small tanks. This place is the exception. As another Yelper wrote, it looks like a small place but there are so many fascinating things to experience, it would be easy to spend hours wandering around. Our favorite was the stingray petting tank. There are hand washing stations so you don't contaminate the water with your hands. The stingrays swim up to be pet! There was a small one that would swim by and splash water on all of us as he went by! I spent $3 for a small cup of cut-up celery to feed the turtles. They gave me a "feeding stick" to attach the food. There are fish food stations to buy pellets (bring quarters with you or purchase tokens at the entrance) to feed the giant tarpons or rainbow fish. We ended up spending about 1.5 hours. There are on-going tours, but we just wandered around on our own. read more

It's a very small aquarium you could see and do everything in about 2 hours, that is if you don't do any of the in-tank activities. The biologist Laura who takes care of the nurse sharks does a wonderful presentation for the kids, however has very strict and rigid rules regarding self regarding cell phone use. One of the cobias in the big tank looked sort of sick and the little gators look pretty cramped in their area. Overall it's a pretty pleasant experience you get what you pay for, if you have a couple of hours to kill and you want to learn a few cool things check it out. read more
