    Flights of beer

Cute but small, well cozy, wine bar..a minus....a freezer full of fresh gelato as you enter...a plus. This place has both wine and beer flights served by a knowledgeable waiter. Nice ambience for date night and the wine bar is connected to a superb Italian restaurant so the bard fare is quite good. We had a combo appetizer plate full of bruschetta, calamari, mozzarella. The bistro fare has delicious a d fresh salads as well.

This is supposed to be a cappuccino. ... More like milk with a splash ofespresso......bland and no foam :(

Usually come here for cannoli's and cappucino. Good cannoli's but the cappucino was all milk with a splash of espresso. $4 for a terrible cappuccino......disappointed to say the least. I recommend the cannoli's coffee not so much.

The ambiance was incredibly warm, beachy, and romantic- perfect for a date night or girl's night. A truly beautiful space with an equally impressive menu! The entire night was filled with good bites only! To break it down: Seasonal Spritz: This was a sparkling wine with ginger, white peach, and citrus. So bright and refreshing! Honestly, my ideal spritz. Crudo: Highly recommend this starter! It featured thick cuts of yellowtail, watermelon, cucumber, ginger, thai chili, and thai basil. Really clean and fresh. I was surprised by the amount of fish we got! Local Catch: Another winner. This was roasted yellowtail with summer bean, tomato ragout, and Jimmy Nardello peppers. Absolutely no notes! Rigatoni: Our standout dish of the night! It featured summer squash, saffron butter squash blossoms, blistered tomatoes, and parmesan. I'm not usually a fan of cream based pastas, but this one blew me away. The veggies really brightened things up and I felt like I could eat plates and plates of this. If you get one thing, please let it be this! Since we mentioned in the res that we were celebrating, they brought out complementary champagne at the start of the meal. Loved that they treated us to cheeky little drinks- we're not the biggest fan of sweets!

The restaurant has a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar has a super chill vibe. The bar tender and wait staff is super friendly. They are all very knowledgeable about the wide selection of wines. The bar specializes in natural wines. With a huge variety of reds and whites. On top of that there is a small but varied and delicious menu of foods that goes from small snacks to more substantial pastas and fish. We tried the crisp, the rigatoni and the local catch. The crudo was light and fresh and the passion fruit oil was amazing and unique. The rigatoni was buttery and flavorful but surprisingly light. The local catch is light but substantial enough to complete the meal. The tomato sauce was delicate and sweet. Use the bread and butter to soak up the sauces or enjoy it on its own. Overall, the little victory wine bar is worth a stop!

We went for some drinks and something to eat after an event and it was the perfect place to wind down, listen to some great music and just enjoy yourself and your company. We had the charcuterie board with meat and it was perfect. There were a lot of different meats and cheeses I thoroughly enjoyed and a perfect accompaniment to the drinks, which was my main focus. I had the Exotica '58 Tiki and my gf had the Midnight Driver. Both were delicious and potent and looked incredible (see pic). We will definitely be back here but next time we might bring some folks to join the vibe... or maybe not. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I LOVE something a little herbal or bitter-- this was not that, all 3 of us agreed it was undrinkable. She brought it back to the bartender for a lemon drop, that ended up being made sickeningly sweet, like biting into a cinnamon roll!! Can't we just get a normal drink!? There's a wide, wide range between Pine-sol and cinnamon roll. It almost felt insulting, honestly, like a bad joke.. I ordered one of their "specials" and it also came out tasting like cleaning solution. I know bitter Italian liqueurs, I'm not freshly 21, and I can usually get by with a drink I don't prefer, but this was (once again) soooo over-the-top bitter. It just didn't taste like something you should even put in your body-- cleaning solution is the most accurate descriptor. I was excited because this place has great reviews, but we must have came on a bad night.. I'd come back for the DJs, just order water or something in a can.

Upon entrance, it is beyond cramped and chaotic (where are capacity enforcements, and that's just near the front half of the venue on the 6th floor. I had no clue this area was also used for hotel guests at the Mission Pacific, with ZERO dress code. You can come in flip-flops and a wife beater. There were kids, infants, some literally looked like mothers gave birth and then brought them from the hospital straight here like, WTF are these people thinking??? Ok, hotel priority, should've fact-checked that's on me, but it's just disgusting looking at the crowd here, absolutely abysmal. It makes Wal-Mart look like Rodeo Drive. I didnt see this awful of an assembly of people staying at Motel 6's. After our reservation was confirmed, we were led to a private area through a weighted gate door, I said good, away from the chaos. Instead, we were put in even more of a hellfire right in front of the pool which was littered with screaming, splashing kids left right up and down. Our seating areas were wet (see pics for proof) and my wife got her pants soaked by the time she realized it, I had to put a pillow underneath to avoid sitting on a soaked couch. Insanely traumatizing and epic fail+disaster. We ordered drinks they came 1 hour, yes 1 HOUR after our meals arrived, they took 50% off the drinks bill, when they should've (and really the whole bill) waived without question. Why??? Read on I'm just warming up. I must say, Kylie our server was extremely apologetic and super nice, which rendered the full tip amount, but she couldnt salvage this tragedy. They REALLY need to separate outside visitor dining reservations from hotel crowd, its ridiculous. There was a woman who bent over right in front of my mom, ass cheeks fully exposed, and changed bathing suits right in front of her so close that if my mom turned to the left, her nose would've been in her asshole. This is happening at 8pm. The food: Grilled Artichoke B+ Tuna Tartare F-, returned and refunded, disgusting Coulotte steak slices F-, Each family member took 1 slice and attempted to chew, every one of us spit out; unchewable sinew and gristle, $50 buck complete waste. Vadouvan Chicken Sando= A, shockingly delish and perfect. Marinated Seas Bass=A...like a ceviche super fresh. So in all, the service gets a star not for the delay of drinks but Kylie's compassion and demeanor and engagement with us, the food is all over the place but a 2* combined, and taking one star off for the insanely chaotic shit show a breath in front of us, the wet seats, and cherry on top, the bullshit 6% "service" charge tacked on. I will be having nightmares for a few weeks, if not months, to get this outta my system.

My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.

We cozied up until someone left a high top and then hung out there. We ordered some drinks that were specials for the night and some that were regularly on the menu. We had a great time! Drinks were good, I think also reasonably priced. Music went from 7pm to 10pm and we got there around 7:30 and it was good and busy!
