I loved my recent stop at Dom's Creamery! The unique flavors immediately had me intrigued & excited to give it a try. It's a very bright but comfortable space inside. I felt the need to order the flight with it being my first time, and the fact that I would have been happy ordering 14 or 15 of the 18 flavors. They also have a couple flavors of soft serve. When ordering everyone was very friendly and patient while I made my choices. I had the pistachio cherry chip, charcoal, fig & parm, banana Nutella, cherry mascarpone, and ube. The fig & parm was the favorite! Such strong unique flavors. The other star was the pistachio cherry chip with the large chunks in it, but every flavor was delicious. I also did not find it as heavy as some ice cream can be, which I personally appreciated. Also, the dish for the flight was super cute! I could go back regularly. It was very good ice cream, and a great experience!
I love Dom's not only for their ice cream, but for the entire experience! I have decision paralysis when it comes to ice cream but you cannot go wrong with any of their flavors! They also will happily let you sample any of their flavors which helped me narrow down my choice. I went with a seasonal flavor, the pistachio cranberry white chocolate, and may I say... YUM! It was a holiday in a cup. I loved all the textures and the base ice cream was so yummy and creamy. We enjoyed our treat at the front of the building which had the cutest decor set up and a dazzling christmas tree. No complaints here, a lovely treat to conclude our dinner!
I've had Dom's Coffee and it was great. I kept seeing that they had some unique ice cream flavors like parmesan and fig; I had to check them out. There is a parking lot in the back and it's next door to Dom's Coffee and Dom's Cheese. The decor is very simplistic, clean, and airy. I didn't see the Parmesan fig ice cream so I opted for two scoops on a waffle cone of the honey latte and apple pie. Those were very good! I love the unique flavor combos. I also wanted to try out the pumpkin and the honey vanilla, next time. The service was good when we went, there were plenty of seating. They had high chairs and it is handicap accessible. We brought in our baby stroller. Overall, definitely a quality place to get some ice cream! My family and I enjoyed their ice cream and can't wait to go back!
Made a trip to Dom's creamery this weekend after the perfect weather. The grilled cheese hot dog and the New York style hot dog was delicious! The perfect summer dinner. As for ice cream, I got the Cookie Monster ice cream sandwich and while it was good, it lacked deep flavor. You would think with the cookie, chocolate and ice cream you would expect a rich chocolate flavor but it was lacking and the cookie was a bit overcooked for my liking... My fiancé got a scoop of the pb&j ice cream and it was delicious and filled with flavor! I think I would stick to regular ice cream next time but overall a good warm summer night experience!
If I could create an award for cutest Ice Cream shop in CT, Dom's would win it hands down! This is a Very charming & happy space!!! While they're ice cream selection is more limited than most, they have all the essentials & it was not difficult to choose one. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and kind, patient too. The ice cream was of that creamy, homemade,premium quality that those of us in the Farmington Valley are accustomed to (so many farm stands & homemade ice cream shops to choose from out here). You will not be disappointed if you choose to give Dom's a try.
Came here during a road trip to pick up a car part for hubby's classic car. First off, place is really cute and is nicely laid out. They do not have many flavors but they have the typical flavors and about 7 seasonal specialties. They offered a basil lemon, which seemed very intriguing, a cherry mascarpone, which was delicious with very tart, cherries, butter, pecan, which was incredible with candied pecans and a buttery velvet cream base and a charcoal, which was a combination of toasted coconut and mocha. Absolutely decadent.! The combination of texture, flavor and creaminess was on point and makes this one of our top ice cream spots-why I don't see their name more advertised is beyond me but ice cream lovers, broaden your horizons and shoot on over to DC's, your taste buds will be enthralled!
Love, love, love Dom's Creamy. This adorable ice cream shop is worth the drive (we are 40mins away). Ice cream is made in-house, unique flavors, fresh made waffle cones and crepes... There are even hot dogs on the menu! The staff is always uber friendly and they allow you to sample the ice creams. Dom's also has a coffee shop and cheese shop in the house next door so be sure to treat yourself if you make a trip. A few of our favorite ice cream flavors are Charcoal, Honey Latte and Fig + Parm. The charcoal flavor tastes like chocolate and coconut, but the color is soft black. The Fig + Parm is the most interesting flavor of the bunch with pieces of Parmesan cheese, it's certainly a foodie adventure. Perfect balance of sweet and savory, it just works! Dom's is always rotating in seasonal and small batch flavors. They have soft serve, dairy free options, cute cakes and pup treats. I stay up to date by following Dom's on Facebook and Instagram for new flavors, products, and deals. Recently, they started a fun Name of the Day deal. Name of the day gets a free scoop of ice cream with identification. My name came up on a Saturday so I had to go get my scoop The shop is always decorated beautifully too. I love the decor, pastel colors, and accent walls. The few times I visited, they had an impressive balloon wall decorations. There is a lot of seating to hang out and to enjoy your ice cream. Put Dom's Creamery on your list of ice cream shops to try. It's in our top favorites.

