Finally got a chance to go to Noci !!! They have the most amazing gelato in Wethersfield! And located right on main street in old Wethersfield! It's the perfect place to walk around and see the scarecrows and then enjoy a nice scoop of ice cream or gelato ! The staff was so sweet and lovely ! we got the espresso and the triamisu gelato ! Noci is a beautifully decorated, narrow gelato gem in Old Wethersfield. It is all small batch and you can taste the freshness. The often unique flavors are always loaded with mixins, offering incredible and satisfying textural contrast to the ultra smooth and creamy gelato itself. Recently I have tasted biscoff crumble, blueberry white chocolate, deconstructed blueberry crumble, and espresso mocha crunch. Each was delicious, but if I were to call out a specific highlight at this moment, I might say the blueberry white chocolate. I appreciated that the white chocolate was in the form of large shards mixed in and not simply a flavor added to the base. That often leads to a subtlety that renders it nearly, if not entirely, undetectable. Their lemon basil sorbetto was also delicious and extremely bright/refreshing. I like to order a waffle cone on top as well, which I love versus facing the rush of leaking all over your hand when acting as the vessel. Service is always friendly and they're happy to let you taste before ordering. Plenty of outdoor seating is available when the weather cooperates! Inside there isn't any place to eat, so just keep that in mind. This is a wonderful spot I would highly recommend. read more

Best gelato spot ever!!! Omg first of all I'm obsessed with old Wethersfield village. And I'm totally even more obsessed with this beautiful Italian gelato store. It's so aesthetically pleasing with the bright yellow umbrellas outside and the cute flowers everywhere, ugh it's so eye catching and reminds me of Italy. I totally get if I weee rolling in late, but to advertise daily flavors and then be sold out mid-day is poor planning and organization. I liked both, but I remember being floored by the lemon basil. You really picked up the brightness and the basil flavor. Not sure why I just found out about this place (I guess I never drove/walked down that far in old Wethersfield) but I've definitely been missing out and now have to make up for lost time. I came on a Friday night, not too busy however, it was a bit cold and rainy out. The gelato is homemade. They have gluten free and vegan options as well! I sampled 3 flavors and every single one was sooo good it was hard to decide which I wanted. I wound up getting a scoop of the chocolate cherry. It is a very cute spot. This was my first time visiting, and even though I don't go out as much as I used to, getting into Yelp reviews and sharing these experiences with a close friend has made it even more enjoyable! What first caught my attention were two adorable golden retrievers giving me the cutest puppy-dog eyes. I didn't realize at first that Antonio, the shop owner, was chatting with the dogs' owner nearby. He noticed my reaction and greeted us with the warmest smile. My friend and I struck up a conversation with him, introducing ourselves, and learned that he owns the shop with his wife. Antonio shared a bit of his background and vision for the business, then kindly invited us to sample some of his sweets before I bought a freshly made cannoli filled with sheep's milk and topped with chocolate chips. I also tried their strawberry jam with graham, which was exceptional. I had such a lovely time with my friend, and I'm so glad we decided to stop in. This spot surprised me in the best way! We stopped by after dinner on Main Street wanting a sweet treat. They are very small inside and it's hard maneuvering from "ordering" to "paying" if you're with a group. As someone who has never been to Italy, I felt like I was instantly transported. The gelato was even stored correctly showing this is legit gelato and not some ice cream imitation. The gelato itself was perfectly creamy and not very sweet. I ordered the pistachio and was surprised by how savory it was - nothing like the pistachio ice cream you normally get at a scoop shop. They had lots of other authentic flavors like Hazelnut and Biscoff I can't wait to try next time! If you're looking to reminisce about your last trip to Italy, this is the place. The owners have gone through great lengths to learn the best gelato-making practices and it shows. The texture and creaminess is spot on and I'd honestly say it rivals the gelato of virtually every city I have ever visited in Europe. I tried the pistachio because my favorite gelato flavor, nocciola, was sold out (they were making more but I didn't want to hold up the line!) Again, super creamy. The pistachio flavor was subtle, and I definitely appreciate that they aren't using artificial dyes. Price point is elevated, but this is also the only gelato place in our area. The shop has a luxurious and eclectic vibe, blending the opulence of Versailles with the artistic charm of Anthropologie. It's stunning, but in a laid back way. The staff were all super friendly too. I've heard so much about the new Noci Gelato in Old Wethersfield, so my friend and I went to check them out last night. Ironically, I find it's interestingly located basically next to The Main Street Creamery. This place is super, super cute the way it's set up. The yellow umbrellas, and the little plants on the table are such a romantic first date vibe. The inside is tiny, only allowing three customers at a time to place orders. There is no indoor seating. The young servers were happily distributing samples upon request in golden spoons. I got the Giandula flavor. I didn't know what this was. The server said it's just like Nutella. My friend got the Pumpkin flavor. These cups were tiny and they were $6 each. Now call me nitpicky, but the presentation wasn't there at all. When I received my cup it looked as if someone already had a few helpings. There wasn't any of that pretty scoop effect, in my $6 cup. It was a bit unprofessional if you ask me. I'm not saying anyone had any, because I watched them pack my cup, but it certainly looked that way. Now, how did it taste? It did taste like Nutella, but a bit watered down. I've had much more authentic Nutella flavors at other places. I'm sorry, but Noci Gelato was a let down for me. I understand gelato is typically more expensive than ice cream. This flavor was super weak. My friend enjoyed her pumpkin gelato, but also agreed with me on their "lazy" and overpriced presentation. Very bizarre flavors and ridiculously expensive. Seems someone was smoking a reefer to come up with these flavors. The presentation for the price is horrible. They slap in some gelato and it drools all over the cup. Their 2 scoop cup with whip cream is almost $12. That's a huge amount to pay for basically ice milk. Seems like gluten free is their only option. If you're a regular joe and crave some great tasting ice cream without a second mortgage go to the the Glastonbury farm. Amazing chocolate vegan gelato. The Whipped cream tasted extra rich and delicious. They have a special chocolate fountain that circulates the chocolate from the counter to a spout for smooth drizzling. Even the sprinkles are a fancy brand. This sweet gelato shop recently opened on Main Street in Wethersfield. The place was already buzzing at noon during Porchfest, but the servers were so friendly and line moved quickly! I thought that the texture of the gelato was perfectly creamy and smooth. The pistachio had a nice bold roasted flavor, but in my opinion could have been sweeter. The Biscoff inclusions in the Biscoff flavor were terrific as expected, but I found the ratio of the cookies to cream to be too small, making the whole bite take on a single-note, sweet cream sweetness. I really wanted to like this place, we went on a Thursday and the line was long. It's a small shop so you have to squeeze by the long line of people to get out. There were two young ladies working and it wasn't very efficient, one of them was doing everything while the other was wiping down the tops of the containers of ice cream. I asked the employee what the "crunch" was in the gelato and she said I don't know I think it's nuts ? I ordered two scoops for myself and two scoops for my husband and the total was 27.00 !!!! I know gelato is more expensive than ice cream but there was no wow factor. I could have gone to stew Leonard and got better ice cream for way less. I will NOT be returning. I've been to Italy several times and the gelato was amazing.. not the case at Noci gelato unfortunately. read more

We were just in Italy last month, and this place is as authentic as it gets for gelato in the US. Each flavor is homemade with real ingredients, i.e. pieces of pistachio in the pistachio. I believe the menu changes daily, but I had the pistachio and Ferrero Rocher. Pistachio gelato in Italy is very different than I ever had in the US previously, but this one was just as good. However, the Ferrero Rocher was my favorite, it was so good. My wife had the cherry and she really enjoyed that as well. The place is very small inside, (also authentic to Italy), but the line moved quick and there were a good amount of outdoor seating. It is a little pricey, but it's worth it for real gelato.
