This is a long overdue review but I wanted to be 100 sure the whole process was accurately reflected cause this is your face, ya feel me?! The last experience at another place left my brows reddish brown when it faded, and Dominique did an amazing job correcting them. From the first consultation she figured out how to correct the color and took a ton of time to make sure the shape, angle and width was right. So if you're planning to get your brows done, make sure you have time. The whole process took 2 hours. Dom equipped me with SO much stuff for the healing process; healing creams, face guards for showering and wipes. Super happy with the results, there wasn't any missing spots or gaps. Follow up was a month after and she added a touch of color to make sure they would last. They faded around 6/7months and had NO reddish brown discoloring like the other place. I came to Nikki for eyelash extensions and the results are AMAZING! First off, let's talk about the experience. Her studio is in a cute little cluster of boutiques that feels very clean and welcoming. The decór is very cute and makes you relax when you walk in. Nikki also made sure I was as comfortable as possible, giving me pillows and making sure I could put my feet up while I lay down. She was very gentle with my eyelids and there was no discomfort at all. :) The whole process took about 2 1/2 hours but this will vary based off of your own lashes. Don't forget to bring your parking ticket so she can validate for you! Now, the lashes. They honestly look SO GOOD. She gave me very natural looking lashes since I don't wear that much makeup on a regular basis, but if you wanted very dramatic lashes or any other style I'm sure she could accommodate you. I recently just got my second touch up even though I was so satisfied with my first one! I have really oily skin and I basically had really uneven eyebrows... but Nikki made me feel so comfortable and confident that everything was going to be great! I had to wait a few weeks after my touch up is healed to write an unbiased review. the 90's ruined everyone's brows, including mine. I've drawn them everyday of my life for years now, because tattooing my eyebrows was not an option, after seeing SO many women with red/ blue/ green eyebrows from tattoo, and not to mention, they look SO fake! I finally found microblading as an acceptable way to do permanent eyebrows because of how natural it looks, and I'm glad I went to Nikki for it. My brows were uneven/ asymmetrical- one was higher than the other, and I always hated them, but I didn't know how to fix them. Nikki did two options for me to choose from, I was surprised how my brows could look symmetrical! total time spent was about 2 hours- most of the time was used to "design" the eyebrows, the actual microblading/ shading procedure was definitely shorter than the designing. a few weeks later, before my touch up, my brows had faded and I felt like some areas were still not symmetrical (I am a little OCD about symmetry), so the touch up session Nikki really listened and took her time to make sure I was satisfied with my brows. I'd highly recommend Nikki to anyone who needs their brows done. She really listens, cares, clean, and wants you to look the best! Tips: - Nikki is the SWEETEST! she's also very easy to talk to and your session won't be awkward. bonus she loves animals. - don't be afraid to ask for numbing cream. it WILL hurt, but coming from someone who is terrified of getting a vaccine, and I was still able to go through both initial procedure & touch up, anyone else can handle it. I've asked Nikki to soak my brows in numbing cream and she made sure I was comfortable & checked in on me on the pain level periodically. some people do fall asleep, like my sister, so...it's all depends on the person. -Nikki will explain the difference between only microblading procedure vs. microblading/ ombre procedure. it's all depends on your preference. -be prepared to take care of your brows after- don't do this right before a big event, your brows may peel during the healing process. they cannot touch water for 10 days and you will need to apply ointment on the for 10 days. don't go to the sauna, don't get a facial, stay away from direct sun etc. - your brows are supposed to be sisters, not twins, your face isn't completely symmetrical, so your brows won't be 100% symmetrical, and that's ok! they absolutely will look amazing, Nikki uses a ruler to make sure they're symmetrical and spends lots of time on making sure they're great and you're happy with your brows. - microblading/ ombre will last about 2-3 years, it's semi permanent, so you can continue to touch up if you love the brows, or wait 2-3 years if you wan to change the shape of your brows. I love my eyebrows!! As a first-timer, I would definitely recommend Nikki. She's super sweet and walks you through the entire process and answers any questions or concerns. Nikki is my go-to in Los Angeles!! She's SO sweet and very meticulous with her work - she did my eyelash extensions and I got a L-curl "kitten lash" look that really enhances my eyes without looking too crazy/unnatural. Because the L-curl is more natural, it doesn't look as weird as the C or G-type lashes lashes after a few weeks of growth. A few minutes in, she noticed that I have super sensitive eyes and took the extra time to carefully fan and set the lashes throughout the entire appointment. First of all, I have never in my life gotten semi-permanent makeup done so when I decided to get my brows done, I was pretty nervous but excited at the same time. I got lucky with having chosen Nikki to do my brows. She's warm and friendly. I had a consultation on the day of the procedure and she answered all my questions. I gave her an earful of what I didn't want my eyebrows to look like (that's how nervous I was). During the procedure, she applied numbing cream to ease the pain. You will still feel a scraping along your brow, which is mildly uncomfortable, BUT totally worth it for the final outcome. I go back in a few weeks for a touch up.
