From the start---Excellent communication, met our request for an SUV (also A+), Lori was waiting to meet/give assistance at baggage claim (no searching for someone at the curb, no lugging bags), and we had a safe, comfortable ride from TPA to Venice. The SUV was plush (just what you want after a long day of travel), luxurious interior, water was waiting for us inside, car temperature was perfect, the music was soft and calming (good choice), and it was smooth sailing all the way to our destination. My husband took a nap--and I finished watching a video, all in PERFECT COMFORT. Normally, we rent a car and make the drive, but not anymore! The driver, Amanda, initially showed up at 8:50. We were not ready yet, since she was an hour early, but invited her to come inside and have some coffee while she waited. She declined and said she would do another drop off. This made my mother nervous about our own timing, but Amanda assured my mother she would be back at our pick up time. At 10:28, after we had already called the office to find out where she was, she called to let us know she would pick us up in 23 minutes! My response, "I'm sorry but that's really unacceptable to be almost an hour late." She responded "you don't need to be rude about it!" Are you seriously calling me rude for telling you it's not acceptable to be an hour late for a timed pickup based on our boarding time? They offered $20 off as compensation. The total booking was $310 (round trip, plus gratuity), so essentially a 6% discount on our booking to show up an hour late. Terrible customer service! Ended up having to load up our van and drive ourselves to the cruise terminal.