Aside from having one scoop of each, my choice was one in a cup. The most unique flavor combination in one scoop? You bet ya! Fig & Parmesan Cheese in a Vanilla base. Highly recommend this place for ice cream! Not only does this flavor offer great flavors, it is also decorated beautifully inside! Perfect for photos or to celebrate an event! I got a flight which allows you to pick 6 flavors for $10! I wished I sampled some flavors before picking them but overall, highly recommend trying the charcoal and pistachio! The flavors do rotate as well! Service was great! There is a bathroom as well.
This is easily one of my new favorite ice cream spots! They have a mix of unique and classic flavors to choose from. I tried a scoop of the honey vanilla and chocolate, and my mom tried a scoop of the cherry and cookies&cream and we both thought each was so delicious. The service was great and the workers were so kind. The space inside is also extremely beautiful. There were murals on each wall (and even a large balloon arch on one) and plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. They even had a freezer with pre-packaged ice cream pints to take home.
Could this be my new favorite ice cream place in Connecticut, as in, even better than Arethusa? Dom's coffee is great, and now there's a Dom's creamery next door? The ice cream is extremely fresh tasting. It tastes like and has that soft texture as if it came straight from being churned. And bonus: servings are generous. I recommend particularly the cookies and cream, a sweet cream base with chocolate chip cookies. Also recommended: gingerbread, chocolate, and eggnog. Super nice service, plus a lovely and oh-so-instagrammable interior. I like the bright enclosed (and heated) front porch.
I had heard good things about Dom's Creamery and finally made the trek up over this past weekend. I came prepared with a cooler in hand - I live 30 minutes away and there was no way that I was going to let my ice cream melt before I got home. I will have to return to get a fresh scoop and a crepe so this review is for their hand packed ice cream. They have a variety of pints available - although not all the flavors that are in the ice cream case. I chose Honey Latte and Cookies and Cream to bring home with me. It might be the most expensive (to me) pint that I have ever bought but people pay a lot more for a lot less. When I got home I did the two spoon taste test - so as not to mar the results. The ice cream is well packed so you are definitely getting a pint here - and the flavor. WOW. Of the two I LOVED the Honey Latte (maybe because I got a piece of honey comb in my bite) The Cookies and Cream was also good but I was just expecting some more cookies - don't get me wrong - still good just not what I was expecting. My husband then proceeded to make a sundae out of the flavors but I did not want to waste the experience - so it was a bit of whipped cream and a cherry. It was really all it needed. I will most definitely be back to try some of their "fresh" flavors and a crepe. Probably make an afternoon of it as Dom's Coffee and Cheese shop are all next to each other. Stay tuned....

I ordered a birthday cake for a friend's son, and they incorporated four of his favorite flavors, which I wasn't sure would complement each other. However, Yanna (sp?) assured me that it would be delicious. The flavors were mint chocolate chip, Oreo cookie, coffee toffee, and vanilla. Every guest commented that it was the best ice cream birthday cake they had ever tasted. The birthday boy was delighted! His mom said, "How am I ever going to go back to Dairy Queen?" Well, if you're in CT, you shouldn't. Dom's Creamery is a Goldilocks establishment. Enjoy!!! read more
My cousin lives in Simsbury and we wanted something to brighten our raining day a bit, so what better way to do it than to go get ice cream. I brought my daughter and my niece and as soon as we walked in the shop, it was so cute! The girls at the counter were so friendly. We were overwhelmed and undecided with all the different varieties of delicious homemade ice creams. But, they offered taste testers and there were so many cool unique flavors which made it even harder to figure out which one to get! Thankfully they suggested the 6 mini scoop ice cream flight. We were so happy we had this option making it so much easier and so we got to try a bunch of different flavors including, Ube, biscoff, honey latte, pistachio, Oreo, and honey vanilla. My niece was also super excited about the cotton cloud cone,made with either pink or blue cotton candy and a scoop of ice cream on top. She love it! I'm also happy because the space inside was big enough that they have a foosball table, seating and even a little porch with glass windows and tables, so on a rainy day, we were all able to enjoy the ice cream indoors as well. This ice cream was so creamy and fresh, I can't wait to come back and try the others! I also need to try their cheese and coffee shop next door too! read more

We really enjoyed this spot, we were in town and decided to try it and it's one of the better spots in CT. Flavors rotate and they let you try them. There's a lot of seating inside and cute decor. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want solid ice cream. read more

