Those two gentlemen happened to work in Wing KYng. I told them once I procured my one sought out item in the farmer's market inside the building, I would be returning to procure some of that chicken. Upon my return to Wing KYng, I began asking my typical questions: do they have anything gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and egg free? The staff member was very knowledgeable and advised me that the dry rubs were my best option. I have a myriad of food sensitivities, so I browsed the dry rub options available, and chose a 6 piece chicken wings with Lemon Pepper dry rub. O M Goodness!!Fabulous is the first word to come to mind! The skin was so delectably crunchy, the chicken was moist and tender, and the flavor was perfectly balanced! The cost was $12.00, which is a great price in my mind for the best fried chicken I've had in a good many years. Although I cannot speak to these items, they offer a wide variety of flavors, dips, and Parmesan coated home cut French fries as well. I witnessed one staff member actually cutting the potatoes for the French fries. Truly nice folks work here, and the chicken was phenomenal!!! I will be returning here for sure!

There's not much to do in that little town and it's not close enough to Cincinnati to make it a good place to stop on the way there from here, but it's worth going there just to eat and return home. The dinner portion is large enough to split with another person if you don't eat lots of food. You would probably have leftovers if you got the dinner portion for only yourself. I haven't tried the buffet, so I can't comment on how fresh everything stays, and at this point during the Covid-19 pandemic, they aren't serving meals inside anyway, only take-out meals. It's not a large restaurant--it's actually rather small. It's not decorated like expensive restaurants but it's clean and works for us. We don't go there often because of the drive time, but if it were in our town, we'd eat there at least twice a month, if nor weekly. We've even driven there once just for take-out, then ate in the car and went home. Prices are reasonable, just a little more than you'd pay for a McDonald's quarter pounder meal for a lunch entrée, and a couple dollars more for dinner size portions, which you can get even at lunch time if you're really hungry. The lady who runs the place is very nice. Wait times for our meals were reasonable, but it wasn't crowded since I often eat at odd times of the day when there's not a lot of people in the room.

My husband chose mashed potatoes and gravy and I chose a salad and soup, which was chicken & dumplings. As soon as the chicken & dumplings came to the table is was a bit off-putting with the instant smell of canned meat. There seemed to be a combination of both stringy white meat chicken and weird, pink canned chicken. It didn't just smell like canned chicken, it tasted like it too. Making it unappetizing. I didn't eat much of it. The salad was fine. My husband said the sides in his meal were definitely instant potatoes and canned gravy and green beans. But he expected that and said, while they weren't great, they were edible. Both of us thought the catfish was pretty good. Not a standout but decent. It wasn't over fried and fish tasted ok. The tartar sauce was mostly all mayonnaise. The service was quick and friendly. We'll be back and check out more of their menu.
