Absolutely divine Palestinian fare! We got the Chicken Musakhan, Garlic Steak Shawarma, and Falafel. Although the Chicken Musakhan was dripping with oil, it was a solid choice. Garlic Steak Shawarma was hella good. Falafel texture was great and its flavor was amplified by the three sauces they gave (Tzatziki, TMG BBQ [modified BBQ], and AMBA [modified honey mustard], if I remember correctly). The sauces were definitely another highlight of the meal, they have 8 total! I asked for another Garlic sauce and to sample the Cilantro Avocado one. They gave them for free. All the ones we tried were awesome. Before we left we figured we would try their Pistachio Baklava too. Definitely the best I've had so far, with prominent pistachio and rose water flavors but oh so sweet haha. If we lived near, we would for sure be regulars! read more

This place makes the freshest fried falafel balls that I have ever had. The inside of each ball is soft and bright green, and it is perfectly seasoned, too. The outside of the falafel is crispy from start to finish, and it is served nice and hot. The cold, sweet hibiscus tea reminds me of sorrel, the Caribbean drink that is part of Christmas tradition, only that the hibiscus tea had less sugar and spice. Hibiscus tea is a Palestinian staple, said the young lady behind the counter who took my order. She also said that the restaurant makes Palestinian street food, and she encouraged me to come back and try other menu selections. Okay so I've been back here quite a few times and here's what I've been able to tell: Their consistency is not the greatest. We've had the halloumi brought out after it's been in the fryer a bit too long, and the falafel tasted heavier on the onions one time. That being said I don't believe it's worth crossing off your bucket list based off of this- maybe just be ready to advocate a bit. TIP 1: not everything is listed on the menus on top of the counter such as the shawarma wrap. You have to go online and really look at the menu to see everything they have to offer. TIP 2: Always look at your receipt and have them review what you are paying for- I don't believe they do it purposely, but sometimes we've been charged for a previous order they had I'm guessing because they don't refresh the system or something. We've had to get money refunded from these added items. The food is still delicious and this is a local family owned business which I try to understand in the midst of some of the mistakes. I do hope there is more consistency in the future though. What I can say is the falafel is always moist, the halloumi cheese tastes great, the hummus is delicious, and the fries are nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. This is stuff I always come back to. This time around, we tried: -Garlic Chicken Shawarma- WOW. This was the first time I personally had it, although my husband has had it every time he is here. This was AMAZING. I REALLY enjoy this and it is moist all throughout with the added garlic sauce, tomato, cucumber, cabbage, etc. The whole sandwich is a MUST and I highly recommend this is what you have the first time you're there + the falafel, halloumi and fries. -Nashville Chicken Sandwich- This was a good chicken sandwich- it was fresh and tasteful, however it was dry. They ask if you want to make it spicy which I went for, unfortunately I didn't realize it's a dry spice they add. The dry spice was a lot and it quickly overpowered the sauce inside the sandwich where it was dry every bite. I would recommend adding more sauce to compensate for the dry spice. Otherwise the chicken itself was delicious, fresh, and a bit spicy itself which was nice. Just a tad oily. I would definitely come back here specifically for the Garlic Chicken Shawarma, falafel, halloumi, and hummus. SUPPORT A LOCAL BUSINESS! read more

I can't blame it on "having an off night" because it's pretty much just an assembly line of food, I wasn't seeing any real cooks here. Please don't lynch me for this review but I'm not a fan of this place at all. I ordered a build your own platter with falafel and baba ganoush. The falafel was dry. I would have probably needed 3 containers of the sauce to be able to eat it and don't even get me started on that stuff they call baba ganoush, I think they got that completely wrong. It is supposed to be roasted eggplant with garlic, lemon juice and tahini right? What they have there tastes like wallpaper paste. The stars are for the bread, it was good. Staff is fairly low key but friendly (I believe they were the owners). Ambiance is really nice for a low key place. I didn't like that the menu boards didn't have prices, but they do have a self service kiosk with prices. The food was excellent!. I'm a tough critic when it comes to Mediterranean food, and this place is on point. Don't come expecting store bought hummus, theirs it's how it's supposed to be. Visited Taheni Mediterranean grill for the first time today and I gave it a solid 8/10. I started with their lamb platter which you can modify and choose anything you want! Their hummus was creamy and delicious and plenty! With the platter you're allowed to choose from many varieties of food that'll go with your platter rather you rather white rice instead of Bulgar rice (which I higly recommend) all the way to their hummus and other sort of options. I also go their Zatar fries which were crispy and crunchy with rich seasonings. My family go the chicken platter with their creamy house sauce and the house salad, the salad was good but it just needed some authentic Mediterranean dressing and the house sauce was creamy but wasn't to my liking haha but it was good! After eating my platter I totally forgot about my grilled cheese burger which was outstanding by the way! The meat patty was cooked to perfection and the two buns that are grilled cheese were delicious! Service was fantastic! Thank you to the sister that helped us choose and order from the kiosk, our food did not take long at all! The ambiance is your typical take out and dine in experience! Went to check the place out on a recent Friday night for a quick Mediterranean fix. Located right on Montauk Highway, easy parking spots on the right side of the restaurant. Place is set up pretty much as a take out joint, but was clean, hipster and all six tables were empty. We didn't call in our order, but there was a big simple menu above the counter for us to ponder. Four folks were busy whipping up orders in the kitchen. They have four kiosks set up and ordering and paying was easy at one of the robots they have set up. She ordered the falafel platter and I ordered a grilled lamb platter . We both ordered babaganoush as sides. Her falafel was very good, but really nothing else was that great. Side salad was forgettable and babaganoush was soupy and bland. If I go again, I have a feeling a falafel pita sandwich would be your best bet. read more

If people understood the cuisine they were getting here, I think it would filter out all of the negative reviews. Middle Eastern Mediterranean is much different than Greek Mediterranean. This place is delicious! You can tell everything is authentic - a long standing family recipe kind of place. The best red pepper hummus! I got a chicken platter and it was great. The only recommendation I have is that I wish the house salad had a vinaigrette in it, that is the best part of middle eastern type salads! The portions were good, and the food was tasty. I had split a Lamb Pita, and had some Zaatar French Fries. I also tasted the Falafel Pita and Chicken Pita. The fries had a lot of spices on them and a kick to them, they were different, we enjoyed them. The Falafel was very good, as was the Lamb. I enjoyed the Chicken, however my wife doesn't really like Curry and it seemed to have been seasoned with it. AWFUL! I attempted to eat there today. Walked in, place is completely empty - didn't look like anyone was working. Finally, a women SLOWLY approaches from the back and from 60 feet away mumbles at me. I can't hear her. "Excuse me?" I say. She looks thoroughly annoyed that she has to take 5 more steps (still a good 40-50 feet away) and asks if I'm paying by cash or card. When I tell her card - she points to a self-serve kiosk and walks away into the back without saying another word. Rude -- but I'd heard the food was good, so still willing to try. I place an order on the kiosk (good thing I didn't have any questions) -- the kiosk asks for a phone number which I type in, but it will not accept payment despite a credit card reader right on the side of the thing. A message pops up, "WE SENT YOU A LINK TO YOUR PHONE. PLEASE USE THAT LINK TO PAY AND WE WILL TEXT YOU WHEN ORDER IS READY." Because I live so close to the location and wasn't planning on being gone for more than 20 mins, I didn't even have my phone on me -- so there I was - unable to pay and completely ignored with nobody who cared enough to talk to me about the issue, so I left. read more

We just ordered and I'm craving it all over again. I've also had the chicken and rice dinners and the flavors are quite good.
