Pound Hill Creamery & Cafe serves Gifford's ice cream, coffee and simple breakfast foods, such as muffins, bagels, egg sandwiches and croissants. I had their egg, cheese, and sausage on a croissant. It was so very good, buttery, and fresh. For ice cream, I had their pistachio nut. I really enjoyed that the ice cream had pistachios in it. The Cape Cod was delicious! Nice and crispy fish even though I brought it home. Their falafel is always moist and delicious as well. My other favorite sandwiches are the Varone and Goldfinger. The pizza itself was decent. Crust isn't quite floppy enough to be true NY style, but it was good nonetheless. The sauce was tasty and the cheese wasn't wicked greasy. They were also cooked correctly for an order that contained no extra directions. I might consider ordering them well done next time. I will order again in the future and hope to have as good of an experience.

The restaurant is small (only seats 48) so reservations are recommended. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, there wasn't very many people while we were there so I'm not sure how loud it gets when busy. They have a full bar so I ordered a drink and my husband loves his craft beers and they had a few (but he always prefers if they have a beer menu so he can read the beer description). For appetizers we ordered shrimp cocktail and the meatball. The shrimp and sauce were delicious, and the meatball was HUGE (we almost could have a meal with that!!! The meatball came with lots of sauce and ricotta with 2 toasted bread slices (we devoured every bit!). For dinner we shared 2 entrees, we got the seafood casserole which came with choice of side (we picked baked potato) and a vegetable medley, and the southern fried pork chops that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The food was so delicious we ate what we could and had to bring food home. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was one of the best places we've tried in a while. We eat out at least weekly and most places we don't go back for a second visit, but Lucky Dog Tavern will definitely stay on our rotation of places we love.

The cheese was chewy and greasy, and the sauce had no flavor. The wings were ok but they were slightly overdone and a little greasy too. I will give them another try someday as everyone there was helpful and friendly. It seems like the dine-in reviews are a little higher so perhaps that might be the thing to do?
