I wanted to update the review on this place because even after the Covid pandemic they are still the best pizza place in the area. they still give you a large portion of food and at reasonable price. the veal Parm is so tender and melts in your mouth. I also had their shrimp fra Diavolo spicy with plenty of large shrimp, so good. I usually order their pizza delivered and it has always arrived on time and still piping hot. The regular slices that we got from Dominick's were a disgusting gloppy embarrassment to pizza!! The slices were an oily mess of different looking cheeses on the same slice. Seasoning and no seasoning? The crust looked more like wonton wrappers except at the top, which we noticed because the undercooked/cooked cheese slid off of the pizza and onto the paper plate...the sauce tasted like jar sauce. We attempted to taste pieces of it, hopefully we don't get food poisoning. The only good thing, after we took a few bites - we threw it all in the garbage. You'd think this was an Olive Garden with good food, because when you're here you're family! Jesus (owner and best hair on 35th street) is so warm and welcoming I asked him to be the Godfather of my unborn but future child (taking applications for a new wife after the Rikos incident!) The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you want to keep coming back. I've used Domenick's for a plethora of events (birthdays, festivus, the day the eagles were eliminated from the NFL playoffs) and his hot food is more on point than Mark Wahlberg in the 2007 critically acclaimed film Shooter. Pinwheels and Rolls so big I could feed a third world country with a small box. Desserts must be delivered from Mars because they're out of this world!! Would give 6 stars if they let me. We have ordered twice from this Italian restaurant so far. Well we ordered delivery and both times- the food arrived early which was obviously great! Because we were hungry! Salad that comes with the dinner is free but it's also not the greatest. It's just lettuce and tomatoes if your lucky. Just basic iceberg lettuce. And dressing of your choice. The ravioli parm/ baked ravioli was good. The portions are good sizes. When ordering an entree like chicken Francese.. make sure you are specific with the sauce on the pasta that comes with it. I wasn't specific and I got marinara sauce on my pasta w chicken Francese. Weird Also the bread that comes with is like little mini hamburger slider buns- I would think they would come with garlic or more of a hard crust Italian bread. I mean we're in NY.... AMIRITE??? I didn't want to do this but they just insulted me. I used to love this place and would go there with my son sometimes two days in a row. Sometimes we'd order from them 3 days in a row. About a month or so ago we ordered from them for the second day straight that week. My daughter wanted a grilled cheese since she had pizza the day before. They sent the grilled cheese using the end pieces of the loaf of bread to make her sandwich. I was so insulted. I didn't mind paying $8 for grilled cheese but I didn't expect them to send that. I wasn't going to feed that for my daughter so I fired up the griddle while everyone else was eating and made her a real grilled cheese. I called them because it bothered me so much. The man who answered apologized and put a note aside to give us credit. We ordered many times since but I never bothered them for the credit. Today we figured we'd order two plain pies with extra cheese. You have to order extra cheese with their pies because they put so little. However, to their credit they use 100% Gran'de Cheese, the best and most expensive pizzeria cheese available. I don't mind paying $4 extra just to have a normal portion because the cheese is that good. Well, the pizza came, one pie was delicious and the other was skimpy and dry because they didn't put the extra cheese. I already let them slide and never claimed the $8 credit for that insulting grilled cheese, I wasn't gonna let this go. I don't mind paying $4 for extra cheese, but it needs to be on the pizza if you charge me. We ordered through the Slice App. We let them know that this Pizzeria was one of the best but they made a mistake and forgot the extra cheese and would like to have credit for the $4, even if it was just a credit because we order from them at least twice a week anyway. 5 minutes later, Slice messages us back and states that the Pizzeria sent two extra cheese pies. This is the second time they insulted me! Insinuating that I would lie about extra cheese on the pie. They put so little cheese on their pies that you CAN NOT mistaken whether or not there's extra cheese. My kids and I ate the dry skimpy pie. Then when we opened the second pie it was obvious they either forgot one or delivered the other to someone else! We easily spend $100 a week on pizza.
