A person could do a pizza tour on Hicksville Rd -and Broadway in Massapequa from North to South on both and score amazing pizza in a at least 6 places. This one is hard to beat. But competition is stiff. NYC has ceded best pizza long ago. Too many touristy places - its worse than hit or miss in the city. Once you hit Queens and head east things start to improve where there is a good slice to be had on on every main Street. This is the Original Phils and arguably the best of the Phils - and has the traffic and demand from locals for what they are famous for - which is sooooo many choices of types of slices. The ready to go varieties are so many - like the ones in the busy city places - But with all the best ingredients and it makes a Big difference. This place has been around for over 40 years. They have excellent food and very good pizza and the service is very very good as well. I don't live in New York anymore and I miss going here but we went here in December to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college. I accidentally deleted my photos from that night, but the escarole soup is a must try. They also make a very good ziti and broccoli in garlic and oil. read more

We ordered $80 worth of food. We were told 20 minutes. The food was picked up on time. The food was cold and the meatballs were burnt. We were told our fault we arrived too late. We have been frequent customers and the guy who answered was beyond rude. Everything was cold including the ravioli and the garlic bread. We were also told it was cold outside. read more

Our pies were over 30 minutes late without a courtesy phone call/ explanation.The pies were cold. The margarita had 5 inches of crust for some reason and tasteless blobs of sauce . The cheese on the vegetable slice was so coagulated from sitting around apparently for a half hour. read more

Best on Long Island? If not, in an area known for real good , it is up there among the best. Have been here several times and they always rank. Pizza isn't greasy, doughy, etc... Just real good. They are more than pizza but pizza is the big thing here. Lots of free parking in the shopping center it's in. Highly, highly recommend. read more

The crust was soggy, they were cheap with the cheese and pepperoni and the pepperoni tasted like they'd been sitting out too long. The food and the variety of pizza is very good. ONLY BAD THING... They're skimpy on their Sicilian slices. Compared to any other pizzeria or Italian restaurant their Sicilian, Grandma and Grandpa slices are half the size of everyone else. They aren't square. They are rectangle. Long and skinny. Stopped here for a late lunch on the recommendation of friends who live in the area and really like the pizza here. That's quite a tribute to the pizza since the area seems to have a pizza place on every block or so. Our server was an extremely pleasant lady. So we've eaten at Phil's Pizzeria for many years . Their prices have gone way up . We get charged $4.19 for seltzer . Their food has gone down in quality also . Tonight we ordered a pizza with onions and black olives and paid $35.00. WHAT ???? $35.00 ? When we went to pick the pizza up we waited 30 minutes because they could not find it . So we waited for them to make a new one . Well guess what, they then found our original pizza . So we got a new one made and then they found our original one . We have given them a lot of chance's but we are now done . $35.00 for a pizza without any meat just some onions and olives and a waste of our time waiting because of their incompetence. We have had a relationship with Frank who is the owners son and his fiancé, Kayla for many years . We won't be treated like this as a good customer anymore . read more

I've had the grandma slice, the regular slice, the Caesar slice, the pepperoni pinwheel, the eggplant parm sandwich, the chicken parm sandwich, and just recently tried the chicken francese. The slices are all good but what I didn't like about the Caesar slice is that it is drenched in dressing. The eggplant in the sandwich was thinly sliced and definitely one of the best ones I've had. The chicken francese was really good but had a bit too much lemon. Overall, this restaurant has awesome food for a good price and definitely worth checking out. read more
