This place is OK.
We stopped in recently for a late lunch. We both ordered the Catfish Dinner. It's served with your choice of two sides. My husband chose mashed potatoes and gravy and I chose a salad and soup, which was chicken & dumplings.
As soon as the chicken & dumplings came to the table is was a bit off-putting with the instant smell of canned meat. There seemed to be a combination of both stringy white meat chicken and weird, pink canned chicken. It didn't just smell like canned chicken, it tasted like it too. Making it unappetizing. I didn't eat much of it.
The salad was fine.
My husband said the sides in his meal were definitely instant potatoes and canned gravy and green beans. But he expected that and said, while they weren't great, they were edible.
Both of us thought the catfish was pretty good. Not a standout but decent. It wasn't over fried and fish tasted ok. The tartar sauce was mostly all mayonnaise.
The service was quick and friendly.
We'll be back and check out more of their menu. read more