"I'm your ice cream man Stop me when I'm passin' by See all my flavors are guaranteed to satisfy" (Van Halen) I've been enjoying ice cream since Dwight D. Eisenhower was in the White House, so suffice it to see I've run across many, many different flavors of ice cream. But today I saw, tasted and enjoyed a new one. Ladies and Gentlemen -welcome to Fig Parm, maybe the unlikeliest combination of ingredients since someone plopped pineapple pieces on a pizza. As one might suspect, Fig Parm is fig jam and Parmesan cheese chunks in a vanilla based ice cream, and lemme tell ya, buddy - it sure worked well. Dom's Creamery is a gorgeous space full of interesting rooms, seating nooks, and outdoor space. My regular sized cone ran $5.50 and I have to say it was quite a bit smaller than what you will find at the many ice cream competitors in the area. Chocolate sprinkles are $1, but the volume of sprinkles for the add-on was laughably minuscule, so much that the cashier decided not to charge us for them when we questioned her. In all fairness to Dom's, the ice cream quality was excellent. read more

Dom's Instagram account has been haunting me since before they opened and then..... they revealed an ice cream taco. It was officially time for a visit! Came here after a hike around reservoir#6 (to put back on all the calories we burned, naturally). It's 5 minutes from there so perfect for a cooldown. Hubs had a scoop of pb&j and a scoop of mint chocolate chip, while I obviously had the ice cream taco! The pb&j had excellent flavor and was def our favorite! The taco was filled with vanilla bean ice cream on a waffle shell coated in thick chocolate and chocolate sprinkles. This is one hefty dessert so plan ahead. It's $10 and is easily shareable. Well worth trying, really delicious! The shop is very cute and staff is friendly. Put it on your list! read more

You know those people who are just good at everything? That's Dom's. As if they weren't good at coffee (and trust me, they are), they decide to open up an ice cream place too (that also doubles as a creperie). And they've got a winner on their hands. Terrific small batch ice cream with classic flavors and new ones too. Fig parm? Yep. Surprisingly good. Mint chip? Even better. Charcoal? Even more surprisingly good. Great service. The Dom's name has been synonymous with high quality coffee (and for some reason -- cheese) in the Valley for some time. Dom's has decided to put its name on the line with a seemingly unrelated new venture. Ice cream. Dom's Creamery opened next door to the coffee shop in Avon this weekend. I visited for the first Sunday afternoon. I ordered a double scoop of Berry Sorbet and PB&J in a large waffle cone. It tasted great. They nailed the Peanut Butter flavor, and the Berry Sorbet was the best kind of sweet tart. It was the dessert PB&J sandwich you didn't know you needed. Big swing by Dom's for branching out into ice cream. And big hit! 5 Stars read more

Just like all the other businesses that fall under the Dom's company umbrella, this one doesn't disappoint. The inside is beautifully decorated in pastels and gold. The employees are always smiling and urge you to taste flavors before ordering. They have some unique flavors such as fig which we tasted and liked. The portions are generous. All the typical options are available (cone vs cup in various sizes). We had their dulce de leche and I believe it was peanut butter and jelly. Fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. They sell some Sugarfina candy on the side and I believe they also do ice cream sandwiches. Definitely worth stopping in after a visit at Dom's Coffee. read more

My mom and I stopped into Dom's Creamery to get their limited-time maple soft serve, and it was fantastic! It wasn't an overpowering or artificial maple - it reminded us a lot of maple candy. The girls were friendly at the counter, and I just love the vibe here so much! Next time I want to come back and try one of their unique flavors like fig and parm! read more

