It's just nice to have a truly local place among the selections here. They're friendly ! It can get loud so we avoid certain nights like trivia, etc but it's a fun place for that too, it seems. Just regular plain American sandwiches, not a big menu but enough. read more

Such a cool spot! They had bar seating and a small dining area. My fiancé and I went for their happy hour and boneless wing special and we were extremely satisfied! The wings are juicy, saucy, and cooked well! They also have varying food specials on different days of the week! I got an espresso martini as well and it was delicious! I was in the neck of the woods here do to my temporary landlord. He recommended this place for their hatch chili cheese dip and good beer. It's a small family run bar and everyone knows each other here. But food, service and hospitality were amazing. Felt like I too knew everyone. I tried Dominic's for the first time last night specifically for the trivia night. Trivia was awesome-Talk Nerdy to me does a great job! Dominic's is very small so get their early! We managed to grab the last table and for as busy as it was the server was attentive and we were never without for too long. I ordered the chicken strips and fries-loved the fries, disliked the strips. They were burnt and tasted like dirty fryer. Fries were heart-reminded me of chik fil a fries. My husband got the southwest eggrolls and they were just okay. Our neighbor had the hummus platter and that was by far the best item! We plan on going back for trivia (Wednesday's at 7)but may just stick to drinks while we are there. read more

Went here for the first time for a late night bite. Their veggie burger was top notch and the fried pickles were delish and our server was so sweet and personable. Just wanted to say that I've been back a few times and the food now seems mostly frozen including the chicken tenders. The night we go is a busy night with trivia so maybe they felt they couldn't do fresh but it is a bit of a disappointment. The booths are super worn and the tables on the smaller ones are way too tiny for a 4 top. Service is still great though. read more

James and Brittany opened the restaurant after a previous restaurant failed. Big gamble, but the stars aligned just right and it has become a neighborhood staple. The food is fabulous across the menu. Their fried pickles have a seasoning that stands out from all the rest. We frequent weekly. read more

First off I wanna say I regret not taking pictures of the amazing spread of food I sampled this afternoon. Not a bad item on the menu. But the burger on special that day really stole my heart and sits gently in my stomach as we speak (like a peaceful infant dreaming innocent bliss tucked under a blanket of tender love from parental influences). By far the best burger in a 7 mile radius and the cucumber salad is highly underrated (I order without goat cheese...go on, judge me, I'm from Boston and you won't offend me (pahk the cah, lobstah, bumpah2bumpah traffic, etc.)). I highly recommend and don't skip just because it's across the street from Walmart and the last business that was there didn't have the best reputation for anything. P.S. Tell Carson to smile less...it's a tad creepy (granted it's the month of Halloween). Also shoutout to the tasteful decorations. And one more final shoutout to James who is the owner, always there, and has a great beard. But don't think I'm some regular that's just writing all this because I'm their friend. The food was very good! We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer and it was amazing, along with one of the better patty melt sandwiches that I have tasted in a while! Don't bother with this place. While the burger was 'OK', there's a lot left to be desired for service and atmosphere. I completely understand it's a bar. I have been in many a bar for anything from drinks to food to...well, just about anything. This place was short on customer service for sure. Maybe it was because we weren't part of their regulars or preferred crowd, but they really fell short. As the visit went on, for no reason beknowst to us, we felt less and less welcomed in their establishment. Right away, the bartender let us know he was short staffed and had to attend to the bar and the floor at the same time. We let him know we understood and it wasn't a problem. We even offered to go up to the bar to place our order. Things started out ok. However, my first warning shot should have been how sticky the floors were. If it wasn't for being able to see with my own eyes that this wasn't the case... I'd swore that the floor was covered with bubblegum! Nonetheless, it's a bar and it wasn't really a viable issue. However the first real warning came in the form of the rancid smell in the bathroom. Such a disgusting bathroom is a true sign of a nasty, unfit restaurant establishment. It reeked of old urine and was quite visibly filthy. Once lunch came, we'd asked for some mayo. After those floors and the bathroom, my brain told me i was taking a chance with asking for such a condiment. Regardless, we took a chance and asked for it. Understanding they were shorthanded, we weren't expecting instance service. However, we also weren't expecting the guy to go the next table over and commence to having a 10 minute conversation with another patron about spicy drinks and then completely forgetting about our request for mayo. To beat all, after his 10 minute convo at the other table, he nor anyone else ever returned to our table. While an inconvenience for the meal... we tried to take it as a blessing in disguise. Oh, my fries! The fries I got had been re-dipped in the grease. I worked fastfood as a teen and know exactly how re-dipped fries taste and feel when you eat them... and they'd definitely re-dipped old fries on me. Ashamed because i have no issue with waiting 10-15 minutes for fresh fries and will even tip extra for such. I had to go ask for a check before someone did return to our table. We are simple, rather undemanding customers in just about every case. However, even in a simplistic bar burger scene, these guys miss. It's wild that the best burger in Nashville is still at a small shack at the end of a T road (where Chestnut St deadends into Humpreys St... you guessed it, GABBY'S!). Yet, places like this keep ruining a simple, all American treat (in the hamburger) with poor customer service and just trying too hard and overcomplicating the burger. Go figure... read more
