Dentist put in temporary glue, but put in so much it overflowed over my gums and tongue. It caused the bridge to not fit right, so he took the drill to reform the bridge. I left and called as soon as I got home, and arranged a return visit asap. Went back and they wanted to charge me $400 to fix what I already paid $200 for. I even went through the trouble of filing a formal appeal with Aetna, which was denied simply because of timing. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and felt very misleading from start to finish. After screening and initial evaluation, they're very thorough and very clear in recommendations. The staffers including front desk check-in are invariably friendly and efficient. It takes a bit longer since the dental students get everything checked over by the instructors. My impression was that the dental students just starting do the less complex tasks and the ones about to graduate get the more complex tasks

This is a big "ask" because I am sensitive and have side effects with many meds. I saw my cardiologist and changed medication, went through that adjustment period, and returned to him with the name of the new medication which he approved. Because of this I went forward with a laser treatment to remove the gum overgrowth. I paid several thousand out of pocket on top of insurance. The overgrowth returned a year later and my dentist sent me back for a follow up. Dr. Malik's response upon re-examining me was "Well of course it came back you are on a medication that causes gum overgrowth." When I informed him that I had changed it and he approved the change, he was confused at first, looked through my chart, and told me my current medication causes the same thing. While I know gum overgrowth can return, had I known the new medication had a risk of causing the this as well I wouldn't have paid several thousand to do the laser treatment. And I wouldn't gone through the extra cardiologist visit or the adjustment period in changing heart meds. I've thought about small claims court because it just sucked. Not an apology for the miscommunication. Nothing.Can you say medical gaslighting?

My insurance company (my employer also) called them and advised the amount due will be much less. They still said I need to pay what the pre- determination said which I did. They submitted the claim my amount due to them was way less than what they charged me and paid. I've called the office and they advised my refund will be processed the same day. I waited 3 days no refund. I called the office again they advised the manager will call me back still waiting called again the manager is not in today she will call back tomorrow and still waiting and still no refund. This seems to be a common practice with this office since the same issue happened with my daughter a year ago. They are very easy to take your payment but a pain to refund what they over charged you. Specially knowing they are overcharging you. I'm guessing they think people do not look at their EOB's and request refunds.