Dom's is a gourmet café, specialty cheese and charcuterie shop, and European-style creamery that opened in Avon, Connecticut in May 2015. It was founded by husband and wife Andrius Plankis and Asta Plankiene. The couple are Lithuanian immigrants who came to Connecticut to be closer to Plankis' mother. They then decided to open their own European-style café and name it after their son Dominic. In the United States, most people purchase coffee from a coffeehouse and then drink it on the go. In Europe, most people drink their coffee in the coffeehouse and engage in friendly conversations with the other customers. Following the success of their gourmet coffee drinks, Plankis and Plankiene opened Dom's Cheese in the same building in December 2017. This new division of the business focused on selling high-end cheeses and other fancy ingredients used for making charcuterie. The latest division, Dom's Creamery, opened next door to the café in May 2022 and focuses on gourmet ice cream. I was recently invited to attend an "Influencer Night" at the three Dom's businesses. First, all attendees convened at the café where we were treated to an enormous charcuterie spread that featured fresh fruit, artisanal cheeses, crackers, baked goods, and finger food such as their Salmon Croissant and Egg Salad Croissant. For drinks, attendees had a choice of Espresso Martini, Bailey's Hot Chocolate or Spiked Apple Cider. I chose the latter and it really hit the spot. After the first hour, everyone walked over to the creamery where we could sample any ice cream flavor. I ended up getting two of my favorites: a scoop of Pumpkin Pie and a scoop of Mint Chip in a Waffle Cup. It was excellent! We also were able to sample some delicious hors d'oeuvres such as their Caprese Crepes and Cuban Sandwich Crepes. This was an event for the ages! I've been wanting to check out Dom's Creamery for a while. Today was finally the day my friend and I decided to meet here, for some of this delicious ice cream. Right when we walked in, there was so much to see that's so easy on the eyes. Their decor is just so lovely, with pastel colored everything everywhere. There's dry flowers in little vases. This place is begging to have it's pictures taken. Now on to the ice cream. This was a difficult decision to make. There is charcoal flavored ice cream here, if that doesn't tell you unique, maybe Fig & Parm will! There were so many unique flavors. I couldn't decide between banana and PB & J. We probably stood in front of all the flavors and studied them for 5 minutes. I finally settled on one scoop of PB & J. This was $6.00, and it came in an actual glass ice cream dish. This flavor was perfection! It was so delicious! The balance between the peanut butter and strawberry jelly was just right! There were a few pieces of strawberry in my scoop. The PB & J had just the right amount of sweetness! We enjoyed our tasty ice cream while enjoying the beautiful interior. The only criticism I can offer is that the music is too loud. It was difficult to hear each other. I can't wait to be back and try charcoal and banana, maybe together?! read more

such amazing ice cream. Silky, creamy, dense and delicious! Displayed like a gelato store in Italy and it adds a great flare. Super cute indoor area and outdoor seating as well. Waffle cones are fresh and flavorful. I tried cherry mascarpone and there was large chunks of tangy cherries which matched perfectly against the creamy mascarpone. Bought a pint of honey latte and Pb&j and the Pb&j is by far the best ice cream ever. It tastes legit like a Pb&j sandwich. The honey latte was also amazing. A strong coffee flavor w ripples of a thick honey caramel. I consider myself an ice cream enthusiast if not an expert and I could call this my favorite ice cream. read more

Now I have a new favorite for ice creams. You can take a flight, which is six scoops of ice cream. That is a nice way to try a lot of flavors. Fig Parmesan was an innovative flavor. I was a bit apprehensive, but this flavor ended being my favorite here. Pistachio and Honey latte were my other favorites. Banana and Dulce de letche were good flavors as well. I went for charcoal just to try. It was ok. The flavor was kind of neutral. There used to be charcoal flavor in NYC, but the city banned it before I could try, for health concerns. read more
A place with an ice cream flight? Count me in! The ice cream here is more creamy like a soft serve or gelato rather than a hard ice cream. They have unique flavors! My favorite is the charcoal flavor. I hope to one day make it for a crepe which I think they stop serving mid day. read more
Had to try the new ice cream shop and I wasn't disappointed. All the basic flavors and a few funky ones like Fig Parm to choose from. Pricing was reasonable and the quality was high along with a fun vibe inside. Nice addition to Rt 44 and dessert options in the area. Will definitely be back soon. read more

First trip to this new business. First, it's decorated is such a beautiful cheery way! So inviting with lots of fun spaces. Start is great. Excited to sell ice cream offering us samples. Now, to the good stuff, the ice cream is so creamy and has such unique flavors. My son and I shared a flight which is six flavors. The staff member told me peanut butter abs jelly was her favorite flavor and it is amazing. It tastes just like a sandwich without bread. Next the pistachio. Yum! Such a unique flavor with such rich pistachio flavor. The strawberry was placed with flavor and such a summer treat. Coffee flavor is my go to and this one was particularly rich. Too rich for my son although I enjoyed it. Honey vanilla was another that was suggested. It wasn't my favorite but popular among guests. Last is cookies and cream and old school go to that didn't disappoint. Fun place for families! read more

The decor is stunning inside. It's a nice little shop that opened next to their cheese shop and coffee shop. The ice cream flavors are great and everything is all made in house. Ube and honey latte were the best! It hits all the cravings you can have for ice cream! read more

Absolutely loved Dom's creamery. They had so many yummy and interesting flavors to choose from, and I was so impressed by the dairy free options. I tried the cinnamon oat flavor (SO good) and the cookies and cream (house made chocolate chip cookies in a vanilla base) in a homemade waffle cone. Their crepes and homemade waffles were also incredible. You really can't go wrong with anything you get. Would definitely go back to Dom's for more ice cream and yummy treats. read more

Dom's Creamery nails two things-- unique flavors, and ambiance! They update their flavors pretty frequently and try to include at least 3 or 4 very out-of-the-ordinary flavors to keep things fresh-- also, they always have a really pretty balloon wall and fun wallpapers that makes the bright atmosphere charming and photo worthy! read more
